1. Bo listened to Five-Star go on about the many possibilities of hoof20, smiling wider as the options grew. "That all sounds pretty cool." he agreed with the minotaur. "I'm kind of privy to the thought of more Renaissance themes, so I'd probably end up going with something along the lines of that..." he explained, though wasn't sure if Five-Star even really cared about what he preferred. Upon the talk of wargames, Bo wasn't really sure what to say. He was the kind of pony that would protest against war, but because this was a game, he figured it couldn't hurt to inquire about it... "What is Warhoof Fourty-Kay?"

  2. Bo was definitely surprised that the whole dice-type-system was so easy to understand. "So, theoretically, if they made a thousand-sided-die, it would be a dee-one-thousand?" he asked, just for the sake of conversation. He followed the minotaur as they moved to a shelf with some books on it. He only briefly glanced at the titles of the books, rather choosing to pay attention to Five-Star. Upon the lifting of the hoof20 manual, he smiled. Though, when Five-Star recommended some book about muffins, Bohemian had to raise a brow. "I think I'll stick with hoof-twenty." he said, glancing at the minifigs. It was still a new experience, looking at all of this stuff, but it was a good one, too. "What else will I need?" he asked.

  3. Bo was not expecting a minotaur to greet him, and was caught off-guard by the looming (even if he looked thinner than most minotaurs) figure. "Uhh, hi." he said a bit awkwardly. There were paint flecks in his hair and on his fur and hooves, but he shook Five-Star's hand nonetheless. "Well, I'm new to the whole, uhh..." Bo told Five-Star, gesturing to the various RPGs and what-not surrounding them. "I was wondering if there's anything to explain the basics? Like, what are Dee-Twenties?" Bo ran a hoof through his hair at that.

  4. A grey unicorn stepped through the doors of the shop, a bit reluctant as he looked about. It wasn't a usual thing of Bohemian Blank to come to places like this, but since his recent friend had gotten him to play a short, short session of Ponies and Parasprites, he decided he'd check these 'tabletop' games out. Growing up only the nerds of the school would ever play those sorts of games, and he'd always that it was a bit weird and more than a tad confusing. But, part of growing up is realizing your mistakes, and Bo decided that labeling these sorts of games as weird was definitely one.

"Uh, hello?" he asked, not really seeing anypony yet. "Anypony here?" Bo called out for good measure. He shifted the beanie on his head to help get the ebon hair out of his eyes.

  5. Bo grinned. He always loved it when somepony asked about his art! "Well, I like to paint and most of two-dimensional art mediums, but I'm not really good with sculpturing or stuff like that." said he. Bo rubbed at his bowling ball, rather absent minded. "How about you, Dude, do you do anything 'sides bowl?"

  6. Bo chuckled quietly. It had been a while since he'd ever took time to relax for a second and talk to somepony, and he was enjoying himself quite a bit. But, Bo's odd schedules aside, he decided to let himself go for the day. After all, all work (even if that primarily consists of painting) and no play makes Bohemian Blank a dull colt!

"Well, actually, I'm from Manehatten. I'm in town for an art exhibition I'm hoping to get featured in."

  7. Bohemian Blank stood up, walking softly over to the notecard. With a little levitation he wrote down his name in simple, slightly curling script that was clear to read. He quickly turned to look Split Pins the eye as he spoke to him, feeling it was most appropriate to do so. He chuckled softly, nodding at Pins, or, The Dude, as he preferred.

"Okay, Dude, if you say so." he walked back over to Split Pins and, with scorecard in the air next to him, took his seat once more. He set his scorecard down on the table nearby, face up, and relaxed a bit. "So, Dude, do you live around here?" he decided to ask, not really liking the silence much.

  8. Bohemian grinned wide, enjoying the way the other stallion talked. "No, I just stopped by to try out bowling again. I was in town for a family reunion thing, but that's not for another few hours." said the grey stallion. Bo adjusted his glasses and took the seat beside the earth pony. "Mind if I bowl with you?" he asked bluntly, setting his heavy ball down next to him.

  9. Bohemian Blank popped rather gingerly through the doors of the bowling alley, not really sure why it was he had the sudden urge to try out bowling. After all, he hadn't bowled in a long, long time! With a small pep in his step, he picked out the most colourful bowling shoes he could find, and then proceeded to pick out a ball. As with the shoes, he grabbed the most colourful one, which was heavier than he expected, almost dropped it as he first picked it up. He gave a sheepish grin to a nearby pony who had watched him in the act. "Hehe, it's 'kay, I've got it..." he said through his blush. With a small grunt, he lugged it towards the lanes.

