My guess is that the media tag doesn't automatically assume the HTTP protocol is used.

Looks like brianblackberry's found the problem.

Don't have the slightest idea why it just decided not to work....

Despite ignoring the format for reporting bugs, I had a look.

It's just that particular video. Other videos tested work fine.

This could be a number of reasons, all to do with youtube/country permissions/uploader options.

No fault found.

I can't access the pictures in that thread, but I assumed that it wasn't so much a bug and more of me not being in the right group. I've come across countless dead links in my short stay here, though. I'll report them from now on.

bug: non-extension image posting

when trying to post images from other sites that link it on some different way (ponibooru, tumblr) it throws a "You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community."

Make sure your image has the correct image extension. (.jpg .pnf .gif etc)

This is for security reasons.

Okay, I cleared the cache and tried again No luck.

Cleared cookies and tried again. No luck.

Opened Internet Explorer and tried it from there, no luck.

Opened Mozilla (6.0.1), which is my regular browser, and cleared "Site Preferences" and tried again. No luck. It all leads to the same error message above: "[#10171] You do not have permission to view this attachment. "

I even turned off adblocking. No Luck.

I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate (can't see which specific version I'm using)

Ok, now I you've supplied the link to the post I can see that It looks like you're trying to access media content in the Role Play area.

I'm afraid you don't appear to have an approved RP character which would bring you into the RP group, allowing you to view content like media in the RP areas, which although posts are viewable, it's generally not set up for the general public / non Roleplayers.

Maybe I wasn't very clear about the copy/paste problem. I just attempted to use copy/paste function with my mouse in the text of THIS post, and it doesn't work. You can copy/paste text FROM OUTSIDE a post to any post with no problem at all. Sometimes I liked having the ability to copy/paste text previously written in a current post within that SAME post. Not a biggie, I can work around it by using my WP program, but it is an annoyance.

I'm still not able to replicate the problem.

I'm able to highlight blocks of text in my (and other's) posts, right click, copy and then paste in other areas of the same edit box with no trouble.

I assume you've already investigated all the variables on your end. Browsers/Cache etc.

There were a few links like this on the old board as well, so it's not necessarily something to do with the update. Althought the west, central, east maps all worked on the old board.

The board itself doesn't control the functionality of the app on your phone.

WAY too many variables with phone models etc for us to troubleshoot.

However, checking my phone (Samsung I9000 running 2.3.3-gingerbread), both my Inbox and Sent messages seem to be working perfectly at present.

Copy/paste & cut/paste seems fine here.

Yes, only 5 images & videos at a time.

2 options. Stop being spammy or make another post. :grin:

One more thing. Is there an automatic 'time out' mechanism for this new MB?

Noticed that this thing's been 'logging me out' from time to time as I post or surf here. Is that a quirk that can be fixed or a problem we're all just going to have to 'live with'?

Will need a little more info to go on.

I'm pretty sure you'd need to be idle for quite a fair while for it to log you out.

Issue: Unable to browse forums on Tapatalk Ap.

I'm using a free Tapatalk ap on my android. The ap lets me get into unread posts, (thats how I got to this post) but I can't open the individual forum folders. When I click the folders, nothing happens.

Been some updates to tapatalk.

Open tapatalk and go to your favorites.

Remove Canterlot and re-add the same as before.

This will fix the problem and you'll have a nicer icon for the widget.

We're aware of [break] tags in posts and broken internal links (posts with links to other posts) and are working on it.

Gallery Aspect Ratio Bug: No fault found? - Link provided; image seems fine. The image squishes slight when browser size is reduced past the image size. You can right click the image and select the next smallest size to view without distorting.

Hi! I hope I don't sound too impatient in this post, but I'd like to know how often the admins check the accepted applications board. I had my character's bio accepted, but it still has not been moved to any of the folders, n'or have I been added to the Roleplayers group. I've been waiting a few days! Does anypony have an answer for me?

We check them as often as we can but you need to consider 2 things.

a. You're not paying for any kind of service.

b. We have lives out side of the board.

So please don't expect tight deadlines or a 24-hr turn around to every single action or request.

Would have been better if you'd sent a private message to an admin or moderator rather than publicly complaining.

I didn't feel a thing.
