  1. Mostly, this falls into the songs that make me get all sentimental and weepy. My favorite songs speak to me, but they're generally rowdy and the reason the speak to me if you know me is pretty transparent. These are a handful that the people who know me are surprised that I adore. For some reason it's easy to wrap their heads around the fact that I love Neutral Milk Hotel as much as I love Iron Maiden, but the softer stuff that's more mainstream leaves them confused.

Makes me cry. Reminds me of the early days of relationship, when my husband had to overcome a lot of his introvert tendencies and college behaviors to make our relationship work.

    Plus it's gorgeous.

ANYTHING off this album. The whole journey, but especially the title section and the line "I can not get through September without a battle"

And then there's this whole genre of 80s/early 90s underground music that is wistful and longing (Day Ditty by Shudder to Think, Blue Thunder by Galaxie 500), but particularly these 2.

(this also crosses over into one of my favorite songs)

And basically anything that came on the radio in 1985/1986. So, back then we did not have a TV, we were very poor (to the point that at one point we lived in the YWCA), but we did have a radio. And one day, from that room on the 6th floor of the Y, my brother and I watched a furniture store burn down several blocks away...and every song that played on the radio that day while we were watching it is burned into my head.

    Aha-Take On Me

    Joe Jackson-Stepping Out

    Tears for Fears-Head Over Heels

Etc. I can't always name the exact tracklisting, but when I hear them out of context I have flashbacks.

Sorry about the double post XD Didn't want to make one reeeaally long post XD

Starting from the bottom this time O_o Aha-Take On Me, Spectacular song with an equally amazing video. Tears for Fears! Pretty much everyone of their songs are awesome XD One of my faveorite bands. To be honest im pretty jealous, I would have loved to have grew up in the 80's the culture, the music, the fashion just everything was so amazing.

I had never heard those two songs in the spoiler but I can see why you like them, they were both really something. I might need to look up some more of their songs XD

I can say I enjoyed all of those songs you posted and I can see why they all meant something to you. Thanks for sharing XD

  2. I have more of an affinity for the feel of a song than the actual lyrics. I have my cheerup songs, like this one:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hYA9JZM5FM

The lyrics are pretty good. But this song just cheers me up! :3

Then I have that one song that's been my sole favourite since I first heard it! It's been my favourite song for so long, it helped me find my own style. I love it.

The lyrics don't really have such a deep meaning, but you know. >3<

Both really awesome songs! Songs that people use to cheer themselves up are always great. It usually means they have a pretty deep connection with it XD

The lyrics dont need to be deep but even the simplest lyrics can have a very suprising story behind them XD

  3. I am aware, but Changelings are in a bit of a weird situation right now, and again, I doubt the REA would have mobilized in that very very tiny encounter. Perhaps it could have been a routine exercise? I'm sorry; but it is just a bit hard to create a military character that fits with the theme of the show, so I'm just being extra careful.

Well I changed it to a routine exercise to hopefully fix it. Thanks again XD

  4. Honestly I'm still not 100% sold on this application. It is pretty good but, soldier characters are always a bit harder to pass due to the nature of the Equestrian setting. The entire Changeling debacle was not really a battle- more of an ambush- and did not last very long at all- not long enough for any REA mobilization, at least. It may be wise to change the conditions of his injury to a different time/setting?

The thing is that im not sure of any battles the REA might have been in. If theres any that are in the Lore to expand the effect of the REA. If I can find something like that I would most likely change it to that. But Im just not sure. It just needs to be something that could call for a dangerous and secret excursion...

  5. The story on how he got injured is still a bit confusing to me. Please remember that everything has to fit as if it were something from the show itself. The Cutie Mark story is good enough, I'd say, though more expansion is never a bad idea. As for the injury, we need as many details about it as possible. I'm just concerned that if you leave it vague and we approve the application, you may divulge what happened in its entirety later in RP and it may contradict the spirit of the Role-play. It is fine to leave a backstory a bit vague to leave room to expand on it, but details like this need to be entirely sorted out beforehand.

