Watching Crescent jump up and down like an excited foal, Val chuckled in amusmnet as he commented "Its not gonna be easy, because for all we know; we might not be the only ones aiming for this goal. Since alot of pegasus claim to be the fastest/best in all of Equestria; its best to assume that we wont be the only ones goin for the gold. So for that, I'd say its best that we get going as soon as possible" Val said seriously. If he could find enough for two, perhaps he could try and get to the moon. Just to see what its like up there.

"Im fine, really. I just neeed to...urrg, okay Im hurt" Val admitted as he slammed his head into the back of a tree. Looking up, he grunted as he tried to avoid looking at Midnight so she wouldnt see the hurt in his eye. "I really dont want you to out on your own, but I guess I dont really have a choice". Looking at her, he sighed "I want you to promise me something. Promise me that if it gets too danergous for you, that you'll pull out to safety. If you were to get hurt or killed, I dont know what I would do" he pleaded to Midnight.

"Its not the gems or the plants that will help you dude" Val smirked cheerfully as he tried to explain his idea better. "Its the properties inside that will allow you to get to the moon. Once i combine the properties, it will enable you to gain the ability to fly to the moon after its been crushed down into liquid form. After that, you just need to drink the liquid and it will increase your flight speed by five-ten fold; giving you the nessecary power to get to the moon".

Valoren gasped, not able to beleive what she was suggesting!! "Y..you want to go in alone? Thats crazy!! Im not doubting you, but we're a team" Val insisted, as he got up; hissing in pain as he ignored it to the best of his ability. "Whatever we do, we do together. I know that Im hurt, but its not gonna slow me down, I promise!! I need to help out in anyway I can" he insisted as he couldnt find it in himself to just let her go off alone.

Val wasnt really ready to admit that it really was hurting him. The pain that he was feeling in his back was rather unpleasent, since he found it hurt just to walk. However, he wasnt about to admit that to his friend since he needed to be strong for the both of them. For that, they would be able to get to this invitation thingy tommorow, and hopefully survivie another day. Last thing he wanted was to end up in some bottomeless pit, starving to death. That would seriously suck!! Flinching, he thought to himself "Its alright. It will heal in time. Just is gonna ach abit to fly. But I'll live" he told himself. Looking at Midnight, he offered her a cheerful smile; attemtphing to brush off the pain. He didnt want her to feel bad or nothing. Watching as she stood, he asked "Whats wrong"?

"Your breathtaking" Val commented casually, a smirk on his face to signify the amount of love that he was feeling right now towards Lila. Nuzzling his cheek against her, Val smiled as he noticed something at the bottom of the hill. Something shinny, and glowing so brihgtly that Val could have sworn that he was hearing some humming, or...singing? Blinking, he looked to Lila as he comented "Hey..do..do you hear that".

Val watched silenelty as Midnight did what he said, smiling as they were able to teach each other new things. "Heh, you learn something new everyday" Val smiled lightly. Flincihing at the pain, he sighed as he felt it started to leave. Shaking his head, he smiled lightly "I did it because your my friend, and I cant let my friends get hurt". Shrugging, as he shook his wings he grunted "Wasnt the first time that I got burnt before, so I was able to handle it". Seeing the look on her face, Val commented "Its alright Midnight, I'm alright. I dont regret what I did".

"Okay, here's the plan" Val explained as he showed what he wrote down. "What we need to do, is fine some Baby blue saphires, amd crack them open. After that, we have to take some speedster stems from a plant found in the Everfree forest" started off Val, as he started to show on the map where they were located. "In doing so, we'll be able to create a nesscary liquid that you'll have to drink to give you the speed in order to make it to the moon. The Baby blue sapphires are nessecary because they get there potency power from the moon, and the speedster stems are nessecary just for you to break the atmosphere". Looking up, he smiled weakly "Once we have all the nesscary steps done, we will be able to get you to the moon".

"Im going to put it back" Val insisted as he removed another parchment, and started to scribble down some notes. "I just needed to get out of there, because a guard was coming and I didnt exactly have time to do this. I'll wait abit before putting it back". Looking up, Val whisrped "But could you please keep the yelling down abit. We dont want the guards to know". Finishing up his copying, he whispered "Hold up" as he flew up towards the window. Peeking inside to see the guard was gone, he whispered "Be right back" as he flew back in. Seconds turned into mintues, as time went by. Then just as fast as he had left, Val repeapred, panting "Done. Scrolls back. Needed to do more elluding cause more guards came back...but hey, least we wont get in trouble now huh" shrugged the pegasus as he looked over the notes he had written down.

