  1. Nebula would smile happily, "D-D-Do y-you n-n-need a-anything, m-ma'am?" She seemed really into appeasing the customer.
  2. Nebula would quicky take note of the new customer and quickly trot over to her with some rather serious energy. With various styling equipment draped on her, she gave the mare a wave. "H-H-Hello! W-W-Welcome to S-S-Shockblast S-Salon. M-M-My name i-is N-Nebula R-Rose. P-P-Please have a s-s-seat, M-Mister C-C-Calypso i-is b-busy at the m-moment b-b-but w-will be r-right with y-you!"
  3. Nebula diligently follows behind Calypso, waiting patiently for his bosses next orders. However, she'd play a game of avoiding landing her hooves on the cracks between the tiled floor.
  4. "M-Mister C-C-Calypso, i-i-is there a-anything I-I could do n-n-now?" Nebula squeaked, looking up at the stallion with her red eyes, which were puppydog eyes. Exactly what was with this littile filly? "I-I-I have e-e-everything done t-that y-y-you n-needed m-m-me to!"
  5. Turning around, Nebula would quickly fix her winded mane and look up at the new stallion. Trembling slightly, she'd introduce herself to him, "H-H-Hello s-sir, w-w-welcome to S-Shockblast S-S-Salon. M-My name's N-Nebula R-R-Rose. P-P-Please have a-a-a s-seat, a-and M-Mister C-C-Calypso w-will be with y-y-you in a s-second...."
  6. (Quite so.) After a brief few minutes of explanation, and slinging more than just Calypso's name, Nebula came barreling into the salon. However, being the filly that she is, she tumbled into a somersault and landed with a bop against Calypso. "I-I-I g-g-got it!" She held up not just the dye, but a little scroll to expand the fashion ponies repetoire of hair-changing spells.
  7. Nebula would nod, slinging the saddlebag over her back and saluted, making a mad dash out the door. Only for the filly to smash, muzzle first, into the wall next to the door. Rubbing her muzzle, Nebula gave her boss a sheepish grin and darted off into the street. Weaving through the crowds, she soon came across what she hoped was where Close Shave resided. Trotting into the shop, she gave a rather timid squeak and asked softly, "U-um, hello? M-Mister C-C-Calypso needs a d-dye...." "M-Mister C-Close S-Shave?" She'd follow up, looking around for the pony.
  8. Nebula would panic, quickly checking over the inventory herself and look up at each spot. "W-W-What's m-missing, M-Mister C-C-Calypso?" Checking it over and over, she remembered each and every supply, down to every single pair of scissors. She even double-checked each time, but what did she miss!?
  9. Nebula looked up to the stallion, slightly unsure of his words but somehow feeling every so slightly better about this. Thankful he didn't ask anymore about her parents, she proceeded to pull her forelegs around Calypso and hug him. It wasn't too tight, but enough to show her appreciation. "T-T-Thank you, M-M-Mister C-Calypso." After a few seconds, the filly released him and quickly lifted a clipboard that was rather heavy for her to hold up, but she sat it down and held it up by her head. "I-I also f-finished i-iii... wh-whatever that w-w-word was."
  10. Nebula, sniffing and hiccuping, looked up at him with her eyes bloodshot already. "E-Everypony d-d-don't l-l-like me..." She gave a shudder but continued, "M-Mommy a-a-always g-goes out t-t-to f-fancy p-p-parties, a-a-and D-D-Daddy d-doesn't come h-h-home f-for m-m-months." She was shaking at mentioning her parents, but kept her trust in Calypso. "I-I-I d-don't k-know w-w-why b-big p-p-ponies a-are s-s-so mean. T-The g-guard p-p-ponies t-try t-t-to b-be ni..." She momentarily lost herself, but recomposed again. "Nice, b-but they a-a-always b-b-bring me h-home. M-Mommy j-just i-i-ignores me a-a-after t-talking to them." She looked back up at Calypso, "W-Why a-a-are you s-so n-n-nice t-to me, M-Mister C-C-Calypso?"
