1. As the cloud style ship soared down from above and started to hover Allegro couldn't help but find herself somewhat taken aback by the rather strange design. What it lacked in practicality it most certainly made up for it with beauty and elegance. Though it was so frail for such a large object. A single cannon ball would tear through the soft cloud hide of the ship and leave it in two. Now her thoughts began to sway towards a more destructive scenario which involved her standing atop the crows nest belting out various damaging strikes with her violin and the soon to be charged cloud crystal. With each note struck she would envision a magical blade shooting out from her very aura, hurling towards the ship in the sky. Although the crew of said ship did not come for a fight. Or at least that's how it seemed.

Their rather comical captain was floating just above the Seventh Lament's deck wearing what appeared to be some form of cloud mask. An oddity if there ever was one. As he complimented her on the music she simply nodded whilst trying to make some form of sense of the situation. With a very puzzled look on her face she leaned over to share a brief word with the pony formerly atop the crows nest. "It's not just me. This is is strange is it not?" Allegro turned back before listening to the answer and addressed the other captain. "Wait. What is your business here? Help us gain safe passage? Look around! We need no..Body guards!"

With haste Allegro quickly spun away to face the crows nest pony once more. She quickly gave subtle unvoiced orders to retrieve the cloud crystal. As they made there way through the crowd to below deck Allegro continued on her quest of knowledge with this new ship. "I know it's not very courteous of me to have all these guns aimed at you. But surely you must understand my caution. I will state this now however. Said guns are currently a precaution. If you do not leave now. That might change." She outstretched one hoof to the side and it was quickly filled with a heavy object. A weapon of some sort. A nockgun to be more precise. A seven barreled heavy flintlock firearm given to her from a crew member standing just to her side. "I do thank you for the compliment though. Manners and such are a hard thing to come by out here. It would be a shame to find the world suddenly lacking one with such traits."

  2. (OOC: I just remembered that Red Stripe is a brand of beer...I thought I'd share that XD)

The Seventh Lament was slicing through the water like any well kept blade would cleave the limb from an enemy. An appropriate comparison given the ships rather fine slender appearance. Her captain stood triumphantly at the base of the vessels bowsprit looking out over the fast encroaching sea. The day had started off quietly enough, although Allegro was starting to hunger for action. The burst of energy from the chase. The thrill of the kill. Feelings that were starting to seem like a fading memory. Though she and her crew were most certainly not out of practice. She took great care in keeping them in prime shape ready for a fight at any time. Swords, guns, bombs, they could use the lot. In fact she even designated ponies assigned classes. Some of her crew had shown abilities she would consider to be on par with her own and this was a valuable asset to her array of weapons. Allegro would treat her crew and boat in battle like an extension of her own body.

A quiet and almost fearful voice called out from behind her on deck. "You...Um...You wanted to see me Ma'am?" Allegro swiveled and made her way down to greet him face to face. She gracefully placed a reassuring hoof on his shoulder to calm the somewhat shaky elderly stallion. "Don't be scared master enchanter. I called you out here to take this." Allegro revealed a small blue crystal that seemed to have clouds moving within it. "It's the last of our weather crystals and I want you to charge it below deck so it's ready for use. The water crystal should be primed and ready from last time?" The master enchanter fumbled around his clothing looking for the water crystal and as he found it he juggled it from hoof to hoof like a bar of soap escaping from ones grip. The crystal flew out up and into Allegro's grasp as she snatched it out of the air. "Good, good. Well done. Now go on before you drop that one eh?"

