  1. Wind Mist took a step forward, allowing herself to participate in that improvised class given by Palétte. She knew he was maybe being a little bit too harsh, but only that way young ponies would understand the true meaning of art. She stood in front of the painging, tilting her head to the sides for several times, and even shading her sight with her wide pegasus wings. After a few long minutes, she had heard the students mumble among each other, like hey had done with Palétte himself when he looked at his painting. But this time, she heard giggles as well, as if she was making something really funny. Maybe she was, but over the years that had been the way she had learned to appreciate art pieces.

She finally turned to the artist. "Well, I am no specialist, but in this painting I see the contrast between the cold colors -blue for example- and the warm colors -red and orange for example. But the presence of purple, which is almost a neutral color, makes me see that there is some sort of conciliation that Mr. Palétte tried to find between cold and warm colors in order to keep the painting neutral in some areas. The base, hmmm ... makes me think about fire, but a fire that is not so intense after all, since the strokes are fading because of the blue.", she explained, looking at their frightened little faces.

  2. Wind Mist was still amazed at how Pinkie Pie had managed to know that there was something about to fall right over her new friend's head. However, she had a short time to think about that, because young Boombox opened his mouth and let out a long cry of fear from what had just happened. He held his peppermint stick tightly in one of his hooves, yet his tears didn't stop rolling down his tiny little cheeks. Wind Mist turned her head around to face him right away, and calmed him down by rubbing her head against his own. "There there, it's over now, sweetie. Mommy's here."

  3. The mare smiled widely, and nodded at him. "I would be glad to watch.", she said, looking at the large group of ponies. She wondered how would it be to keep so many minds focused on her, specially if she was talking about a particularly deep subject. But if the subject was that interesting, why not?

  4. ((Sorry about the delay everypony))

Wind Mist had been staring at Pinkie Pie the whole entire time she had been talking, her brows raising and a few giggles leaving her mouth. "Oh that sure is silly, Pinkie. Unicorns in the sea is quite a sight.", she said, letting out a laugh. When Pinkie handed her her muffin, she picked it up and gave small and delicate bites. She then turned to Newsworthy and sighed, still with a smile on her face. "I'm sure you will. But don't make the same mistake I did, you really have to make sure that it is your special somepony.", she said, with thoughts and memories running even through her eyes. Boombox kept suckling on the peppermint stick, his eyes showing a huge joy.

  5. The mare got up slowly when she was told to be quiet, looking sadly through the cell's bars. She didn't even need to say anything: her eyes said it all, and she just held her tears because nopony that had kept her incarcerated like that deserved to see her tears and a sign of defeat. She just couldn't show what truly was going through her mind and heart, specially because of her baby son that was still asleep on her side baby carrier. "Excuse me miss ... But could you please tell me what is going to happen to us? I need to feed my baby and they took my saddlebag away ...", she said, not managing to hold a tear that fell down from her already watery eyes.

  6. The little foal looked up, the treat definitely calling for his attention. He strethed his little arm and reached for it, returning to his cuddling moment in his carrier and suckling on the peppermint stick. "Thank you, Pinkie.", Wind Mist said, "Yes, he is. With a few spoons of medicine and good naps, he will soon be up in his hooves again."

  7. "Well yes, the doctor said he had a red hoof fever. But he will be fine in no time !", she said, taking a few steps forward and taking a bit out of her saddlebag, "A strawberry cupcake please, Pinkie Pie.", she asked, looking at Pinkie Pie with a wide smile.

  8. Wind Mist had heard the whole conversation from the background, and couldn't help but to let out a soft giggle. Her baby stared at her, mimicking her moves. And Wind Mist knew that Boombox's laughter was the most beautiful thing she had heard in her whole entire life. She took a few steps further, approaching the balcony to talk to the two ponies that were standing in there, talking to the shopkeeper Pinkie Pie. With the sight of the treats already in Newsworthy's hoof, Boombox's eyes glew in glee. "Excuse me, gentleponies...", Wind Mist started, "Were you the ones I almost ran over when I entered Doctor Golden Heart's office?"

  9. Wind Mist noticed that Palétte's attitude had changed hastily, yet she knew that nothing was lost. She had had to bring her young one with her, mainly because she couldn't leave him back at Hoofington without any supervising. She caressed him with some feathers from her right wing, and the baby blinked a couple of times, hiccuping with the fear he had just felt on his nightmare. Yet Wind Mist already knew him as the base of her hoof, and already knew how to solve that.

"Yes, don't worry. It was just a bad dream. He will be back to sleep in no time.", she said. Her caresses on the baby's face still hadn't stopped, and young Boombox was closing his eyes a few seconds later. And in no time, he was back to sleep with a long yawn, curling back into his carrier.

