Yeah, I've actually dabbled around in some Flash assets from the show and the games in CS3 (that's what I have ), there are a lot of symbols! If you look at Pinkie's mane, it looks like every single line is its own symbol... I always been thinking to do some animation things with MLP... except I don't really know how to use Flash very well...

That could work. And we can also think about how the Mane Six and other characters will react when she first comes to Ponyville. Will Rainbow Dash go after her like she wanted to at the end of Trixie's episode? How will Snails and Snips react? They have a lot of opportunity here for Trixie.

After rewatching the two part pilot episode and Luna Eclipsed (I was in a Luna mood), I happened upon an idea.

Now we know it's pretty much been confirmed that we'll be seeing more of Luna (who wouldn't want to?), but I've been wondering how she will appear. And I came up with this: What if Luna is re-corrupted into Nightmare Moon? Now I know that she said in Luna Eclipsed that she couldn't be happier being normal again, but what if her resentment pops up again? Ponies still sleep through the night, after all. And if that is not possible, what if a new and/or returning villian tries to get Luna on his or her side? Like try getting Luna to feel her old feelings again to turn her against Celestia and the mane 6? Just some thoughts I had.

A lot of shows in prime time have gone to a 2- 1/2 seasons format. (a block of new episodes with a large gap in the middle filled with a second act to end the season) Maybe they are doing this. It would be a no lose plan. Make a full season if the fan base stays rabid. Scale production values et. all back if things start to drop off. Spread the cost out over the season instead of banking it all up front.

It also allows them to respond faster to fan elements. See how we react to elements in the first half of the season and then put in more of what worked, dump what didn't in the 2nd half. Add in cameos of the BG ponies that everypony likes. Ability to make things more "topical."

Maybe this is a good plan and not the end of days.

Well said. This method involves much less risk. After all, the expectations for season 3 are pretty high, they're not going to want to put all their eggs in one basket, so to speak.

That new character instantly looks more intimidating than Discord or Chrysalis. While Discord looks like a prankster and Chrysalis looks kinda like a scary-ish bug, this guy has an air that he means business. Hope he turns out good, assuming they put him in!

A technique they use to create that 3D-looking effect is called parallax panning or something like that. It moves two layers in opposite directions at different rates as well as using depth-of-field to create the illusion of 3D.

Now, assuming that Celestia is giving the friendship test to see if Twilight has in fact been doing her job (I think Celestia wouldn't need to even have her take a test, in my opinion), then how do you think Celestia will react if Twilight fails?

Well she did mention levitation in the song so maybe it was a magic test?

I think she was saying how easy it was for her to do levitation. You saw her repeated teleports in the song, her magic talent is indisputable. Her mind is also very sharp, as shown by that impressive recital of that obscure square root. Honestly, I'm not sure what test she could fail...