Allegro wasn't sure that her attempted humor had met him as he darted off with speed to where he needed to be. She sighed and started to place the water crystal into her violin. With a faint crack the stone fit neatly into the base of the instrument and she began to play returning to her position at the bow. The crew was in full swing enjoying her music as they went about their duties with military precision when suddenly a voice rang out from above. The pony on the crows nest shouted down to inform Allegro of the situation. "CAPTAIN! A SQUAD OF FLYERS ARE DESCENDING QUICKLY." The water was now starting to slightly change form and direction beneath the ship as Allegro picked up her pace and her horn started to burst with magic. "Well. Do with it as you would any other day!" The crew turned and trained their rifles and pistols towards the sky. A third voice boomed from the deck. "READY. LEVEL. F.." Just like that the order was cancelled as the pony in the crows nest grabbed hold of a rope and swung down to snatch a wooden speaking horn from the pony giving the order.

"But Miss! They don't seem to be in attack formation!" Now slightly angered by the constant interruptions Allegro turned to take charge of the situation. "What is going on. Who are they..." She plucked out a spy glass and trained it on the group of Pegasi. "Hmm. Keep your weapons trained on them. If they try anything appropriate actions is to be taken."

  3. I think the cutie mark story still needed some clarification. I understand what you are trying to put across, but it's not very clear about how or why he got his mark. You might consider changing the story to focus more on his growing passion for brewing, rather than him tasting ale for the first time and saying "I can do better than this!" How would he know what makes a good drink after tasting it once, you know? This might occur when he's a little bit older, though. He might dabble in making cider, and slowly coming to realize his special talent is in brewing beverages. It doesn't just have to be ale -- a truly skilled brewmaster works in all aspects of fermented beverages. You could even "ponify" them to give real flavor and context to the type of character this is.

    Hope this helps!

Ah Borderlands 2 has struck at a bad time :L Well here goes! I'm going to start from the end of that for a certain reason. "Ponify" I must admit that this character is actually just myself ponified. My current part time job is working in a brewery that specializes in craft beer. Hence a lot of the information about Pale Ale. It's something that, having only recently discovered, I've found myself being quite passionate about it. This is why I have choose to stick to ale's and such. I know enough about them to hopefully make it work!

I do agree with you about the cutie mark story though. I will work on very soon! Thanks for the help. It's much appreciated.

  4. So I just played the public demo for RE:6 on my Xbox. I really don't want to say I hated it, but I strongly disliked it. It seems the Resident Evil games are actually going the way of the movies. Just pointless action with some possible jumpy scares.

I'd say that the things I disliked most were the new cover system, the new item and menu layout, zombies with guns, dive rolls, quick shots and instant item pick up. The list goes on. I remember playing RE:3 and the other old games and just being blown away by them. Four was good, five was okay. Seriously though, Chris boxed a boulder in five, what's up with that?!

I guess what I'm asking is what are your opinions on the matter Canterlot? Are you all for the new direction the series has took or do you long for the old classic style to return?

  5. It's an odd moment because It hasn't happened yet. After taking up guitar I've not been entirely confident with my skills but today I set my mind to learning Holiday in Cambodia by the Dead Kennedy's and I actually feel like I'm going to do it! XD It's awesome!

  6. Ew gross... that sounds awfully XboxLive dependent...

To be honest something that Halo has always done well is Co-Op. It will most likely be possible to use both split-screen and Live for this mode. In fact I'm sure it is split-screen capable. As for the weekly installments...so far they are listed as free and I'm sure they intend to stay that way. How you download these missions though, I don't know that :)

  7. At first I was really torn about Halo 4. Bungie was the company I grew up with and now 343 is taking over. But what I've seen look's spectacular! All round amazing! Everything I thought that seemed off was quickly dismissed by the VidDocs they released! Definitely getting it XD

I remember back when they said Halo Reach was the 'last Halo game' in one of the trailers....

I'll probably get it, if they kept mechanics like firefight and forge. Those are really all I play the game for.

