  1. Greetings; I just wanted to ask you could eleborate more on Bass Rider's past and personality. How did he get his cutie mark? Why precisely did your character feel that staying in Las Pegasus would not help him further his career goals? Why is Bass stuck with stage hoof jobs when DJing is his passion, and how does he deal with this? How is his personality like now? How does Bass define good music?

Oh, I also want to ask what sort of unique magic that Bass Rider can do that aids him in his DJing? Typically, unicorns only know advanced magic that relates to their line of work (making it doubtful that Bass can levitate or teleport himself).

Addressing these issues will help beef up your Character Summary considerably, and it always helps to doublecheck your grammar too. :)

  2. A couple of times when I was a kid, my family drove out into the middle of the desert to see the best possible view of the Perseids. The night sky in such a remote place is a wonderful sight that everyone should see at least once in their life (especially with a meteor shower). Simply turning off your house lights will not do the night sky justice if you live anywhere near a source of massive light pollution.

  3. Fast food: In-N-Out 4x4 burger with cheese and ketchup only

Sit down restaurant: Currently a toss-up between chicken-fried steak, prime rib, and gyro with meat only. All-time favorite was Denny's meat-lover skillets, but they don't serve those anymore.

Food made by my Mom: Spaghetti

Food made by my Dad: Breaded porkchops

    Dessert: Chocolate bar

    Drink: Cherry icee

  4. There may be one other possibility that we have yet to consider; that Princess Skyla is actually the heiress of some as-of-yet unknown Crystal Kingdom ruler. For some reason, this ruler is unable to either run the kingdom or care for Skyla, so Princess Cadance gets brought in as the Crystal Kingdom's Steward until Skyla is fit to rule.

In other words, Cadance would once again be a glorified foalsitter. :o

  5. Much like how "Trekkies" and "Whovians" don't have an age or gender association, I don't think bronies should either.

We might need a new gender-inclusive nickname for FiM fans then. :P

At any rate, the only way I'd make the title of "Brony" more exclusive than my previous definition is to only apply that title to those who feel a need to openly express their appreciation for FiM and/or seek out other FiM fans. Sort of like how casual Star Trek fans who may like that franchise but would not go out of their way to buy merch or seek out like-minded others would not be considered "Trekkies". Ergo, I'd say that everyone who posts here is a "Brony", if for no other reason that everyone here made the conscious decision to become members of a clearly-advertised FiM community. FiM fans who seek out other FiM fans shouldn't have to be regarded as "less than Brony" just because they don't buy merch, create fanwork, reveal their love of FiM to non-fans, or perform any other specialized activity.

EDIT: A FiM fan who does buy merchandise but does not make an effort to find other fans is still a "Brony" in my book, too.

  6. Ever heard of The Immortal Game by AestheticB?

I read a few chapters of it this morning, though the villains there were not exactly what I had in mind. My theoretical Queen-antagionist would be someone who really believes in nuturing and spreading Harmony throughout all the land... so much so that she'd be willing to order questionable deeds like burning down the Everfree Forest (nothing there but horrible monsters), launching an all-out war on the Changelings (because Harmony is at stake!), and forbidding ponies from ever, ever having any sort of conflicts/disputes/ect. with one another (arguing is bad, mmkay?).

  7. Future villains, eh? Well, if Discord was all about Chaos, then perhaps Ponykind needs a villain who desires Order and Harmony at all costs... a long-lost alicorn Queen of Equestria, possibly. While this Queen wouldn't be a sadist or other type of mustache-twirler, her methods of ruling would be misguidedly authoritarian compared to those of Princess Celestia. Ironically, this Queen actually does more to foster disharmony and chaos as the citizens of Equestria refuse to tolerate a seemingly-tyrannical ruler.

  8. This would be my list:

    Twilight: Lesson Zero

    Applejack: Applebuck Season

    Rainbow Dash: Sonic Rainboom

    Pinkie Pie: Feeling Pinkie Keen

    Rarity: Suited For Success

    Fluttershy: Putting Your Hoof Down

    Spike: Dog And Pony Show

    Celestia* Luna: Luna Eclipsed

    * Luna (as Nightmare Moon) had more screentime in the pilot than Celestia, you know.

  9. You sound a bit like one of my online buddies Chapien; while he is a super-awesome programmer who recently graduated with a Computer Science degree, he absolutely hates stuff like Discreet Mathematics (I know because he was ranting specifically about Discreet Math last week). As long as you're at least half the workaholic that my programmer friend is, you'll be able to get past math courses. If you are worried that you won't be recieving as much creative writing and music education as you'd like under a BSGD program, make sure your portfolio of completed projects demonstrates your game design aptitude in non-programming fields. Your portfolio and your connections are your two best friends in getting a job in the video game industry.

  10. 1. If a bee, wasp, or hornet is flying around in my general area, I stay away as far as I can. Especially if they're not busy with flower business. If a big bug flies outside my window and I think it could sting me, I shut the window even though it wouldn't be able to get past my screen.

    2. As I never quite learned how to swim, I get real nervous if I'm in a small boat. I absolutely will not swim or dive in anything bigger than a backyard pool.

  11. I don't think the Hayseed Swamps are meant to correspond to any real location, just as there's little-to-none real-life inspiration for the locations that make up Equestria's "Core" (Ponyville/Canterlot/Cloudsdale/Everfree). On that note, I wonder if the city of Tall Tale just south of Vanhoover has a real-life namesake?

Nitpick #2: Shouldn't "Dodge City" actually be Dodge Junction? :?:

  12. Observation: the "official" map appears to be very very loosely based on North America. Note that all the periphery cities are located in the approximate spots that their real-life namesakes would be on a real map. There's even a Vanhoover in the northwest corner! Assuming that the real world can serve as a somewhat reliable guide for placing Equestrian cities, then Hoofington/Washington would probably end up on the south shore of Horseshoe Bay (fittingly right next to a swamp), while poor ole' Trottingham would be on the other side of the Pond from Equestria-proper.

Nitpick alert: I think Los Pegasus should actually still be Las Pegasus, since Las Vegas seems to be the more obvious namesake for the place than Los Angeles.

  13. Hmmm, I suppose that if it comes down to it, nearly all the locations that originate in the RP (Stalliongrad, Aquellia, Itaily, ect.) could be relocated... if rather painfully. At any rate, it's probably not a good idea at this time to make a new RP map until we have a clue as to the whereabouts of "that place" in Season 3.