  11. Nebula's sobs slowly broke down into hiccups, allowing her employer to help clear her eyes from the tears. She looked up at the stallion, her eyes red and ears plastered against her skull. "I-I d-d-don't know, I-I just felt b-b-bad f-for s-something..." She continued lying in her ball, still shaking. She felt like she'd messed up now, and another wave of tears were threatening to surface. "I-I..." She lost her voice, and once again she began crying again, this time it wasn't exactly quiet. Her squeaky voice filled with confusion, "I-I-I w-wanna k-know!" But still, she couldn't.
  12. Nebula kept at it, counting boxes and supplies, and everything inbetween. Though, she couldn't help but stop after a half hour and took a seat, and kept herself seated right there. She was barely old enough to even know how to pronounce Equestria, or understand there was a bigger world than just Canterlot. But she couldn't help by just feel strange, the air around her. Just a little blankflank, left to wander the streets of Canterlot without supervision or any rules. Her parents didn't even care for her, and the guards paid her little mind unless she bumped into some aristocrats. Calypso was the first ever adult she'd ever met that didn't kick her out of a store or ignored her. Even then, she always felt that adults just lied through their teeth, just like her parents. She just couldn't understand Calypso, but she wanted to do something cool. Eventually, she just began to cry, like she always did every single day. Quietly, hoping Calypso didn't hear, she just cried her eyes out. Curling up into a ball, she lied there and vented her emotions.
  13. Nebula would set to work with the speed of a rabbit. Propping the dust pan, she immediately began using her hooves to operate the broom by standing on her hindlegs. Though a bit messy, she got the job done and got the hairs she missed from earlier. Dumping the clumps of hair into the trash, she immediately returned the two and disppeared into the back. (Alrighty, I'm gonna take a break here and call it a night. 2:20AM and I don't wanna sleep through Season 3)
  14. Nebula would let out the loudest squeal possible and leap from her seat and hug Calypso around his foreleg, just barely wrapping around it with her forelegs. "Y-Yes sir!" She'd immediately stand up, ready for her (hopefully) first day on the job in the meantime.
  15. Nebula's eyes would go absolutely wide, the filly nodding quickly and paused. She wobbled side-to-side before stabilizing herself from tipping over and faceplanting square into the floor again. "Y-Yes!" She'd keep herself from jumping around Calypso, counting he just made her look like a pretty pony. But if he could see it, she was fidgeting with absolute excitement. "I-I-I h-have l-lots of t-time, I-I-I could work on anything! S-Sweep stuff! G-Go run l-letters!" Her voice became even more squeaky, speaking so rapidly it eventually made her scrunch her face up and wobble again from forgetting to breathe in.
  16. Nebula would keep poking her hooves together, looking up with anticipation and excitement in her eyes. Biting her lip, she'd ask carefully, "C-C-Could I-I work f-f-for you, s-see i-i-if I g-g-get my c-cutie mark in 's-saloning'?" She'd try to put on her best puppy eyes possible, really hoping Calypso would take her on as an apprentice. "I-I-I could b-be a g-good worker..."
  17. (Due apologies for the delay.) Nebula would look in awe at the magic, and her face was absolutley full of glee. "I-I-I really like it!" Now, the white-coated filly felt absolutely smashing. Looking up at Calypso, she'd give him the largest grin she could muster. It wasn't everyday she could look like a pretty pony. However, she seemed a bit off. "U-Umm.. M-Mister C-C-Calypso?" She'd look up, tapping her forehooves together, her cheeks reddened slightly.
  18. Nebula would point to her mane, face still blushing from imaginging being the talk of her class and having colts look at her. "S-Streak my m-mane to f-fit my c-c-coat?" Ever so gently, though, she'd fidget in her seat. She really enjoyed being in here, considering her usual appearance had her kicked out of most stores. For that manner, she didn't even know what a salon even meant!
