I keep my [colour=#800080]personal stuff[/colour] out of RP areas, the [colour=#800080]Canterlot thing[/colour] though is directly related to here and such not just personal, thats why I mentioned it.

Inconveniently for myself the [colour=#800080]Shadowbolts [/colour]are not very responsive and thus I need to wait long for my questions to be answered. How is this related?

Conveniently for you that means I can maybe setup the [colour=#800080]Wind Shear Passage[/colour] today already and plan on the other RPs too so they can get setup more quickly once more people show interest. (I cannot start all the RPs just now... I would be spamming the forums lol)

[colour=#800080]Flyer Competition Arena[/colour] is up.

[colour=#800080]The Windshear Passage[/colour] needs some more planning by me and the [colour=#800080]Shadowbolts[/colour] have priority over it, so I am sorry for the wait, but I cannot do anything about it (actually I do but its complicated). Keep in mind I'm just gaining back my trust and I cannot instantly be all super active again, looking at Canterlot still pains me.

The Colosseum, how some ponies call it, is the Arena in which a lot of competitons are held. Currently there are no events schedulded and yet it is filled with pegasi.

During those times the Arena serves as gym for the pegasi of Cloudsdale. Here they have a place to stay fit, compete with their friends in obstacle courses they can create with the surrounding clouds and meet other ponies interested in wing-focused sports. Occasionally you even meet a griffon or a hippogriff here. It is said that some love stories started here too.

An eventful place it is for sure, maybe even more between competitons than during them.

During this late afternoon Nocturna decided she could use some exercise to stay fit for her occupation, which is certainly asking for a lot of practice. But that is not the sole reason. She prefers to fly apart from the crowd, meaning she is usually flying alone and not in a place like this, but today she felt like she could really need the company of other pegasi, wether they are interested in flying as much as she is or not. Everypony needs to socialize from time to time.

It fits rather well that she is in such a good mood today.

The sun was already turning red and nearing the horizon, but still quite far from touching it. [colour=#0000ff]"What could be more satisfying than a wonderful sundown while flying here?"[/colour], Nocturna asked herself, [colour=#0000ff]"haha, except for flying in the night." [/colour]

She wanted to sit down at the border of the Arena and watch the sundown, but remembering what the reason of her coming was she decided to look around, trying to find somepony that looked interesting enough to talk to - that is of course if they won't come at her by themselves.

The Flyer Competition Arena is the setting we know from the Episode "Sonic Rainboom" in which Rainbow Dash participates in the Young Flyer Competition.

There are "locker room clouds", the "spectator clouds", the "VIP-Cloud" and of course the actual track. There are a lot of clouds you can use to make your own obstacle course or do any kind of exercise you want. Feel free to experiment.

Pegasi come here to practice their flying skills, harden their body or to stay fit, in other words, to work out. Of course that doesn't mean you cannot have a conversation or chill hours on the spectator clouds, watching the stallions or mares you find attractive working out.

It's an always open setting, so feel free to leave the Roleplay and come back later whenever you like. Just like you would leave the gym and come back later in real life. This also means there is no posting order, just don't dominate the RP. Let some time pass between your responses and everything will be alright.

I might not stay in the Roleplay for very long at the beginning of it, but I will surely come back later again when things settled down a bit for me IRL. Feel free to have fun with your pegasus, fly a few rounds, compete with others about who is the better flyer and maybe even fall in love with someone.

I liked the beginning of the episode and the song. But thats about it, the rest wasn't so great. I missed a real "conflict" here. The conflict of AJ not seeing that she is doing too much is just too weak for me. It's okay if there are such small conflicts in episodes but then there have to be more than just one. And the entire episode was all about that one small thing and that bugged me.

At least there were a lot of new ponies to see - inspiring. And I'm sure Mojo is happy to see the young Granny smith =P

Its funny now, I have Symphony apped and wondered if Alison Rose would app her too again, but since there is Fiddlesticks now...

No I really need some time to get my head clear.

Wind Shear Passage is full Silver^^ and I'm afraid with 6 people it will already a bit ... difficult. But you sure can join the Flyer Arena when I put it up.

About that: I currently have not the strength to put up a RP. After a roller coaster I feel much less dizzy than right now. It probably has to wait until after Christmas.

Sorry for the delay guys, I am trying to start the adventure and the Arena RP soon - I just have trouble writing a good start and OOC threads currently. My brain refuses to work properly on those things and I cannot do it without enthusiasm and concentration - since english isn't my first language.