She looked back at the painter. "Now, where were we Mr. Palétte?", she asked, with a wide smile back on her face.

  10. Why had she ended up in there? Why ?! She thought that pottery piece had been abandoned to its own luck, and that she could take it to her own collection. It was beautiful indeed, and she couldn't believe somepony had just left it in the streets of Canterlot so abandoned. But as she comproved later, it belonged to a very grumpy old farmer that didn't want to let go of it, not even for a bag full of bits. She had ended up in that dirty dark cell, with no crime comitted at all. And how could they throw a mare AND her one month old foal into that place where criminals belonged ? She was in the wrong place. Definitely.

She lowered her head, looking at her baby son Boombox, that was sleeping like he didn't know what was going on. And she was glad he knew nothing about it, because if he did, he would be crying at the top of his lungs. She sighed once again, and started mumbling a song that echoed all over the prison:

  11. For a second, Wind Mist's happy expression turned into one of amazement, her mouth forming a small "o" as she looked up at the piece. Her eyes travelled from a corner to the other of the painting as she absolutely fell in love with it. She was even blinking slower, until a wide smile finally formed on her face. "Well, this one is my favorite, with no doubts at all!", she said, looking back at Palétte now with an excited expression, filling even her eyes. She had been looking for the perfect painting to fill the empty wall of her collection room, yet she hadn't found it yet. Maybe because she hadn't met the artist at the time, maybe not. But Palétte felt a really nice vibration coming from that painting. The flowers, the pot, the colours! Everything seemed to match perfectly and there were no flaws in her opinion. She was more specialized in pottery and relics, but that same piece looked really nice to her. "I'll take it too of --"

But her "alarm clock" rang in a sudden, waking her up from her recently arrived dreamland. Boombox cuddled himself against the carrier he was in and his vocal mode was on: as if somepony was hurting him, he started to cry at the top of his lungs, startling his mother a little bit while a few tears rolled down his tiny cheeks. Wind Mist looked down at him, her expression turning to a motherly one right away. "Excuse me, Mr. Palétte ...", she mumbled, blushing a bit, "There there, sweetheart. It was just a bad dream."

  12. Wind Mist thanked the doctor once again and left hid office, heading to the outside. She knew she had to cheer Boombox up, at least until he had to take his medicine. However, she had noticed she had ran into a pair of ponies when she entered the office, and she hadn't even apologized for such an abrupt entrance. After all, she wasn't made for the show business ... She looked down at the sleepy foal sleeping on his carrier. "Well, what do you think we go look for them in Sugarcube Corner, sweety?", she said with a smile, caressing him with one of her feathers. She headed to the store and pushed the door, feeling the soft scent in her nose right away. She looked around, still not looking at the ponies that were already there.

  13. The elegant mare blushed heavily and then took a hoof to her muzzle, giggling behind of it. "You can talk to a lady as well as you can paint, Mr. Palétte!", she said, shaking the same hoof she had had over her mouth at him. "I would love to see one more painting or two, for as long as you let me watch you work with the ones studying you art.", she said, looking at the large group that had just arrived. For a moment she got thoughtful ... She could already imagine her little boombox all grown up in a group like that, studying whatever talent fate had chosen for him. She smiled widely, her eyes smiling together with her lips.

  14. Wind Mist paced to Palétte's side once again, and her eyes now seemed to try to catch his attention but at the same time they showed she was worried about something. "Oh, that would be very nice of you to show me!", she said, but lowering her head right away, "But aren't I occupying your time too much? I bet there are lots of other ponies who want to talk to you, and I don't want to be a burden.", she said, scratching the back of her ear with one hoof. If there was a wuality that Wind Mist had, was that she worried about others before she worried about herself. And that new friend of hers was no exception.

  15. A whole smile filled Wind Mist's face right away, and a sigh was clearly heard leaving her chest. She headed to the table and picked her baby up again, placing him on carrier and taking the medicine to keep it in her own saddlebag. "Thank you so much Doctor Golden Heart! I don't know how to thank you.", she said, covering her baby with a wing so that he wouldn't get cold.

    Character Summary

    History:

Saturna was born and always lived in Canterlot, in a humble home, surrounded by everything that is mystic and even mysterious. As a young foal, she was never that talkative, and her shiness often made her stay away from the other foals. However, she thought about things that nopony her age her dreamed about. She thought and reflected about the heart of things, about everything behind everything. She always had the greatest ideas about things, but her thoughts were based on the mystic surroundings of Canterlot. What fascinated her the most was her horn, which she kept trying to learn as much as she could. After the tragedy that later on brought her her cutie mark, she grew up in all kind of ways and managed to get her own esoteric shop, selling all sort of magical items.

