  1. Nice episode, but not without it's flaws. PROS: -The punch got "Spiked". Actually laughed out loud with this joke. -More Scootaloo/Rainbow Dash teasing. I really want to know if there is a reason (besides Scoots looking up to Dash) these two are seen together. -Spike the dastardly. MWAHAHAHAHAHA! -Another dragon being introduced. Especially nice is the fact that Spike is the one interacting with him, since this solves/avoids the plothole of "Dragonshy" by showing that Spike has no real sway towards his species. Either that or the dragons were both jerks. -"I'm out of quills. Need a sofa?" CONS: -The owl is quite possibly the most boring character on the show. Nothing interesting about him at all. The "Who?" joke wasn't even funny to begin with, so it was a bit cringe-worthy to see it used so many times. I would have liked the owl a lot more if he was shown to have actually been able to talk all along, since that would have at least bumped him to "Troll" status, but he's really bottom of the barrel right now. If they plan to show him in any future episodes, he'll hopefully have more personality than a robot. PRO AND CON: The fake dead mouse scene was REALLY over-planned out. I thought Spike would have stopped at decapitation but when he actually sprayed the "body" with ketchup, I really think they were pushing that "Kid-friendly" rating A LOT. But him getting caught in the middle of the act made me chuckle, and this wouldn't have made me raise any suspicions on a show for older audiences anyway. Anyway, not a bad episode regardless of the owl's blandness. I still place it above "Over a barrel" since it's ending isn't as rushed as that one. But that owl really needed more personality.
  2. I remember it like it was yesterday... ... Actually, I don't. I think the first episode I was really exposed to was...Feeling Pinkie Keen? Or perhaps the Stare Master? Needless to say, whatever episode I saw first, I liked what I was seeing, a LOT, so I searched for episode 1 on youtube and watched the entire season up until then, and I knew I found myself a gem of a new show. It was as if the innocence I once had as a child had been found once more. If I recall correctly, the reason I checked it out in the first place was because a lot of users were sporting pony avatars, and I was curious why.
  3. This is hard, this show wouldn't be the same if anyone of these ponies were missing. Applejack definitely gets my pick. The accent, the hat, the hard-worker, the hat, the bucking, the hat, the prehensile tail, the hat... Did I mention the hat? BUT WHY OH WHY DO YOU GIVE ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO CHOOSE ANOTHER?! ...I chose Rarity because of her amazing voice actress, and because she's underestimated by newcomers since she didn't get the spotlight until episode 14.
  4. Oooohh, I've got lots'a favorites, but I think I'm just gonna say Mario is my favorite franchise, since it pretty much taught me everything a game needs to be fun since I was young. Honorable mentions: The Legend of Zelda Metroid Donkey Kong Country Mega Man (Classic and X)
  5. I still have an old SNES from all the way back in 1993. It's eject button is busted, but it otherwise works perfectly. My N64 on the other hand...works great, but all of the controllers have busted sticks/buttons. Trying to play The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask on it, and Link can't run! :Fluttercry Thank Celestia for the Wii VC, I don't know how I could survive without my yearly intake of that game. I haven't played my SNES in several years, but my sisters and mother occasionally ask me to hook it up for them so they can play games on it. Usually Super Mario World or Yoshi's Island. Oh, Super Mario World is also the first game I ever played...I think. Either that one, or Super Mario All-Stars The oldest game I still regularly play is Nethack, though I hadn't heard of that game until 2009.
  6. All right, it's a pretty basic signature, but it'll do for now. I'm uploading pony vids regularly, so if any of ya'll interested, check my channel out, although I do upload other non-pony vids too. Now I think I'll go out to check the bigger pastures/boards if none of ya mind. Haha, didn't expect a vid like that. It even stars AJ. It's almost eerily fitting.
  7. This really was how I acted when I watched Applebuck Season for the 1st time. Most shows can't keep my attention longer than half an hour these days, even if I really enjoy it. BUT NOT THESE PONIES, they got me hook, line and apple! Ended up watching all available episodes at the time and made sure to preserve whatever pony-related-stuff I could find within the depths of my hard drive immediately before something terrible happens. Squeed in glee when I heard a second season was on the way, fortunately.
  8. Whoops, can't get a signature yet. Hehe, I'm such a silly pony.
  9. Hey there! Well, if you check the Freebie Forum Avatars / Signatures topic, you might find another avatar that's to your liking. It's seems riverhippo took the liberty of quoting one of my welcoming speeches. All the same, Welcome to the Equestria Forums! Thanks! Checked out the link, but I didn't find another AJ avatar that really suited me. (Yes, I <3 AJ, if ya'll noticed) I think I'll get myself a signature now.
  10. Thanks everypony! Got myself an avatar, anyone like it? Is there other AJ avatars somepony could recommend me?
  11. ...hi. 21-year old male here. Been a fan of the new show since...late-February, I believe. I wanted to join the herd then, but my studies were too much for me at the time. (Though not too much to keep track of new episodes.) But I'm done with college now, so I'd like to share (and care) with ya'll the magic of these wonderful ponies!
