1. Also... this is personal... but something about the art really bothers me... It just isn't appealing to me, in fact it sorta creeps me out.

    You're not alone, believe me!

    I know better and should give the show a chance, but with what I've seen and read I just have no interest. It's great that they have a lot of talent for the crew, but it feels forced and gimmicky. I really don't see this being successful with the FiM audience, but who knows right?

  2. Mang guys, that there aubergine sure is srs bsnss! Right Mr. :aubrey: ?

    chrysalisawesomeplz.png?1

    I personally love it. It's like an Easter egg of sorts that only either more keen/vet members will get, or those whom actually pursue the mysteries of the aubergine. Funny about mentioning the mum and colour part 'cause I didn't pay attention to that until now. I wonder what other words have been changed?

    pinkiegaspplz.png?1 I must find out if these other words exist! ... After this game of NS2 pinkiepieplz.png?2

  3. I wouldn't worry about the back story Kayian, start out small and build on top of it! :)

    I'm not a member of the staff Kayian, but this seems more like a RP question. If you have any further questions which pertain to RPing, visit the sub-forum Role Playing Related Items.

    On a side note: The links for the WoE intro need to be tweaked. The links have an extra www.canterlot.com/page/ at the beginning. I'm sure most users will just simply edit the url when they see that, but I just wanted to point it out.

  4. Hey there Grunt! Welcome to Canterlot, founder of all that is Equestria and producer of the mysteriously delicious Ethereal Pretzel! (I think it's the magic they infuse it with)

    Enjoy your stay with us and don't be afraid to ask any questions you may have ;)

  5. It's hard to say. I'm sure that Disney would take good care of FiM and everything else, the question is (as ya pointed out) how freely the shows would become after they've acquired Hasbro. I did think about them heavily changing future seasons to the point where we don't even recognize it as it once was, but that would be insane on their part. They know they can acquire a mountain of dosh from us and will do as such. IF Disney did acquire Hasbro, what I'd hope is that they would have their episodes available online so that they can easily make funds via adds. But here's the facts, they'll likely only have old episodes up with a maximum of two episodes per week for those without a subscription to them. If this happens, you can bet I'll 'Do what you want 'cause a pirate is free!'

    I'm not worried 'cause after all, this is a rumor. Even then, I doubt Hasbro is willing to sell themselves off to Disney with how successful the show has been.

    But I'm curious, where did you hear this rumor in the first place?

    Welp, I should visit EquestriaDaily more often

  6. Welcome to Canterlot Solaire of Astora, where the sun is always shining and the air smells like warm root beer and the towels are oh so fluffy! <3

    Where th- . . . wait.

    I've seen you before Solaire of Astora, this is no mere coincidence.... I see.

    The way I see it, our fates seem to be intertwined. In a land brimming with ponies, could that really be mere chance?

    Enjoy your stay here, at the Hotel Canterlot

  7. True.

    But you wounldn't feel that you've wasted money buying stuff for a game you hardly play?

    Yes, I've had buyers remorse on some digital items. It depends on the game itself really, but usually I hardly spend that much dosh on digital goods 'cause sooner or later I'm going to stop playing X game in due time. Even if I don't have that much time as I did before, I usually find some time to grind away for what I desire, it just takes longer :smirk:

    And im sure that some developers are thinking of the players, but I doubt Ubisoft are. The've pretty much run Assasin's creed into the ground and this seems like a last ditch effort to squeeze some more money out of it.

    Oh well of course! I personally blame CoD for all the craziness in how expensive and required DLC is nowadays. The part that also rustles mah jimmies is when the DLC is actually already on the disc and all you do is buy a digital certificate to unlock it. I can understand since Microsoft LOVES to charge the living daylights out of game devs, but that doesn't stop the fact that one feels cheated out of something they technically own already.

  8. Woot, desktop thread! Time to clean things up and post an awesome backgro-

    post pictures of your desktop AS IT APPEARS at the moment you read this thread. No cleaning up unnecessary shortcuts or changing the wallpaper.

    :scream:

    Sooooo, ever wanted to see a desktop that hasn't been managed for about three months now?

    As for my excuse? BANEBLADES! That's all I can say.

  9. delight!

    ~~~The story thus far! Warning: May contain Ditzy~Doo and other things which make no sense! :razz: ~~~
    (Poor punctuation included to prevent possible headaches)
    Rarity and Pinkie's ADVENTURE TIME!
    One fateful day there wasn't any any fun and Pinkie went shooting balls at everypony and finished shooting
    the entire crowd into some flavorful monkeys.
    The monkeys tasted their tails where flaming rocks which exploded ran away from oatmeal flavored
    rocks that monstrous hosues whom he decided that it should go down the lane.
    So rarity hopped to the bacon strips that tasted like ham embedded deep undercover rodents that were
    scurrying around the floor whilst silly rabbits stormed the castle gates over bundles of cereal boxes
    containing surprises comprised of colorful sheep that exploded like giant containers full of mustaches,
    filled with shiny nickels named Phillip that are foolishly soft, malleable and squishy and female
    and plentiful, but...
    Somehow, Princess Bubblegum transmogrified into a surprisingly delicious tuna that flew
    over Princess Woona, exploding with vigorous delight!
    ISFP - "Artist". Interested in the fine arts. Expression primarily through action or art form. The senses are keener than in other types. 8.8% of total population.
    I'm also FlooterShy. The description for ISFP is quite scary considering how accurate it is for me.
  11. For Single player: Completing Impossible Mode for Dead Space on a new file. It would've been easier if I actually used stasis on everything but I feel stasis spam is a gimmick more than anything :roll:
    For Multiplayer: Winning a game of NS2 by soloing two hives with a jet pack, flamethrower, and being a good distraction. The alien players ignored me for the first hive, but a good majority came rushing at me when I was destroying the second hive. My team took this chance to push out and destroy the two other remaining hives, winning the game for us.
