1. Fantasy frowned in thought, before speaking up. "Oh, I was just going to suggest that you should adventure with me every now and then. Not for very long, I had reasoned that much, but I would hate to keep this Moonlight waiting for you. You certainly hold her in high esteem, understandably so. Of course, maybe one of these days I could take a vacation in Canterlot. That 'twould be fun." She smiled enthusiastically, wondering briefly what this Moonlight was like. Obviously nice, but beyond that she wasn't sure. Ah vell.

She sighed happily, before adding. "But I suppose I'm focusing too much on what will be. Now is just as good." She rested her head on his shoulder. "If not better."

  2. I must say I enjoyed the film, although I must say I wasn't watching to pick out differences, and it has been a while since I last read the book. That said, I loved the riddle game, and the Great Goblin was fantastic even though he didn't get much screen time.

The riddle game, despite my inadequate memories of the book, did play out differently, rather so I noticed it. Can't say I hated the rendition, it was awesome, but that leaves two or three main things I was looking forward not happening won't happen until parts 2 and 3. I really wanted to see Bilbo stab some spiders, and I still cannot wait to see Smaug's taunt. Good Celestia is he awe-inspiring. Heck, Smaug is such a dragon, he's the dragon other dragons wish they could be.

My thoughts on the trilogy: I guess I can see why they'd split it, it is kind of an epic romp around Middle Earth I suppose, although three parts may have them stretching out some scenes, so lets hope that they're amazing

And my last thoughts: Dr. Watson makes an excellent Hobbit.

  3. Fantasy raised an eyebrow "Oh? I must keep that in mind." She managed to keep a straight face for about 3 seconds before joining his giggle. As it died down, she again glanced up, not so much in thought, but more so from force of habit at this point. Turning her head slightly, she looked towards Darkness as a few ideas ran through her head, as their appearances were inevitable at this point.

"Pardon me for dwelling on an old subject, as I know you said you don't spend a whole lot of time in Canterlot, but I'm curious as to what 'a whole lot of time' is. As in, do you go back once a week, once a month, or so on? I know its a bit specific, but trust me, I have a point to this."

  4. Again and again, Fantasy found herself blushing tonight, this time being Darkness pulling her close. She would think she'd have gotten used to it, but somehow each romantic gesture exchanged was just as similar as the previous one, right up to the first one. Not to say she was uncomfortable, quite the opposite really. She smiled in turn with Darkness' comment on her flying, before commenting on it. "I can't say I've given much thought on being a pegasus. I suppose having wings would be pretty handy. Still, I must thank you, as your company is just as good."

She paused, musing a thought. "Although, I'm starting to wonder if you'd have any problems with uncharted waters. After all, isn't your talent never getting lost? You certainly seem to know what you're doing." She gave a slight chuckle before slightly nuzzling in under his wing, to fit a little more comfortably.

  5. Hiya!

So, if I'm not too late, I be happy to RP with ya. I myself am looking to get a few more threads going. Looking over your characters, I believe I do have a few ideas. I can see my own Unicorn, Enos Gray, interacting with a few of your Trottingham characters, as he would not object to visiting his birthtown. Enos is bit scatterbrained, so that could play off as an odd first impression

I also have a unicorn, Fantasy Tropes, who is incredibly fond of a black witches hat and a matching cape, so that could lead to an interesting encounter with Cosmopolitan, for better or for worse.

Lastly, I also have a pegasus, Silver Lining, who is incredibly unfocused, laid-back, and prone to day dreams in between cloud shaping. I figure that coud provide an interesting parallel to an intense Hope Locket.

For the sake of including all options, I also have a Griffon (Hugo) available, but I couldn't think of any ideas with him of the top of my head. Feel free to give him a look, if you want.

So, yeah, take your pick, or make your own. Either way, I'd be fine. :smirk:

  6. So watched the episode, and I liked it, despite it not being my favorite.

Lightning Dust was an actually interesting antagonist, at least to me, because she wasn't going out of her way to be a bully but rather she just wanted to be the best (other people's expense merely overlapped with this), and she also didn't play directly against Rainbow Dash, because it seemed like she did have respect for RD's talent as a flier. She may have been a jerk to the others, and she may have tried to get RD to be a jerk to the others, but she wasn't intentionally a jerk to Dash until she was confronted on her behavior.

I do suppose that makes two of RD's 'friends' kind of mean, the first being Gilda. Guess she just attracts the wrong crowd.

Also, this may have been the only episode in which I didn't mind seeing Derpy, mainly because I have a hard time seeing her want to go to the Wonderbolt's academy, and it certainly makes sense that she didn't get in.

And I had a good laugh at Snowflake chomping the cloud out of existence. Overly-manly Pony YEAH!

  7. Fantasy smiled as she answered, blushing slightly in turn again at Darkness's peck. She tossed around a few ideas in her head of what to say, then she spoke up. "Well, I guess you could say I'm not used to this, so I guess I am a bit unsure. Everything is uncharted waters here, and while it certainly is wonderful, believe me, I'm never quite sure of what to do." She closed her eyes for a few brief seconds, hoping honesty would help her out here. Stretching out a bit herself, Fantasy stood up herself to better match Darkness' pose.

  8. Well let's see... If I review the tapes from the privous night, we can clearly see that the person in charge was none other than....