A sting from the tail of a manticore is fairly dangerous yes? Thats what I imagine happens. Though Im not sure how it would really affect him :)

  6. Hello and Good Morning! This is a pretty good Application, but I do have a few questions.

First and foremost, you do not have any information in your backstory explaining how your character earned his cutie mark! What does the campfire represent? When did he earn it? How? It is generally a good idea to devout a paragraph or two on how your character earned their cutie mark- in the world of Equestria, the Cutie Mark can be THE defining aspect of a character, and as such, the moment they discover their cutie mark can be of the utmost importance.

Second, I think you need to provide more details on what the accident was that got him discharged. Details like that cannot be left as vague, and you simply stated "certain circumstances"; what were these "certain circumstances"? What exactly happened?

If you could answer those questions, it'd be great. :)

So I added a cutie mark story albeit not a great one. But a nice story. As for the accident I have described It as best as I can without jepordizing credibility for the Mane RP XD Its not my best app and Im sure theres things I can still change. But for now its all im capeable of XD

  7. Name: Rebel Rouser. Son of an old famous rock star called Rabble Rouser. Most ponies call him Reb or Rou etc.

    Race: Earth Pony.

Coat colour: Navy blue Earth pony. A gruff darker patch of stubble around the mouth.

Mane colour: Red white and blue Mohawk mane. Red tail kept short and jagged.

Personality/Qualities: After leaving a vault and the ponies he left with he has changed quite a bit from what he once was. Rebel is calm and collected in most scenarios. He possesses little feeling when it comes to life and death. He understands how the world works and lives by the moral that "What a pony can do. A pony will do." He doesnt see ponies as either good or evil. He simply see's ponies who have never had to be anything otherwise. He is often distrusting. But prove your a capeable character and your in with a shot. Enjoys a stiff drink and a good smoke. Mare's are welcome and drugs are good. He tends not to hesitate on the trigger.

History: He left an old vault alongside six others. They were intended to be the elements of Harmony. He was, oddly enough. Generosity. Though things have changed. After their misson he took to the wastes to simply live life as a desparado. Surviving the only way he knew how. By the bullet. Lucky for him he's a darn good shot. On his journey he came across a large Raven. He found it odd at first but he soon befriended the odd creature. It didnt seem to flee in his presence. It was brave. Rayne has stuck with him since.

Bits and pieces/Equipment: A rucksack carrying his gambling equipment, various alchoholic beverages, guitar maintenance equipment and a pack of cigaraettes. He also keeps his family airloom an acoustic guitar with him. A comb alongside brand mane wax. He likes to collect odd bits when outside. He wears a leather sherrifs duster with armor plating on areas such as his knees. A worn black desparado cowboy hat complete with feather. A checked bandana to cover his mouth.

Weaponry (sorry for the seperate part)

Primary: "Solution" A heavy frame stainless steel 44. Magum with an ivory grip and speed loader. A special design etched onto the barrel. It says "Your the problem" with an arrow pointing down the barrel. His personal work. Runs like clockwork.

Secondary: "Hero Maker" A hunting rifle with an old flag from his familes heritage tied to the rifles stock. Family airloom. Up until now it was just a decoration on the wall. The flag is from the land of S'coltland.

Melee: "Two for Flinching" A katana complete with a refurbished polished blade and balacned grip. A special etching on the blade and colour scheme to the grip. Along side a matching scabbard. Obtained outside the vault.

  8. I've heard nothing but good things about firefly and I have yet to see it D= BUT I did watch serenity which I believe is a sequel? or prequel to firefly..

Sequel XD Serenity has to be one of the best movies I've ever seen. I really recommend watching the original series :D

  9. Its hard to pick a faveorite. But I would have to say Applejack XD

She's a hardworking farm pony living in a rural community with awesome family values. I share this lifestyle :D

She's the element of honesty. A trait I admire so much in anyone! Her mannerisims and accent coupled with her friendly personality and the afore mentioned traits make her my faveorite :)
