  1. Applejack, because they are on the ground, not flying. Rainbow Dash's got speed, that's a given, but all her power is in her wings. When flying, she rarely uses her legs, so they aren't worked out nearly as much. While Applejack is always on her feet, so she works them out a lot more. Plus, she could keep up with a stampede of cows, which must take some speed.

  2. I've really only gotten into one manga called, Skip Beat!, which is quite good. It is very long though, but well worth my time. It's about a 16 year old girl, Kyoko, who ran away with her love, Sho, to Tokyo so he could follow his dream of becoming a top music artist. He rises to some fame and gains many fans. One day, Kyoko decided to pay a surprise visit to Sho only to hear him telling his manager that the reason he took her with him is so that she could take care of him. Simply that she was like a maid and how he had no real interest in her, instead preferring women like his manager. This shock Kyoko and sends her into a hate filled rage, vowing (as she's taken away by security) to take revenge on Sho. She aims to beat him in show biz. It all focuses on her journey in show biz and takes some romantic turns. It is a shoujo manga, but it's a very good one with a strong lead.

    Tl;dr:

Sho tricks Kyoko into basically being his maid. Kyoko find out and vows revenge against him by beating him in show biz. It follows her through life and career after this event.

This manga is not finished. You can find both books and scans of it online or at a book store. ( Though I can't get the books around here anymore! :scream: Why did Borders have to close!?! )

  3. Well there are a couple of things I've been into lately:

Avatar: The Last Airbender re-runs on Nicktoons are always fun. For those who don't know, it's about a boy who can bend all four of the elements and is trying to restore balance to the war stricken world. It's a great show and most any episode can get a laugh from me.

There is also Top Gear, which I have only started to really get into. I'm so excited for the season opener tonight! (The British version.) Both the British and American shows are great and so funny! Plus, it's actually helping me to understand cars a little more!

Then there is Phineas and Ferb is also great. I love the humor in that as well. It's just a cute show and really is fun. All I have to say is the Ferb is the man.

As you can see, I like things that make me laugh. :geek:

  4. Well, I usually come up with a story of some sort, get into bed, and let it play out. Eventually I just conk out. Also lately I've found a youtube channel called PaulFromStokeUK that has a lot of relaxing music, some which have things that premote sleep in them. I just play some of it on my iPod with headphones in and I drift off. A nice warm pet or blanket help too, my cat curls up with me every night and when she purrs, it's like a sleeping pill. :geek:

  5. (Is currently wearing the Heir of Breath shirt) I am a big fan! It was boring at first, but I got hooked. It can be a bit off puting, but I love the characters. I never got why people avoid it because they think it's a fad. I know it sort of is, but it's also a good story.

Latest(ish) updates: My question is, who's going to be swapped as a player, Dad or Nana? I hope it's Dad.

  6. Yep, you got it in on time, it is also quite adorable and good. Makes me wonder more about her relationship with her father as that appears to be the most complex one and would make great fic material. ;)

Thank you! I figured she spent more time on the farm, so she also spent a lot more time with Big Mac. I have been thinking about making a fic about her, but from the main places I've seen, OC ponies aren't well accepted. (Not counting Canterlot of course! :D ) It's a shame though, because some of the OCs I've seen are amazing!

  7. yes >:| I've been trying to think of town names since I heard about the game; I can't believe I didn't think of that!

It happens to the best of us. I'm probably going to use my normal town name, Dinville. That's what I call every town I've made. (Granted I've only made one town per game.) I don't know why I always use it really, it just has a nice ring to it I guess. What have you called some of your towns?

  8. I think I do agree that I like the old designs, but I think that's just because I've been playing since grade 4 or 5 and it's just a nostalgia thing. that being said, the fun of animal crossing is built only on the nostalgia of it for a lot of players... but I'm looking forward to the new designs because I think their tallness will make it easier to make cosplay outfits for them :P

I actually never knew about the fact that your town lost grass when you ran until recently :? I've read so many strategy guides and cheats and stuff online, but I never came across that for some reason... my town always had lots of grass in both WW and CF, I guess because I didn't like to run

I hope they keep Coco and Gaston D: I kinda hate both of them, but I've had them in all of my towns (me and my sister combined had 5 towns) and they never move out no matter how hard I try. it wouldn't be the same without them XD

Yeah, I guess your right and the tallness is quickly growing on me. I can't wait to try me hand at a few cosplays!