He almost passed the stallion sitting by himself, had he not noticed the coffee-colour of the pony's coat. He stopped rather abruptly, almost falling over what-with the momentum of the heavy bowling ball he was carrying. "Hi," he said with a small smile. "I'm Bohemian Blank. Are you here by yourself?" Bo asked, not noticing any other ponies around him.

  10. Kelp nodded at Coax. "Plus, a grotto usually means water!" he said with a grin. "And guess what? I can breathe water." he joked, though if indeed a need for it came, it'd be there. "Well, you've got your second pair right here." Kelp Culler said, shifting onto one hoof to salute with the other. "Now, I'll follow you?" he offered, stepping into line behind the stallion.

With a bit of a greediness, he took the canteen before he took the lantern, and when he did, he held the lantern in his mouth, and the canteen slung at his side as he made his way along next to Coax now. "Ahnwurs!" he said enthusiastically, his words morphed by the lantern.

  11. Kelp nodded ad Coax's words, happy to hear he did plan on only taking one. "Alright, good, if you really can take care of it, then no problems from me." he said with a little voice inclination. The hippocamp brought himself over towards the bright lantern and the piece of parchment that coax held. "Well, yes and no." Kelp said with a bit of embarrassment, which he recovered from quickly. "I know for sure that it's in a secluded and well, hidden, grotto. I trust you know what a grotto is?" he asked before continuing.

"I just don't know exactly where this grotto is." was all he added, narrowing his eyes at the map. He gave a slight movement of his shoulders that could be considered a shrug. "Searching together would be much more efficient. Plus, who wouldn't want to travel with an upstanding stallion like yourself?" Kelp schmoozed with a light nudge of Coax. "But, yeah, be careful with the fire. Heat dries me out faster than just air-drying." he added mindfully.

  12. "Yep, it really hurts, having to drag my tail across all these logs and what-not," Kelp explained, lifting his lower half for emphasis. "It takes a lot of upper body strength, which is why most hippocamp are in such great shape." he added, turning to show off his muscles. "Okeanos, it's located between Hoofington and I believe the Gallopacous?" he stated in more-or-less a question. "Uh, yeah I'm a hippocamp..." Kelp raised an eyebrow at the unicorn, a little confused.

Kelp watched with a little amusement as the noblestallion got his composure back, chuckling a little. "No need for apologies, I realize I wasn't in full view. And nope, no earth pony here." he grinned big, flopping his tail a bit. He definitely should have started off with being a hippocamp, but he always forgets ponies aren't used to that sort of thing. "Nope! Not very many of my occupation down under the sea, considering most plants down there are a bit difficult to make look 'pretty' or even to take care of." he said with a slight smile. "Actually, while I wasn't expecting another on this island, I've met a few unicorns that had come to my classes." said Kelp Culler.

Kelp smiled once more at the stallion's nervous laugh. Hearing talk of the Scarlet Bloodblossom, his smiled wider and said, "As long as you can take care of it properly, and I can get some pollen samples, I have no problem with you acquiring one." He added emphasis to the last part, quite serious about not messing up an ecosystem. More than once he had seen ponies take plants from places, and soon that plant population died out completely.

    (( I love the name, hehe. ))

  13. With a solemn nod, Kelp went about shaking his mane a bit, letting the water soak in real good. "Canterlot, huh? I've never been that far inland. Can't make it, get's a little too tough." Kelp said without much thought. "And a frigate? I heard those're pretty cool," he took a break to think before adding, "Nope, didn't see it. I came up around the western end of the beach." Kelp thought about what the stallion had said, and nodded. "There aren't any, as far as I know! I live just a little ways away from Okeanos." Kelp shifted uncomfortably, realizing he was on top of a rather thick branch. With careful steps, he moved forwards and fully into view, revealing his hippocamp backside.

"Yeah, I can't say I do the same!" he said with a light chuckle, himself having no sort of supplies what-so-ever, aside from a small vial. "Yep! I'm a horticulturalist, or at least that's what I prefer to be called. Most call me a gardener or landscaper." he said with a slight grimace. He felt that 'gardener' was too mundane for a hippocamp of his standard. "Oh? Does it bloom on the full moon, on these black sands? Well, brown-dirt-past-black-sands?" he said with a smile, wondering if they were after the same thing. Kelp didn't move, or so much as flinch.