    Parents:

Her parents didn't approve of such high ideas, simply because they were humble farmers who wanted to have all hooves on earth, and never dreamt that further away from that. They often asked Saturna to help them out in the fields and selling their crops in the market, but her mind was far away from that. They were focused on turning Golden Wish into a hard working farmer, but fate had something else planned for this young filly ...

    Cutie Mark Story:

Like in any good medieval tale, Canterlot is filled with magic. And even Saturna's parents knew that, because even being simple farmers, they knew that some of the best seeds and plants to sell were often found in the Raptorlaw Canyon. So one day, they left their young filly with one of her aunts and left in search for some of those amazing rops that would make them have some more bits in their pockets. They were supposed to take only two days, but weeks and even months passed with no sight of young Saturna's parents to be seen. The filly cried for days, and lived with her aunt from that day on. She was kind, and allowed her to explore her so beloved books. She had a little bit more money than her parents used to have, and so Saturna had a lot of books at her disposal. Her days were spent reading and investigating everything she could about magic. But one day, she heard a very important sentence from her aunt: "The ones that we love and that are far away, turn into a star that shows up in the sky.", with that sentence, Saturna started to study everything she could about stars so that she could find out the stars corresponding to her parents, but she simply couldn't.

One night, when Saturna was feeling her heart tighter than ever, she headed out and had a seat at the top of a hill. In that Summer night, every single star was visible in the sky, and she looked at all of them. But two special ones caught her attention, and she didn't know why. "One day, I will find you. I promise.", she mumbled to herself. Right in that moment, those two stars sparkled more than all the others, and her cutie mark appeared: a golden star in a bottle.

    Flaws:

Saturna can be quite distracted sometimes, because she has a short attention span and her mind is in one thousand places at a time. So sometimes it's hard for her to tell her hooves to move in a way so she can walk properly. And when she gets melancholic and thoughtful, she can hear nopony at all. It seems like she is in her own world, thinking about her own things that nopony else would understand. And maybe they truely wouldn't ...

    Personality:

This sweet filly may be a little bit shy and thoughtful, but she has a completely pure heart and never judges the ones that cross her path. She knows lots of things, but she doesn't know that much about the most common things. Still, she doesn't think she's a know-it-all and simply shares her knowledge with others.

  17. When thw mare heard that his temperature was high, she felt even moreu uncomfortable in her spot, even though that was something she already knew. She then stood next to the chair she had been seatting on, not coming any closer to the working doctor. "So? What did you find out?", she asked in a somewhat calmer tone. Now that she would know how to heal her little one, she had her heart at ease, and she just needed to hear what she should do to make him go back to normal. A little smile was starting to grow on her face, but she wanted to hear what the doctor had to say first. Boombox took a hoof to his mouth and suckled on it, looking with his illness eyes to the empty space.

  18. Even if feeling reluctant about it, Wind Mist headed to the closest chair and had a seat. However, she wasn't that quieted by the doctor's words, even after knowing that her son was now in good hands. She watched Golden Heart's actions carefully as he examined her son, that had stopped crying but was now looking at her with the big thermometer hanging from his lower lip. It was clearly shaking, just like the rest of his body, as he tried to hold his tears and look at his mother as if in need for help. Wind Mist casted him a wide smile, so that it could warm his tiny heart. "He'll be okay, right Doc?"

  19. With her attention span kicking again, Carousel turned to SeaSkies and smiled. "No, I rarely come to the beach. I prefer staying at the county fairs!", she said, lifting one of her hind legs to show her cutie mark with a lollipop coloured like her mane. Using that same hoof, she scratched her ear, letting out a puff of sand jump out of her ear. Shaking her head, she then turned her attentions to Klutz. "Yes, I do make them myself indeed!", she said, trying to look at her horn obviously with no success. "I use my magic to mix and match every single ingredient, then I take all of those candies to the fairs."

  20. The gentle mare with a crystaline and pure voice did as she was told, and came in with her little bundle rying under her wing. She pulled Boombox gently out of his baby carrier with her teeth and layed him down carefully over the table. He was shaking as if he was cold, but the mare had felt him hot as everything. "My name is Wind Mist, and this is my son Boombox. He cried all night long and he started crying not long ago. I can feel him burning in fever but I don't know what ...", the mare stumbled on her own words, taking a hoof to her forehead.

  21. ((Since the other one was posted in a rush, here comes a better one x3))

When the beige mare with a soft pink veil over her muzzle knocked on the door, the one month old foal stopped crying. But that calmness lasted for short, since his probable fever was hitting him again and that feeling was truely a nightmare for him. He seemed to scream and cry at the top of his small lungs, a thing his mother didn't quite find that possible. She seemed to be as desperate as her feverish son, and that mare was surelyweak when it came to a nervous situation.