With some luck I can post them this evening (europe timezone) or tomorrow. I have to start the Shadowbolt Threads too, so I have quite a lot going on right now.

I'll see what I can do.

I've added you Tacobob. Now it seems like half the forum wants to workout at the flyer competition arena =P and the adventure is full as well. Sorry for anyone who wants in, but I think it is going to be very chaotic if we have more than 6 people in the RP - and 6 is already quite a lot.

Now is anyone against starting either the Arena or the Adventure before Christmas? If not I will write the RP threads in the near future. I'm not sure, do we need a OOC thread for them? The adventure could be done with PMs (6 people per PM is possible^^) and the Arena is more uh... yeah a open RP where you don't need to know much about it xD

I liked that Spitfire was reasonable the whole episode. She didn't go soft on Rainbow Dash just because of their previous relationships (after all she was saved by Dash before and impressed by her at the Gala). She also acted as hard as you would expect someone who has to deal with recruits - wannabes who mostly don't have the skills for being a Wonderbolt - somehow has to sort them out right?

Also her shades... and that "serious business" face - awesome.

Mhm, not sure you might have misunderstood me. There are no competitions, the adventure is a team effort, you against nature and the Flyer Competition Arena is basically a workout. You go to the arena I mentioned and that we all know from the show and you can practice there.

Oh well, I enjoy your stories, sadly I have none of my own. My college buddies took it quite well that I like that show, occasional jokes ya know, but nothing else.

Haha, I know what you are talking about. Usually I have a finished written app waiting to be reviewed so I have plenty of time for the one that currently is WiP - but I usually need all of that time to actually make it good. Writing on "off days" can really kill a character for me. So take your time.

Midnight, I'm sure if we make it funny enough like Flutterscotch suggested we can easily bring you into the Skybar or the Theatre if we tie a few baloons on your unicorn.

About the adventure: If you suddenly think the RP wasn't such a good idea afterall, let me know please so I can free up the spot. If it happens during the RP I have special ways to get people inside - just need to be a bit creative. So don't be afraid to bail out if you feel you can't keep up with the RP, have no time for it or lose interest.

Thats probably the easiest way. ^^ Just get prepared, when the Help Staff comes they will question the origin of her traits and you might need to explain why she is how she is. Usually that is accomplished easily by writing a bit about her past.

I have added you in the lists. Seems like I can start the adventure quite soon. Also the Flyer Arena should take off at some point too, sounds like people are interested in that one.

I personally really love the creative style of your app. I've never come across one like these before and it's definitely more entertaining than my apps.

Hopefully I can give you some soothing information and advice here:

1. No feedback is rather normal if you just posted the app! The ones take care of the apps are the RP Help Staff consisting of the RP Helpers and the Senior RP Helpers. The RP Helpers will review every app from the oldest to newest and if they think it is ready give it to a Senior RP Helper who then will stamp it - if everything is alright. It might take some time until Help Staff gets to you - my Symphony App is way back on page two and not looked at yet.

Other users comment rarely on apps, since it's a lot to read mostly and they don't want to give you wrong hints, since they are not Help Staff!

2. I'm afraid the helpstaff will want from you that you follow the application form more exactly - here I post it for you:

3. If you want to make sub-categories like I love to do (e.g. "Flaws", "Wishes" or "Fears") use the indent button and put them under Character Summary, or if its something like "Cutie Mark Story" under History.

4. Help Staff might ask you to change the style of your app. I cannot guarantee you that, but usually you just write in 3rd person about your character, like a novel or like you would tell someone about her. It is not forbidden to write in 1st person or in a different style, but it makes reviewing the app harder for the staff. This style requires to interpret what you tell us, so there is a chance they want it changed. I wouldn't change it until you get an official statement from the staff.

5. You should add a bit about her cutie mark. You mentioned it has to do with her talent for machines - can you be a bit more exact? Also it's always great if you write about the day or moment she got her cutie mark.

A few more positive things:

Did you make your avatar yourself? She looks really pretty and that picture has something to it that sets it apart - amazing.

Her character sounds interesting and round, not boring and flat.

Please note that I'm NOT a RP Staff member and any information I give you is just as good as my knowledge! If the Help Staff says something different then they are right and I am wrong!

I only get people for my RPs when I send PMs around to people I know or advertise it in chat. It really seems like people are not very... welcoming to random people open OOC threads with random ideas no matter if they are good or not.

IRL you can fly with baloons, you just need a lot of them. ^^ Mythbusters episode!

Well, you can always come up with an own similar idea. I'm sure there is a way our OCs could meet, the question is rather: Would it be interesting aka worth playing?