  19. Nebula would look at herself, and promptly let out the loudest squee she could ever hope for. "I-I-It's am-amazing, M-Mister C-C-Calypso!" She'd pause and scrunch up her face, the rose red mane needed something... "C-Can you give me something t-to match my c-c-coat?" However, after she finished, she realized the last thing he said and let out a squeak. Her face would've matched her mane at the reference of colts not keeping their eyes off of her.
  20. Nebula would squeak at the sight of her mane, after spending weeks being unclean it looked simply CLEAN! At the mention of how she wanted her mane, she bit her lip at the mention of her parents. Though, looking to be like a big pony, she smiled up at him and declared her design. "Make me look like a pretty pony, anything!" She'd add a dramatic point at Calypso, accidentally booping him in the nose. Blushing in embarassment, she'd put it down and mumble out an apology.
  21. The filly, Nebula Rose, would look up at the stylist with a gleaming curiosity and tilt her head. Thankful, though, for the stallion helping her up. "U-Umm.. s-s-sorry..." she mumbled out, feeling like she'd done something wrong. She'd gently push her hoof back and forth, and look down at the ground while he appraised her mane. Truth be told, she never found time to even bathe, considering she didn't exactly live in the more prestigious sections of Canterlot. "I-I-I'm N-Nebula R-R-Rose..." She squeaked out next, feeling the stallion pull apart a knot in her mane.
  22. A little Earth Pony filly with a snow white coat, no older enough to be a blank flank, and rather messy looking. Her mane was a absolute mess, looking as if she didn't even care for it when she got out of bed that morning. Dressed with a pair of solid white saddlebags, which jingled with the sounds of bits and all sorts of stuff. Trotting past the usual morning aristocracy, she paused and looked up at the sign. Looking apprehensive, she ever so carefully poked her muzzle inside and curiously examined the store. After a few seconds, she attempted to sneak into the store, though didn't count on tripping over her own forehooves and landing ungracefully on her face with a loud squeak.
  23. Hello, everypony! This series here is my very first work I've done that's gone on a scale beyond simple experiments and quick short stories. I've constructed an elaborate story designed to tinker into my creativity and forge a solid series. This series, generalized, heavily weaves through many genres, from Humans in Equestria to Action, Adventure to Romance, Tragedy to Comedy. I've built it as a way to vent all of my creativity into a single outlet, and burn through it with the fury of a supernova. Though, I'd like everypony to mind, it's vastly different compared to canon, as I've acclaimed it to a 'Alternate Universe' in a sense. Summary Following the wake of the royal marriage, the Princesses had extensively reformed their national government to better suit the dawning of a brand new era of peace, prosperity, and expansion of its borders, and thus came the Equestrian Empire. A golden age for all of the Celestian Ponies, the untouched lands across the seas to the west of Appleloosa, while strong relations between the Griffin Principality to the north solidified alliances and trade agreements, it represented a unification of trust. To the south, the empire expanded their borders with the unification of city-states and smaller nations through extensive talks. And to the east came the looming unknown, waiting to be explored by nations in hopes of new and untold bounties of resources and riches await. At home, the established bureaucracies and ministries worked as a well-oiled and turning machine, the rapidly industrializing empire experiencing the first breaths of modernizing into the new times with undoubted thanks to mystical predecessors of Equestria, long forgotten Equestrians only known as the 'Old Ponies'. No longer than a year after the claim to modernization, the Scientific Board were granted their right to perform a military-backed expedition into the Everfree Forest to find new innovations into the wilderness and find a possibility to tame the lands. And with the expedition underway, it soon became evident there were bounties of other Ponies just waiting in the great beyond, and mandated by the Princesses were that they wished to unify these new ponies under the same banner, and under the wishes of peacemaking, love, and tolerance. It was truly a golden age that dawned over Equestria. Links! Book One: The Indiana Stallion