I think they meant more along the lines that it was Bungie's last Halo game XD As for Forge I know they have improved that by adding object snap and dynamic shadows amongst a lot of other features. I'm not sure about firefight though...It might have been replaced with the new Co-Op mode Spartans Ops which is said to be a weekly installment of new Co-Op based missions mixing firefight and story driven objectives XD

  8. Allegro crept out from her cabin behind the ships wheel which was currently operated by a blind stallion navigating only by feel. "This wind. I'd say it was in our favor. Would you not agree?" She spoke with a certain refined elegance that was something stretched sparsely far and wide across these waters. The helms-pony spoke back with great haste and admiration. "Yes Ma'am. Quite a strong wind at that might I add." Allegro smiled and eyed the open water that lay ahead of the Seventh Lament. "Stand aside. I feel that now is the opportune moment to practice our latest piece. TO YOUR STATIONS! Act 2! Part 3!" The old stallion behind the wheel moved to the side and saluted Allegro as the thrust her rapier in between two of the grips into the wooden post on which it stood. The sword fit neatly into a whole where it had previously been shot into before. The wheel stopped dead and the ship was now set for a straight line.

Almost at the same time as she impaled her vessel war drums and a triumphant chorus belted out from both below deck and on deck. The drums beat with such force that those operating the various ropes and performing chores on the ship joined together in a powerful orchestral like chant. As the crew continued to both work and sing Allegro made her way down to the deck and towards the bow of the ship. There she propped her front two hooves up on the wooden railings and gazed out with bewildered eyes out into the wild blue sea. "Yes. The wind is on our side." With little less than a moments notice she turned back and brought the crew to a sudden silence. "Yes! That's good. But you can do better. Now! Plot a course for a popular fishing spot. I feel like this ship could use a little decoration...And you could all use a little mead in you! Yes! Set sail and fly the colors! Move like you have a purpose!"

  9. Status: The legend continues. Not much is known about her, well not much except rumors and ghost stories about ponies and their ships being dragged down below. The only thing they heard beforehoof was the screech of violins and various string instruments, hidden away by the dark nights on which they struck.

Name: Allegro Concerto. Her crew simply refer to her in the formal terms of either captain or Ma'am.

    Sex: Female

    Age: Mare

Species: Unicorn. Her magic is limited to some very basic techniques. Minor levitation and slight use of telekinesis for hovering weapons and such. One spell she has spent a great deal of years perfecting and it still continues to drain her both physically and mentally with use. This spell is weather alteration, not drastic, but enough to be noticeable. Heavy rain and winds can be conjured up with time and a particular piece of violin music.

    Eye Color: A milky yellow.

Coat Color: A dark grey. It gets lighter as it reaches her hooves.

Mane/Tail/Markings Color & Style: Her mane is jet black by nature and styled in a flowing, lengthy pony tail. As is her tail, though her tail has a white streak running down through it.

General appearance: Allegro is naturally a sharp dresser. Whilst she does stick to the famed pirate clothing she tends to keep the entire ensemble spic & span. Her hat is much the same as any captain's hat although it sports a long blue Pegasus feather spouting from it. Her jacket is a fine shiny black shade with an underlying red tint to it. The inside of said jacket is blood red. The shirt wore beneath this is both frilly and an impeccably clean white. As for her physical appearance Allegro is tall and rather slender, but in all the right places. Naturally extremely pretty and takes very good care of herself and her appearance.

Cutiemark: A sword crossing with a violin bow.

Ship description: The Seventh Lament (subject to change). The ship is of a medium size. Not incredibly large and not insanely small. The ships sails are dark, almost as dark as her mane. The ship just like herself is very clean and proper. Especially for a pirates ship. The ship has been through various refurbishments and such with the money pulled in from piracy. The ships innards is decked with only the finest materials. The crew is much like any other bar a few exceptions. They are loyal to the core. Money would not sway them from their captain. In the face of death they would appear unflinching and proudly fall in her name. She has raised this crew to be proper and efficient. They are strangely classy pirates. They have been forced through an almost regimental training regime. Some of her crew have been made to learn instruments such as war drums and violins. The ship has an average speed without wind but excels greatly with the wind in her sails. Cannons are numerous and of moderate damage. The ship can hold some treasure but not great amounts.