Cringing in pain at the constant hissing of the heat making its way past his fur, thorugh his skin, and towards his bones; Val forced a smile as he tried to shake off the obvious pain he was in. "Its cool, its cool. Hasnt been the first time that I took something like this to the back" chuckled Val weakly. Turning to walk away, he fell to a knee as he muttered "Alright yeah, Im gonna need help. Take some water from the river, and dump it into that thick leaf over there" Val pointed over towards a large leaf. "I recognized that leaf, the tiny pricks of it will help in cooling down my back" sighed Valoren.

Slipping around slowly out of the guards view, Val thought to himself "Not good, not good, not gooood". Eyes whipping in every direction for a means of escape, Val spotted what looked like an important mock up version of the element of loyalty. Grabbing it, he looked up as he thought "Celestia forgive me" as he rolled it off down towards another direction to get the guard away from the window. Watcthing the guard react quickly to the noise, Val galloped towards the window as he soared out and landed head first in the busehs next to Crescent. "Oof" Val grunted as he rubbed his sorehead, gripping the scroll in his other hoof.

"Aha" Val beamed wildly as he found something under the M section. Slowly removing it, Val peeked inside as he looked for what was hopefully a spell that would be able to send his friend to the moon. As he read, he went "oh...Oh..OHHHHHHH....uh oh". Flincing at what he saw, Val slapped a hoof to his face in exhapsertation. Well, wasnt this great. Although he yearned for challenges, and this was clearly one; a small part of him was annoyed cause he knew that it was going to upset his friend. He had to gather a few ingridents in order to start the spell. If he was a unicorn, then he would be able to use the spell much easier but since he wanst; he'd have to resort to this. "Oh well" Val shrugged as he slowly rolled up the scroll. Freezing as he heard the door to the chambers unlock, Val hide behind some shelves in fear as he could see the window was so close, and yet seemed so far away.

Smiling, Val commented "I guess so huh? I got alittle to silly in that race, but its no big deal". Notcing the view that the ridges offered, Val trotted over towards them as he sat down next to Sandy. Staring out as he could see the ocean in the distance, val looked at Sandy as he smiled warmly, wrapping a hoof around her waist as he brought her into a gentle hug. "Its a really beautiful view isnt it" he asked softly, as the sky had changed to a bright oranish-yellow light, the sun reflecting off of the ocean and making the sky even more amazing.

Briggs looked at the sword carefully, as he nodded "Hmm, it appears I was mistaken. My apologizes citizen for my anger. We have been getting many break in's all over Canterlot, so we've had to upgrade security messures" apoligizde the soldier. "You fool!! Getting mad at him like that" snapped Wedge at Briggs for his misdirection. Sighing, he apoloized as well as he siad "By your leave sir" as they went to resume guarding. Valoren was still inside however, and still looking through the scrolls so it was a hard to determine how long he would be in there. "Where is it" snapped Val angirly, as he contiued to go through scrolls.

Blinking as the sky suddenly lit up, Valoren glanced up as he gasped in horror. The sky was on fire!! Or at least thats how it looked to him!! Fire balls rained down upon the two of them, as they started to move left and right whilst galloping to avoid being scorched by the fire. Manueving past them, Val gasped as he saw one was about to hit Midnight sqaure in the back. Not about to let his friend get hurt, Val flew up and took the hit. Clencthing his teeth in pain at the feeling of the seering pain in his back, he was forced to gallop with her as his wings now hurt.

OOC: I had to take a few mintues to stop myself from laughing so hard at the pic ^_^ The two guards ponies looked at each other, taking in his story slowly. Turning back to him, the one on the right responded "I highly doubt that. The archives do contain scrolls on swords, but not many". "Isnt it possible that there is a scroll that could have something based on it. Briggs" commented Wedge, the one on the left. "Curses Wedge!! How do we know that this pony is being straight with us? THat sword looks far to rare, and unique to even belong to one such as him. Perhap's its a stolen good that need's to be confiscated" argued Briggs. "Oof" Val grunted as he looked left and right. The archives were huge!! Where was he supposed to start?! Under M for moon? L for Lunar? "This is gonna be tough" Val sighed.

