  1. About the only non-MLP current-ish animated shows I watch/buy DVDs when they come out for are Metalocalypse, Archer, Squidbillies, and Aqua Teen Whatever The Heck They are Calling It These Days (which I have been watching since the very day it aired).

The only ones I have been attached enough to actually purchase or or wax nostalgic on a level where I still think they're great as an adult: are Tale Spin, Gummi Bears, Animaniacs, SGC2C, Tiny Toon Adventures, Gumby (the original series). The first few seasons of Ducktales fall into here as well, but I haven't purchased them yet.

Things I wax nostalgic about in a deep and true manner and will buy if they're $2, but are hard for me to muster then enthusiasm as an adult that I did as a child for them: He-Man, She-Ra, the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon, Space Ghost (the original series), Thundercats, Jem, Gumby (the 1988 series)

Cartoons that I want to love but they make me unbearably sad because they're do awful compared to what they could have been. The Animated Fraggle Rock, Little Muppet Monsters, Spaceballs the Animated Series.

I like the idea of Problem Solverz, but I can't see how it'd be turned into a narrative so I haven't watched it yet as it might destroy my mighty love for the Paper Rad collective. I probably should watch Adventuretime. Seems about up my alley. And I do rather like the Marvel-Based superhero shows.

  2. That's because it's pretty old 1989 (Blood Reign: Curse of the Yoma) incredible amount of blood and gore. I remember my first movie I watched, it was Interview with a Vampire. I was 3 years old. My first question was, why is the sunlight burning them? I was 3 years old... give me a break, I didn't know what a vampire was.

Of course I forgot I had even seen the movie until I bought it when I was 18. And then when that one scene with claudia burning in the sunlight I was like... OH MY GAAAAAWD I'VE SEEN THIS BEFORE!

In fact you could say that it was because I distinctly remember not being able to understand the concept of sunlight setting people on fire, that I remembered it so vaguely.

    Huh ok
  3. Hmmm Worst Pony? I guess I would have to say the Flim Flam Brothers. THey seem well liked but ugh something about them annoyed me XD -_- they were just so...tacky maybe and then they barge in and start serving crappy cider. Then again, I'm not sure if their cider with quality control is as bad as their cider without but still something was just ugh about those two XD.

For me The Flim Flam Brothers and the episode they appear in (Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6,000) are both ok. There are only two things that I liked about the episode. Those two things are Flim Flam Brothers Song and Applejack's I didn't learn anything friendship report everything was decent or ok not bad and didn't hate but not necessarily good either. That's just my opinion though i'll let everybody/ pony else think what they want.
  4. I wonder I wonder~.

The Octavia and Rarity thing sounds neat though.^^; they seem to go well I guess since they're both all posh and sophisticated.

    Would be nice if Derpy can have a speaking role or two after all, I'll never forget "nnICe WorK rAINbow dASh!" in the old voice of course lol. Wouldn't want Derpy to be a really big character honestly, I think what's so appealing is the random cameos and very rare speaking parts with hilarity ensued. Oh well, at least Derpy isn't banned.^^;

Crystal Ponies? Hmmm curiouser and curiouser I wonder what they will look like. I'm guessing that they're extinct or maybe thought to be extinct, but live together. maybe they're running out of magic and decided to steal Cadence's haha just making up cheap ideas as I write this. Hopefully, this is the last time Cadence will need to be saved though. I agree, probably the 1st episode.^^ As for Twilight and Spike's song...hmm if it is the same episode as the Crystal Ponies one, then it's probably technically on a separate episode. You know, the first two episodes follow the same plot?

I wanna hear about the Cutie Mark Crusaders though XD wonder what they're going to be doing~. Also, since the beginning, I've wondered which of the Crusaders would be the first to get their mark. I mean, I doubt that they'll just get them in unison, but hmm you never know. They're best friends and maybe a power of friendship is simultaneous appearance of Cutie marks like what happened to The Elements of Harmony Ponies XD.

Good theories and ideas I hope that you're right about most of these things.
  5. I still watch DBZ, but I read most of the others. I was sooo mad when they cut Yu Yu Hakusho out of Shonen Jump... I loved that manga. I have a giant Bakugan blanket that I sleep with. xD It's super fuzzy. *dork* :P

Never watched Sailor Moon. I never liked...'girly' stuff, for lack of a better word. Too predictable, too many Mary Sues.

Minus the whole Mary Sue thing though most people thought that My Little Pony before Friendship is Magic was girly, stupid and boring.
  6. That's what Ciraxis highly approves.

Not bad...but watch Beast Wars and Beast Machines (in THAT order) to see a great Transformers series (with greatest Megatron ever! - Yesss...).

Also I liked Armada but only from

    Starscream Heel Face Turn

onwards. It had that unique feel of mystery and unknown danger.....and it's better to ignore Energon and Cybertron....for you own good.

Actually i've seen all those Transformers shows in the past except for Beast Machines never heard of it.

  7. My friends and I were talking about all the old shows and pulling up clips. They truly were ridiculous, some of them!

Digimon, Pokemon, Shaman King, YuGiOh, Monster Rancher, Medabots, Beyblade, Flint the Time Detective, Fighting Foodons, Bobobo, Ultimate Muscle...and I know these aren't anime but remember Reboot and Cubix: Robots for Everyone? God, so incredibly ridiculous! xD

Oh man how did I forget about Ultimate Muscle I used to really really like that show especially since I love both wrestling and comedy that makes me LOL which Ultimate Muscle did. P.S. remember Galactic Wrestling Featuring Ultimate Muscle that game was awesome. :kissy::)
  8. I'll bite. For contemporary animated series, I watch Adventure Time and Regular Show, but I don't follow either with resolve.

I've heard that Disney's Gravity Falls is pretty good, so maybe I'll give that a shot.

    Like I said

Yeah like I said above I like Adventure Time and Regular Show as well as all the other shows above so yeah I think those shows and My Little Pony Friendship is Magic are very good plus i've only seen a few episodes of Gravity Falls that does look pretty good but I don't really have an opinion yet.
  9. Well, the first animes I watched were probably the Yugioh and Pokemon snippits I caught on television when I was younger. My little brother was far too small to be interested in anything with a continuous storyline, and whined whenever I played them (usually until I changed it to something like spongebob in annoyance). :/

The first anime I was passionate enough about to go the extra mile and watch online was Avatar: The Last Airbender, and even now I'll watch it when I catch it on; it's a terrific show!

Actually 2 days ago I found out that Avatar The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra aren't anime because they weren't made in Japan.
  10. Ooohhh, forgot about DBZ. I watched that all the time too...and Yu-Gi-Oh and Beyblade as well... I forget lots of things like that, because I didn't think of them as anime until later.

    Freaking loved DBZ though. :P

I still watch Beyblade, DBZ, DBGT, Yu Yu Hakusho and Sailor Moon plus I also like Naruto, Naruto Shippuden and Bakugan is awesome too. p.s. I don't like Yu-gi-oh! or Pokemon anymore.
  11. Ahahaha, I like that. Make Trixie the reoccurring Team Rocket type character that shows up at least once a season. Blast those mane six! xD

Good idea especially since Pokemon and Rugrats were the first shows I became obsessed with before Dragon Ball Z, Naruto Shippuden and now My Little Pony Friendship is Magic.
  12. Considering my friends are who became obsessive about the show before I did, I think I'm safe. There's a few in my group that think the whole concept is kind of silly, but that's about it. One of my friends like to comment on the pony outfits seen at conventions by saying stuff like, "If your gonna cosplay a horse, you need to make the hooves and the horse face and.."

    It's kind of funny.