  14. Kelp smiled quite friendly-like, and shifted awkwardly onto one hoof, shaking the the unicorn's hoof. "Every hobby has some sort of danger." Kelp agreed, nodding rather sagely. "Coax? What an interesting name! I'm sure it fits one so interesting as yourself, though." he added, grinning. "So you got here by boat? I live not too far, so it wasn't too much trouble getting to the island." Kelp said rather off-hoofedly.

Seeing the offer of water, Kelp nodded his head rather fiercely, but took it gently from the unicorn's hoof. "Yes, please!" he said, pouring a small bit of the water onto his coat. Making sure the was enough left for Coax, he gave it back with a sigh of relief. "That really hit the spot." he said, looking a bit odd.

On the mention of his business, Kelp smiled big and said, "I'm here for horticultural research!" As if that explained anything.

  15. Kelp struggled further through the jungle, but seeing that a lot of the growth was either chopped out of the way or burned, he moved a bit easier. And, judging by the speed in which the lantern had moved, this was definitely a land pony, or maybe some other land-dwelling creature. He had heard stories of dragons and griffons, but had only ever seen the latter.

Then, with a sigh of thanks, he responded to the shout that returned, "Woah, woah! Who said anything about quarrel?" Kelp was definitely not up to a fight on land, considering how slow he moved. He didn't slow his pace towards the light, despite the warning, and within a good couple of minutes he was halfway into the clearing, his lower half hidden still. From the front, it looked as if he were sitting down.

"My name's Kelp Culler." he said with a smile, the light of the lantern feeling good, but also drying him faster. "Put down the knife, please." he asked, looking a bit concerned at the pony. "Where're your friends?" he said suddenly, looking around.

  16. Pushing further through the growth, Kelp Culler lifted his lower half once more to climb a log. The process of walking on land was quite arduous, and navigating a jungle without any source of light save for the scarce moonlight, didn't make it any easier. And he could already feel his coat beginning to dry uncomfortably. This was going to be a long night.

Pushing through a particularly thick bit of vines with a grunt, Kelp stumbled forwards and onto his face. "Stupid vines!" he shouted quite loudly, going through the process of trying to get back up. With an irritated grumble he continued on wards, not stopping until he saw a light not too far ahead. "Hey! Is somepony out there?" he yelled to the light.

  17. (( Silly me! I forgot to make one! Oopsies... ))

Kelp Culler pulled himself along the bench, his lower have dragging against the sand and leaving a trail. He was fairly certain he was the only pony around who knew about the flower, she he did not expect very much trouble. Reaching the rougher dirt, he winced a bit. This was definitely his least favorite part about being on land. And a quick flip of his hair, he continued on into the jungle, wincing every time he slumped over a log or other rough object.

  18. Pumpkin, having not expected anypony to have noticed him, was a little startled by the sudden voice and conversation that had suddenly started. With a bit of a tremor, he replied, "O-oh, uhm, nothing. Just came to visit family." he said, trying his best smile. Which made him look like he was in pain. He wasn't very good at lying...

"Truth be told, Silverbolt, I'm a bit worried about seeing them. My family, I mean." he said, this time not lying. He was surprised by how easily and calmly it slipped from his tongue, to a complete stranger, too! "I'm Pumpkin Bright, by the way." he added last-minute, worried that he had been rude by not introducing himself before dumping his problems on a stranger.

  19. The full moon was high in the sky as Kelp Culler broke the surface of the waves, quickly making his way towards shore without much effort. Tonight was special: On the black sands of the Gallopocous Islands, during a full moon in spring, a blood moon would occur, and the most brilliant of dormant flowers would bloom for a short time before going back to sleep, waiting for the next blood moon. This is what Culler was here for. He was determined to pick that flower and study it further! Finally reaching the shore, he let his hooves rest in the damp black sand, relishing the tide that still licked his underside with a moisturizing caress. Kelp Culler had either find the flower fast, or find someplace he can rehydrate before his coat completely dries. But where to start?

  20. Making Kelp Culler into a CO character will be excellent. However, you should still have filled-in History and Summary sections so your fellow RPers know what to expect from your OC. As for edits, RP developments are best posted as replies to this thread instead of being edited into the app itself.

Anywho, be sure to mark this thread as [Ready] when you are ready to have it stamped. Since this will be for Crossovers, approval should hardly take any time at all. icon_e_wink.gif
