Hmm, I wasn't even considering seeing it, put after hearing these good reviews I may just have to see it...

So here's my contest entry, DJ D4sh-3. Combo of Rainbow Dash and DJ P0N-3/Vinyl Scratch. I worked for the last couple hours on this silly little filly, so I hope somepony likes it! XD

So, I used the templates provided by The Wonder Staff Of Canterlot! and pieced it together, drew in the patterns and did the colouring in GIMP. I'm not a talented artist by hand, so this is the extent of my artistic side. First time making a pony from "scrratch" (see what I did there? I crack myself up), so it's a tad rough...

I really got into doing her bio, I enjoy this kind of thing. Although my filly doesn't have her cutie mark as of now, I went ahead and wrote her cutie mark story, mostly because I was on a roll and feeling motivated.

Name: "DJ" D4sh-3

Sex: Filly

Age: Older filly (To put it in perspective, between the CMC and the Mane 6, sort of like a teenager. )

Species: Pegasus

Pelt Color: White

Mane/Tail/Markings Color & Style: Defined alternating colours (Like Dashie) with colours ranging from Baby Blue to Indigo (Similar to Scratch)

Eye Color: Red

Cutie Mark: She enjoys the music listened to/played by Scratch, but despite knowing that she still hasn't earned her mark. later in life, she's involved in music production and earns a cutie mark of a golden record.

Motivation: Strives to be like Scratch and get involved in music.

Likes: Music, Casual Flying, Being with Friends.

Dislikes: Excessive Flying, Large Crowds.

Character Summary: "DJ" D4sh-3, named after Rainbow Dash but adapting the spelling style and title of Scratch, is an older filly, who still has not discovered her cutie mark. She grew up watching/listening to Scratch performing her music, and she has the potential to be just as good as her. That being said, it'd come as no suprise that she's not an avid fan of Rainbow's work on weather control, her aspirations with the Wonderbolts, or anything Pegasus-related really. D4sh-3's mindset is in the studio and, despite loving both her parents equally, secretly curses the fact that she was born a pegasus. Unicorns use their powers to do track editing, and with no powers, she's at a major disadvantage. Despite this, the aspiring DJ won't quit her dream. D4sh-3's also not an overly outgoing and social little filly. She prefers to stay within her tight-knit group of friends, and isn't eager to jump up in front of any crowds of the sort. This will be a challenge she'll have to overcome if she wishes to become a famous jockey like Scratch.

Cutie Mark Story Following graduation, "DJ" D4sh-3 begins to work with Scratch, to learn more music from a hands-on perspective. She works in the studio with her mother, helping with recording and editing, and eventually produces one of Scratch's album releases nearly all on her own. During a show on Scratch's tour, she gives the stage to her young apprentice, to try her hand at performing in front of a crowd as the opener. After getting off to a shaky start due to stage fright, D4sh-3 put on a solid performance, and recieves a warm reaction from the roaring crowd. Despite this, she still felt like it wasn't TRUELY right, and those feelings were cemented by the fact that, unlike she hoped, she did not earn her cutie mark that night. Post-tour and back at home, D4sh-3 recorded herself. While she recorded a fantastic piece, it wasen't until she left the sound booth and went to the editing room that she felt enthralled. D4sh-3 discovered that day that her true passion lay in the studio, producing the music of other ponies and delivering them to the masses. Her cutie mark appeared that night, a golden record, a sign of things to come for the young music producer.

Thanks to both of you for all the info and especially the kind intros. I have 5+ posts now, so I'm A) Not a bot and B) Working on my signature! The only thing I'm trying to figure out is how I'm going to get the background to blend in with the forum layout since every post has a different colour background. maybe if one of you knows, you could share this knowledge with me?

Being Steel/Dragon, that means you're weak to only Fighting and Ground, and resist everything but Fire, Ice and other Dragons.

Hey everyone, just signed up about 45 minutes ago, and after browsing around I figure I should actually introduce myself. I mostly joined in here because a project I'm on may be using this as a communication grounds, but I'm also just excited to be apart of a brony community, and may even try my hand at some RP (Which I haven't done in a while, but hopefully I can get back in the swing of things.)

Quick bio I guess. I use Steeldragon as my username EVERYWHERE but figured it was only suiting that I finally make a pony-related UN, so I ripped off an episode title. Super original I know. Even though Fluttershy's not my favorite, it flows nicely with keeping true to a Dragon - themed name.

My girlfriend got me into MLP, she's just as much into it as me, with the only exception being she actually has the talent to do fanart, I cannot draw for the life of me.

Uh, that's about it I guess for now. I look forward to chattin' with you all, and also, if somebody wouldn't mind pointing me in the direction of the Edit Signature page, that's be lovely. I know it's hiding in the UCP somewhere, just can't find the bugger.