Val smiled, amazed that he had there attention. "Well, the legend has it that along time ago before Equestria was ruled, the elemental energy of magic that made up all of the world was more out of control. Magic was much more powerful, and therefore more diffiuclt to control. However, during this time where ponies were distruting of each other due to a power struggle, there was one pony who wanted to fix it all, and open up everypony to the concept of love. His name was Eros, and he was madly in love with the princess of that time. Sadly however, she didnt return his feelings unless he could prove himself. For this, he went out in search of the Everlasting rose, a flower so beautiful and so powerful; that no pony could resist it's sight, nor the powerful pheromones that lied within it. Retrieving the flower, Eros was surprised that its effects worked!! The amount of passion he felt for the princess was overwhelming. Sadly however, its effects failed to work on her because by the time he returned from his journey; she had already fallen for somepony else. Ero's gave up, and became a hermit; devoid of any love and completly depleted of passion" finsihed Valoren with an almost saddened tone.

Val watched as Crescent made his way to the guard, as he went and hid behind a barrel. Watching the exchange, Val chuckled in amusment at the sight. "Well, you certaintly know how to get under there skin" chuckled Val. "STOP RIGHT THERE CRIMINAL SCUM" demanded the guard, blocking Crescent from entering. "What do you think that you are doing?! The private scrolls are off limit to all but royalty. Leave now" demanded the other on the left, an angry look in his eye.

Val blinked as he looked up at where she pointed. "OOoooo, I getcha" Val nodded in agreement, a slow smirk etching onto his face as he took off and landed on the branch. Nodding to Midnight as she was making her way up, he thought to himself "We need to find a way to get past the rules. The gamemakers that are watching, are most likely enjoying watching us scamper/scurry. IF we can figure out a way to..but how". Looking off into the distance, Val could see some thick smoke billowing. "Something is..burning"? he thought.

"Easy" panted Val as he bended over to catch his breathe after that little skrimish. Turning to face Midnight, he gave her a sheepish grin as he responded "We should find a new location with more resources, and safety cause if this guy was near our old one, then Im pretty sure its not a good idea to go back to the old location. What we should do, is spread out and find a new safe zone". Turning away, he muttered "Problem is now finding a out where we cou...uh oh". Hearing a loud trampling, Val ducked behind a tree; signiling Midnight to do the same. Watching as a stampede of more mutated animals rush by, Val sighed "Well, thats just great. Ponies, Zebras, Mutants..probably are dragons, griffions, and reality alterting beast".

"Well, most likely to make the entire place look really pretentious, and popular looking" Val admitted to Crescent with a weak smile, as he commented "Or maybe it was just a means to make it look really imporant for ponies who are extremtly studious, I dunno". Hearing his plan on how to get past the guards, Val nodded in agreement as he commented "Sounds like a good plan, all we need to do now is see if we can pull it off". Trotting towards the lirbary, Val hid behind a large building as he pointed towards it. "Well, you distract those two over there, and I'll soar in through the open window there. Hopefully if things go well, we wont have to worry about getting caught".

"Something that would win a young filly's heart? Im afaird your going to have to be a bit more specific" Val smiled weakly to the little guy as he put a hoof to his chin. "Hmmm, but...I think i might have heard of something like that. It's based off an old folklore I head once". Blinking, he turned to the other pegasus as he smiled "Ahh, I guess adventure is avalible. Im just trying to figure out what is it". (Next post ill explain the lore, and sry for late response. I just beat Mass effect 3 and by god, I can see why everyone hated the ending. Even though my Shephard survived, Im still disapointed)

Val blinked as he looked around eagerly, hearing the voice of one asking if he was a questor. Not seeing the speaker, Val looked down and found himself staring at a young foal. Smiling lightly, he thought to himself "Intersted in adventuring at a young age? Heh, kinda reminds me of me". Nodding in response, he answered "Yup, Im an adventurer, and yes I have traveled to many differnet places. From Stalliongrad, to the Badlands, to Ushanti, and all over. Why do you ask"? Suddenly, another pegasus who was slightly taller then Val, and perhaps abit older appraoched; claiming he wanted to join. "Ahh, hello there. I dont know what the adventure is, or if there is one but I always welcome company".

Valoren blinked as he wondered to himslef how he could do this. Letting out an oof as somepony bumped past him, he turned back in time to watch him disapper just as fast. He had been waiting, and waiting and still nothing. How was he gonna keep going on like this??!! If he didnt do something, not only would he go hugnry; but he'd go totally bonkers. Horrifying images of when Discord had taken over, and what he had done to that one pony; with the twirly cap on her head, and her eyes going totalty nuts. "I'll probably end up like that unless..WAIT, I got it" he grinned, an idea rushing to his idea. Rushing to the center of town, which was the most popular spot; he looked at the giant stand that was filled with notices. He'd just put something up right here!! Quickly writing something on a board he had, he attached it to the stand as he then stood next to it. SEEKING ADVENTURE, WILL ASSIST ANY AND ALL" read the sign as Val looked around, hoping somepony would come soon.