Weapons/Fighting style: Allegro is an extremely competent swordsmare. Her rapier is made of the finest steel and is used as if a professional dueler was on the hilt. She's not to fond of flintlocks and such and would rather place her life in a blade. Her crew have been trained to work in classes. Some excel with rifles whilst the others swords. Before striking a ship, Allegro summons her crew to play ominous musical pieces as part of psychological warfare. When the music ends, the cannons start.

Lifelong dream as a pirate/whatever they are: Allegro has odd motivations. She sees the days of piracy being ran by unintelligent brutes motivated only by money as a fading memory. She intends to bring a touch of class to the seas whilst still remaining a lawless individual. She hopes to bring a new code into effect and someday even be the Pirate Queen.

History: Not much is known about her past. She led a normal life beforehoof as the daughter of an important pony in the empire. Due to this she was forced into a life of class and has the notion that she is better than everypony else thrust upon her. She didn't take kindly to this and left the family. Not without leaving an explosive goodbye though. It was during this time she mastered the violin and fencing. She started off small and looked for only the most like minded of crews.

Personality: Allegro treats her crew with the respect she demands for herself. Treat others as they treat you. She likes the thrill of the hunt and will not hesitate to take an innocent life if given a good reason. She is prone to insane fits of rage and drunken mishaps when she lets her guard down. For someone who displays a great deal of love for the life of class she tends to contradict herself with some actions such as drinking, smoking and killing. Allegro is a flirtatious deadly mare who hides behind a veil of sophisticated apparel and mannerisms.

Hope this is acceptable XD I know some things might not be! Also alcohol is permitted in the mane RP. Why not here? If you don't mind me asking XD

  10. The Filly Force Five members didn't make their way straight to the stage, instead they found a familiar comfort in surrounding themselves with those who were there to simply listen. Even the smallest bit of cult success was enough to make a pony start to think to much of themselves but that was something that they detested. Fame shouldn't be the measure of a pony's worth. Rabble, Vivre Vrai, JD, Plan B and Plaid Haze had already set their things up back stage ready to be shuffled out onto the stage for their the Manehattan part of their Equestria wide reunion tour. As they made their way in and out of the various crowds they took care to acknowledge any fans who happened upon them. Rabble and Vivre Vrai were deep in conversation as they attempted to set out who would be singing or playing lead.

The whole gig on their part was a bit of mess in it's current state. They hadn't put much thought into conjuring up a decent plan of attack for this show. Infact the only thing they had set in stone was their set-list. Given the whole reunion theme it seemed appropriate that they played some of their best songs from the early years and even flung in some from what their next album, So This Is Freedom? Plan B was keeping her eye out for any workshops our booths that caught her fancy, whilst Plaid Haze was scouting the Stallions. JD was busy trying to stay in the center of the pack far away from the hustle and bustle that surrounded them. Where to next was the question to bounced their lips to each others ears.

  11. (OOC: Sorry for such a small post given such a long absence. I wasn't quite sure where to go with her current situation)

Rabble continued to find herself worrying frantically about the future but she had to stay strong and she knew that. Now wasn't the time for a mental breakdown. There wasn't much she could do given her state but watch. She felt incredibly helpless and somewhat embarrassed by that fact. Every pony else seemed so helpful and it was as if they all suddenly had a new job to do whilst she lay there simply recuperating. A slight smile crept across her still pain stricken face. Rabble could see that every pony seemed to have made it out safely and those that remained we're seconds away from escaping themselves.

For such a traumatic and hectic experience, everything seemed to move so slow. She wasn't sure if that was just how such a thing would happen or that she was struggling to comprehend the sheer magnitude of what was happening around her with her new found head injuries. Even though it was all so doom and gloom she turned to a nearby pony and simply said: "...Remind me not to get anymore piercings eh." Her smile was still present and somewhat emphasized by her pained chuckle following her statement.
