  1. As soon as I saw your post title I was tempted to start talking in that style. However, I'd look rather weird saying it. I'm way too nerdy to make that stuff look good.

Also, real world news would imply that there is any world outside of ponies. I refuse to believe this. xD

  2. "I'm Snapshot," he replied. "As for the rush, heh, you probably would be leaving in a hurry as well if you ate what's in that building." He pointed to the doors behind him. "Not the best stuff in the world."

Noticing Cloud, he held out his hand. "Hello, I'm Snapshot, nice to meet you."

  3. Snapshot woke to his alarm, and rolled over to hit the snooze button. His hoof unfortunately missed, and he found himself wide awake on the cold hard tile of his dorm room. Originally, he wasn't too enthusiastic about going to school again, however, once he heard he could major in photography, he was more willing to comply. He didn't have enough money for a private room, however, his new roommate didn't seem too over the edge (someone can join in, or I could NPC later on).

Floating his camera around his neck, he walked out of the room, and headed across campus to the cafeteria. He didn't care what the other ponies said, it had to be better than Ramen every day. Of course, he started doubting this judgement as piles of colored mush were slopped onto the plate. Snapshot paid, ate quickly, and got out of there as soon as he could.

In his rush out the door, he almost ran into a grey unicorn, similar to himself. Her hair was different, black and pink instead of his bluish green, but could've passed off as siblings if they mentioned it to somepony.

"I'm so sorry," he said to the mare. "Are you alright?"

  4. Snapshot opened the door and squinted as the sun reflected off of the snow. The whites and blue tints lightly brushed everything in Ponyville, giving it a cheerful atmosphere. Taking a few steps outside, Snapshot shivered, and quickly put his hooves back inside the building. He wished he could take his fireplace along with him during the short trip, however, he knew that he couldn’t. Snapshot made a quick run through the house, picking up all of the necessary items, (his camera and his tripod) and then headed for the doorway once more, this time fully expecting the cold that would greet his hooves as he planted them in the snow bank outside his house. Walking away from his house, he said hello to a few of the ponies he passed before leaving the town.

As Snapshot wandered, he made his way slowly over to the lake near Ponyville, planning to use the darker blue of the thin ice as contrast to the lighter snow of the surrounding area. Hanging his camera from a tree, he figured a nice place to set his tripod, and started out across the lake. While the ice was sort of thin, he imagined that his light bodyweight wouldn’t do much to break it. He was a very careful pony, after all. Soon enough, he found himself right near the center, and it was the perfect spot to set down the tripod. Taking the device off his back, he set it down right as a resounding *crack* filled the silence. Snapshot jumped at the noise, which proved to be a terrible mistake. As he came down on top of the ice, it split into four or five large chunks, tossing him into the frozen pond. Snapshot’s head went a couple of feet under the water, and he swam to the top, trying to catch a breath. He was unable to, though, when two pieces of ice smashed right where his head was about to be, closing off any chance at air. Unable to hold his breath much longer, Snapshot passed out, unconscious.

  5. ((OOC: I just realized that Sketch got back. Sorry I took so long))

So much of the work was physically draining. Snapshot soon realized the obvious truth. "I'm out of shape," he said to himself. Of course, that didn't mean he couldn't help out. He was still more than capable of moving the rubble, and also took pictures of places where the rescue team still needed to look. Sending the pictures to the team leader, he would then go about his business clearing more of the rubble and wiping his forehead from the sweat that was now dripping down his face.

He did realize that there were still plenty of ponies that they wouldn't be able to save, however, he tried to put that thought at the back of his mind and focus on the job at hand. He also knew that he would probably be the one who would have to take pictures for the obituar- Oh Celestia I'm going insane, he thought.

  6. I always liked the idea of other worlds and parallel universes being the Sci Fi nut I am :smirk:

Parallel universes actually aren't that sci to anymore with the introduction of quantum mechanics. What crescent was talking about is actually a well known and semi accepted theory of the universe, and it does in fact ponies do exist. Just not here, unfortunately.

  7. ((OOC: My pony's not white, lol. That's just a line drawing.))

Walking over to the side of the bed, Snapshot searched around for some sort of light source less bright than the overhead. Resting his hand on a small reading lamp, he flipped the switch and a dull yellow glow filled the room. Even this smaller light made the orange pony squint, and shield her eyes with her hoof. Sitting down next to her, he decided to get straight to the point. "I didn't find your bag, or your container," he said. "Once you're better, you might be able to help me look, but that'll take a while." Realizing that he forgot to introduce himself, he held out a hoof to her. "I'm Snapshot, by the way."

  8. That picture reminds me so much of Suzy Turquoise Blue from the Keys to the Kingdom series.... Oh, uh, welcome. :D I'm a bit of a gamer myself, if not a slightly unorthodox one, so we should get along fine.

  9. Ah, kk. I was under the impression that Foal=Cutie Mark crusaters

    Filly/Colt=Mane 6

    Mare/Stallion=Mr. and Mrs. Cake

    just as an example.

Assuming that the Mane 6 are actually mares, then that would mean that Foal=The cake children

    Filly/Colt=Cutie Mark Crusaders

    Mare/Stallion=Everything above that mark?

  10. Haha, someone on a different site had that exact same avitar. I saw it in the recent topics and went "Oh my go- oh wait, different person." Still nice to have you here, though, and hope you enjoy your stay.

  11. Snapshot looked at the bleak landscape in front of him. "I don't even know where to begin," he murmured to himself. After joining up with the rest of the task force, an official had decided that Snapshot put his photography skills to use to motivate more ponies to help the cause. The only problem, he saw, was that there was too much wreckage to show in just a couple of photos. He would have to get creative with this one.

Taking a few pictures of the mane street, he then worked his way towards the outskirts of the city, trying to find a higher vantage point. He found one after a few minutes, and climbed the hill until he could see the entire skyline. Adjusting the focus, he pressed the shutter and promptly ran back into town with what he had at the time. Handing them to the official, he spoke over his panted breaths, "Use them as needed. Is there anything else I could do?"

"Yes," the pony replied. "Join them." He pointed his hoof at a group of ponies in light leather armor. Snapshot nodded, and went over to the pony who seemed to be leading the group.

"I've been told to assist you. Just tell me what to do and I'll do it," He told the pony.

  12. As Snapshot walked back into the town square, he immediately noticed something was amiss. Trying to locate the Orange pegasis, he wandered around the square, hoping to catch a glimpse of her. Unfortunately, he didn't see her anywhere.

Turning towards a couple of bystanders, he asked "Has anyone seen a pegasis around, about ye high, bright orange and knocked unconsious?" None of them have. About ready to give up, he leaned against a doorframe, resting his full bodyweight on the wood panel. No sooner had he gotten into position when Nurse Redheart motioned him inside.

"I couldn't help but overhear your conversation over there," She said to him. "I think I know which pony you're talking about. I took her in to treat her because her injurys were so bad." Leading him over to another door, she pointed through the window. "Is that her?"

There, the orange pony sat on the side of a hospital bed. The lights were off, probably in order to help her fall asleep, which didn't seem to work. "That would be her," Snapshot replied. "May I talk with her?"

"Only for a while. She needs her rest."

"Okay then, thank you." Snapshot opened the door, and stepped into the room.
