  1. Anyway If we disregard any kind of overthinked analytical stuff any pony is good to ship with another. Even considering they are anthropomorphized they are still cartoon ponies after all, not everything is inevitably transposable; I just like to speculate that way.

Though technically Zecora is not a pony I still include her in the lot. I think more and more Zecora / Fluttershy would be a great shipping.

By the way I wonder if Zecora is not the only important character of the show without any apparent flaw.

  2. I don't think Dash is confident at all any field, she just brags which is typical of insecurity. Even in the athletic field, her best asset, she still doubt of her performances (to the point she cheats). Dash needs to become more confident to stop being a jerk, not to be controlled. Meaning she needs responsabilities rather than being in a role in which she would be made childish.

In my views Twilight (only toward other ponies, not toward Celestia) and Applejack are the confident/stubborn ponies of the show, Dash and Fluttershy the insecure ones and Rarity / Pinkie Pie are more neutral, the cast is balanced to obtain the better identification possible, to appeal to the wider public possible.

Fluttershy and Applejack are too close to friend zone to pair correctly in my opinion, same problem as Applejack / Dash. Frankly if you want to defend Fluttershy interests she can hardly pair with anypony because she is ignored / bossed around / in friend zone of the 5 other mares. Except Big Mac I can't think of any decent pairing for her and considering they both aren't so talkative, not an easy job to make an encounter possible. With Zecora perhaps.

  3. Ashwood goes into the path winding in the menacing forest.

"Is this the way to Zecora's home? Hearsays are the mysterious zebra only speaks in verse, would be an interesting encounter..."

As he gets further into the forest, Ashwood becomes slightly anxious. All these stranges noises he can hear in the darkness are not the most reassuring. Hopefully hoof prints are already marking the path. He smiles to himself.

"I could have some company soon..."

A sudden gust of wind blows in his back. Adjusting his hood, the itchy pony already regrets his costume choice.

"I won't get a cold tonight but still, this monk robe was a terrible idea..."

But an unpleasant surprise awaits the wanderer. The hoof prints he conscientiously followed so far abruptly stop, as if their owner had vanished into thin air. He scratches his head in perplexity, worried of the implications of such a discovery.

"Could it be the poor ponies preceding me on this path were captured by something terrifying, like a manticore?"

A moment Ashwood thinks about turning back to get some help but he realizes with dread the lamps behind him seem to have blow out as far as he can see. Sitting for a minute he thinks about what to do. Soon a little voice makes itself heard.

_"Pssst Mister, is the witch still there?"

Ashwood looks up and discover with amusement a young pegasus perched into the branches of a massive tree. He looks around before answering.

_"I don't think so my young fellow. My name is Ashwood, what is yours?"

_"My name is Perched Lighthoof. My friend just flee over there when he saw the evil witch but I prefered hide in this tree."

_"A fitting name for sure. Don't worry for your friend, he's probably safe in town now. It seems like we can't turn back without light on our way, we'd better move along. I'll keep you company."

  4. Approaching the monument, Ashwood notices the place is still empty of any pony presence. He sighs.

"Finally some quiet, the town is so noisy tonight. Hopefully these candles on the plinth should be enough to accommodate my reading."

The satisfied pony stretches out, lie down behind the statue and take a book out of his snatchel.

Evolution of the celebrations in Equestria under Celestia's reign: a thousand years of traditions analyzed and commented

    "An appropriate choice for tonight."

As a biting gust of wind blows, Ashwood shivers and adjust his scarf.

"Considering the chilly temperature, wearing a costume wouldn't have been such a bad idea after all..."

  5. Pretty sure it won't happen, not suitable for the target audience for obvious reasons. IMO Spike crush on Rarity is specifically because they logically can't get closure, we wouldn't see that between two ponies. Beside romance usually end being incredibly irritating and unrealistic in cartoons.

Parents appareance is a different deal.

  6. Rainbow Dash has too little self confidence to really stand up for herself. Rarity can push her around a lot easier, because Rainbow is scared of losing her friends.

This. Rarity and Applejack are both too stubborn to give up on the other claims, no such problem with Dash.

It's because there are certain feelings present between the two... I ship RariDash. ;-)

IMO it would be a problematic shipping; Rarity being somewhat passive aggressive she would boss around the not so confident Dash.

Dash would rather need a cheerful reassuring pony (Pinky) or one who would let her being the dominant in the couple so she can become more confident (Fluttershy).

As for Rarity, she would need a strong headed partner to not succumb to her every whims. So Twilight, Big Mac, Applejack would be decent candidates. Poor Spike definitely can't compete.

More seriously though, I think part of it might be that Rarity can relate to Dash better. They have a lot more in common personality wise. They're both very driven and focused on proving themselves (Rarity is always trying to impress ponies in the fashion world with her styles, Dash is always trying to impress the Wonderbolts with her flying). They're also both the type who at first glance seem more focused on themselves but are in truth wonderfully dedicated to their friends. It's comparatively harder for her to relate to Applejack, with whom she has a little less in common.

More like that indeed. Same drive in differents fields of interest.

  7. Strange, I was thinking I already wrote how he handles the quills, perhaps I erased it by mistake when I rewrote his summary.

He holds the quill between his mouth, its not a real feather of course as it would be very uncomfortable.

I gonna need to improve that but I work on a fanfic at the same time, kinda eat a good deal of my free time at the moment.

  8. Argh I should have worked on it this week-end and I skipped on it -_-

If I have to go further in detail about how he got his cutie mark it gonna need a full RP, I can't just do things half X_X

For his other interests I don't know how pertinent it gonna be to develop more than the likes category. I could tell he prefer mint tea to grey tea and oak forests to gardens but is it really relevant?

The application form specified to keep the character summary simple, how long should I go exactly?