Some towns are just lucky I guess. I've seen some fixes, but I hate time-traveling when it comes to games like this. It takes away the fun of waiting for holidays and such. I'm pretty sure that it only happenes in City Folk, because I never ran into that problem in Wild World and I ran every where.

That's like Peanut for me. She bugs me to no end, but I have had her at least once in my town. I think everyone has a neighbor like that, my friend was like that with one of the wolves, but I forget which one. He hated her, but when ever I visited the town, he was nicer, but not by much.

Something just popped up in my head. Something tells me that we'll see at least one Ponyville. I can just picture the mane six's cutie marks plastered on the ground. I really hope someone does something like that, just so I can visit the town! ;)

  9. I saw that video a few days ago and may I say, it looks great! Though, I do like the look of characters in the ol games a little more. It just made it seem a little different. The other changes in the game as far as graphics are great. I'm glad that you can switch it to 2D though, the 3D hurts! The clothes and trees are very well done, from what I've seen. ( I just like the trees. :geek: )

I've played both Wild World and City Folk, but I much prefer Wild World. My town in City Folk lost a whole lot of grass, so I got turned off from it. I played Wild World for a good year and a half before I took a break, then went back a month or two later. The only problem was that my DS has a faulty slot for games and sometimes froze up. I caught an angler fish ( The one with the lantern on its head) and my game froze up! I was so ticked!

Enough about the older games. I want to swim now! I hope they bring back the constilations, they were one of my favorite fetures. Waiting for this is a lot tougher to wait for then Skyward Sword. I'm glad I've seen some of my old neighbors in the promos, but no Freckles. That duck was my favorite. Ugh, give us more Nintendo! More!!!

  10. @DottyDroll

Oh, I hope so. Then again, almost every MLP site member is! I haven't met one that wasn't friendly. It's also nice to hear that it's a nice evening for you!

    @Skye

    Will do!

    @Doc Hoof MD

Thanks for the welcome and I plan on it.

  11. Hey there! As you can see, I'm new to Canterlot. This seems like a great place to hang out and I hope to make a lot of friends. I was lucky enough to find this site through Equestria Daily. You can feel free to call me Toad, Toadette, Toadette25, or Toadles. (Don't ask about Toadles, my friend came up with it and she can be a crazy as Pinkie Pie. xD) Well enough about me, how are you all this fine afternoon?

  12. I just don't want this in with the entry post. I have a few quick things to say:

A: Crapy scan is crapy. :D

B: Sorry, I can't help but draw diagnoly on the paper. Never mind! After many attempts, I got it to work!

C: This was the best job I could do on the image. Digital art and I do not mix.

D: Pleasepleasepleaseplease tell me I got this in on time!

"Well hey there, y’all doing here? Your really here to learn about little ol' me? Alright then, let's get started! I promise I won't charge ya a bit!"

    Parents: Big Macintosh and Cheerilee

    Name: Sunny Brook

    Sex: Filly

Age: School age, around the CMC's ages

    Species: Earth Pony

    Pelt Color: Mulberry

Mane/Tail/Markings Color & Style: Light orange, like her father's, but with a stripe of light pink down the middle, like her mother. It's a bit messy, but that’s she prefers to have it. Both her mane and her tail have a slight spike to them and curl at the tips.

Eye Color: Green that varies in the shade depending on the time of year.

Cutie Mark: A small pile of bits, to show her love of saving and earning money, especially for the farm.

Motivation: Sunny Brook loves bargaining and selling in the market place of Ponyville. You can normally see her helping to run the apple stand with her aunt Applejack or shopping for food and other goods. She is also quite eager to learn, thanks to her mother, Cheerilee, who began to teach her from an early age. Her favorite subject in school is math, because it comes in handy when she is helping to run the stand.

Likes: Along with her love of buying and selling, Sunny also enjoys many things. Her favorite season is spring and her favorite holiday is the Running of the Leaves, mainly because of Pinkie Pie’s commentary. She couldn’t live without angel food cake and golden delicious apples. Though she likes helping around the farm, she really enjoys playing with her friends, even if it can be a little rough sometimes. She also enjoys a nice, hot bath now and again.