A robot Abraham Lincoln. Huh. What are the odds?

Regardless, I guess I have some good news and some bad news for you:

Good news: As a robot, he doesn't to breathe, so you don't need to stop it

Bad news: Not breathing doesn't affect him in the slightest.

However, if you can make a few calls to the right guy at the electric company, he can cause a localized blackout lasting just long enough to prevent Mr. Robo-Lincoln from recharging his battery, effectively getting the same results. Celestia speed to you.

  9. Fantasy watched as he stepped back, but closed her eyes in thought upon hearing the question. Again and again it seemed like she was winging the whole process, which made sense given it was still new ground, but still it was enough to give her pause. Stalling for a bit more time, she started speaking. "Well... I guess we could..." she trailed off, hoping to think of a thought, but was unable to .

Giving a thought a try, she ventured an answer "I guess we could wander around for a bit... no. Its a bit dark for that. Maybe we should go for something simple. If there are a few pebbles around, we could always just skip a few stones." She sounded slightly unsure of her answer almost ending it as more of a question than an answer.

  10. Fantasy chuckled, before replying "From what I've gathered from your family, that certainly doesn't sound like a home, that's true!" She didn't follow his gaze, but rather she looked quite happily at Darkness for a few seconds, as well as balance various cryptic thoughts running through her head. Or were they cryptic because she wasn't dwelling on them? She figured it didn't matter much. "But hay, I haven't had a home for quite some years now, and I've been doing just fine."

Finally, she leaned back a little, and looked again towards the still empty spot where the shooting star was, no longer feeling any remorse (that had passed for now) but rather she wondered where it had went.

  11. A bagel is a delicious yet often misused article. You see, while it most certainly can be consumed, the actual purpose is to let it go stale to the point where it becomes as hard as a body builder's abs. Then, it is used to strike fear and terror into society by having it lie around, all nice and toasted and buttered until someone decides to take a bite and then... massive jaw pain.

The person below me can correctly identify the word. Hint: it is avian in nature.

  12. Well, now that you mention it, I'd be 'appy to give a slice of life a whirl.

Let's see... Midnight is an author, is he not?

I have a few ideas, with a few of my characters, so I hope you don't mind a bit of a list:

Enos Gray - My own unicorn, and a bit eccentric but altogether fond of talent of any kind. Also a bit scatterbrained, so he very may accidently wander into a place he shouldn't or perhaps absently bump into Midnight.

Hugo - My griffon poet, masquerading as a circus strong-griffon do to a series of unfortunate events. I can see Hugo trying to pick up a few tips and tricks from Midnight whilst maintaining a facade of being uninterested in literature

Fantasy Tropes - An Earth Pony and an adventurer by trade, perhaps with a few good stories to write about herself, with all she's seen. Or at the very least, an interesting meeting along some road.

So, yeah. Just a few ideas tossing around the ol' noggin. Tell me which one ya like!

  13. 1. When bronies make a parody or recreate a video (ex.: Cutie Mark Crusaders Beep Beep thing) and then the original is spammed with comments of: "I came here from ponies", "Guess where came from!", etc.

Actually, this is probably one of my big ones as well, or at least the one that gives the haters a reasonable argument because at this point it really does come close to shoving ponies down other peoples throats.

  14. Fantasy paused hesitantly as she mentally phrased her next sentence. She knew why she asked, but at the same time she didn't want to dwell on the thought that much. Deciding to play it off, she answered somewhat honestly "I... don't really know. I just figured that the grass is always greener on the other side. I always figured that I-" she paused in her Freudian slip for a split second before quickly recovering "-I mean the shooting star might get tired, or perhaps run out of places to fly. Yet, I don't think they can very well stop, even if they've found a place they'd like to stay."

Fantasy gazed to the spot where the star had first popped up, considering that by this point it was gone. Realizing she had taken a bit of a somber tone, she didn't want to ruin the mood, so she flashed a quick smile towards Darkness, before adding "Of course, maybe I'm wrong. I'd be lying if I said it wasn't the first time."

  15. To be honest (and legitimately serious), at this point I'm more afraid that nothing will happen. No changes, no big evolution, no life-altering revelation not even a cataclysmic apocalypse. At this point in human history, I'm not asking for a natural disaster, or for penguins melting our icecaps or anything drastic. All I would love to see out of the 21st is some sort of idea, or, well, something.

    Anything.

And so I knowingly set myself up for failure, and I ask myself: why? Why do you even want this? And to be honest I really don't know. Maybe I just want something to really mix up global events; something to really make people think. And that won't happen. Everything will stay exactly the same with the same normal day-to-day events, with the same people with the same mentality with the same problems and the same solutions and the same hate and the same peace and the same everything. Nothing will change. Just... nothing. Nothing at all.

And isn't that just a little sad.

  16. Ideas I like: Teh Windshear Passage

    My character: http://www.canterlot...-griffon-ready/

RP Type: Public is my knee jerk response, but I'm just as fine with private

    Shipping: No, 'fraid not

Just one concern with Hugo: He's very much stamina and strength rather than speed, so it could very well (and probably will) be slow going. But yeah, given Hugo's rather intense focus on honor, he could very well take the passage as a challenge to his strength. So, at least he had motivation.