Dislikes: Sunny hates it when she doesn’t understand something, especially when it comes to math. Out of the many foods she will eat, she won’t even try daisies because she thinks they smell terrible. She doesn’t like letting people down either. Much to her mother’s dismay, she doesn’t enjoy brushing her mane, but is forced to do so once every day. Out of all the things she can’t stand, Sunny hates fire and is slightly afraid of it. (This fear will be explained more in the character summary.)

Character Summary: Sunny Brook has both a mother and a father at home, who’s names are Big Macintosh and Cheerilee. The two first met when Big Macintosh came in for a parent-teacher conference in place of Granny Smith, she was sick at the time. It was around a year until they finally got their wish, a small filly. They decided to name her Sunny Brook, after Big Mac’s great-aunt.

Sunny grew up around the farm with the Apple family, wandering around Sweet Apple Acres until she knew the entire area, right down to the last tree. Once she was old enough, Sunny was able to come into Ponyville with her parents to go shopping, visit friends, and to learn how to sell apples as well as other supplies. Though she spends more time on the farm, because of Cheerilee's influance, she only has a slight accent. As a young filly, she really wanted to help her father buck apples, but she would become very thank full that they started her off at the stall.

Soon, Sunny began school and made a few friends that she played with every day. This group included a unicorn named Sparky, and pegasus named Snowy Wind, and an earth pony named Blueberry. This group of four was inseparable from the first time they were assigned a class project together. Eventually, Sunny was old enough to have her mother as her teacher, but she tries to keep this quiet to avoid bulling from some of the other students.

About two months into the school year, she finally earned her cutie mark, a small pile of golden bits. This happened after her father and aunt decided to let her run the Sweet Apple Acres stand for the afternoon. The business started off slow, but quickly picked up. Though typically she would be overwhelmed, Sunny’s determination to impress her father allowed her to work through the crowd with ease. Every word she said seemed to come out without a thought and it was almost like her body had a mind of its own. She was having so much fun making deals and selling apples, it wasn’t until they finally closed up that she noticed her flank wasn’t blank any more! She dashed back to the farm with the biggest grin on her face after she saw her mark, leaving her aunt in the dust. Once there, she burst into their home and showed off her cutie mark to any family member that she could find.

Sunny Brook wasn’t afraid of anything until one night when she and her parents were on a camping trip. They were having a blast, eating, talking, and playing. Cheerilee was making a s-more over their campfire while Big Mac and playing around with Sunny. Things were getting a little rough and Sunny was accidently shoved forward, her hoof falling into the nearby fire, which resulted into a nasty burn. Luckily, the burn fully healed and no scars were left on her hoof. All that the incident permentaly left was a new fear of fire for Sunny. Now, she can’t be around a larger fire then that of a lantern would have without freaking out. She’s not very proud of her fear, so she tries to hide it best she can. Only her family and three best friends know about it.

Sunny can be considered a little intense when she’s trying to sell something, but is usually very friendly. She can become extremely determined to do something and can only focus on that one thing, which can cause a lot of problems at home and school. One of the most important things to her is to be smart and to impress her peers. Education means a lot to her because of her mother’s job. She doesn’t want to let any pony down and feels crushed when she can’t do something for them. She strives to prove herself in every way she can, feeling that it’s the only way she can be useful to them.

Out of all the people she wants to impress, Sunny really wants to prove herself to her father. This has been a goal of hers for a long time, but it was mainly caused by her cutie mark. Anyone could easily tell that he was disappointed that her cutie mark didn’t follow the apple family tradition, in other words, her cutie mark wasn’t an apple or apple shaped. So now Sunny attempts to apple buck with her father whenever she has free time, but isn’t very good at it. Almost every time she bucks a tree, apples go flying every where instead of neatly falling to a basket. Sometimes when this happens, it makes him frown a little, but other times he just laughs. She prefers it when he laughs at her.

Sunny Brook truly loves her family and friends and wouldn’t give them up for the world. She also knows they care for her just as much as she does them. Her life wouldn’t be the same without all of them; it would be empty, like there was a hole in her heart. She hopes that she will never have to leave any of these ponies and that they don’t leave her. You could say she’s a little too attached, but that’s just the way Sunny likes it.

“Well, that’s all there really is to know about me. I hope you enjoyed my life! Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got some apples to sell. See y’all later!â€Â
