“I’m Silver Platter, and I would like a medium roast coffee with a small pinch of sugar and a large amount of cream. Add some cinnamon to that too, if you would. Additionally, I would like two scones, please.”

The mare nodded to the stallion and turned back to work her magic. She picked a cup and filled it up with the mix before adding the very tiny pinch of sugar he requested and then stirred it into the coffee mix. Once she felt it had been mixed enough she brought the cup over to the creamer but didn't put the cream in yet. First, she added an amount of cinnamon like the stallion requested. Then she began to fill the cup with the large amount of cream. Some cream actually slipped off of the cup and fell on her hoof. She quickly levitated the cup up and kept it safe as she slowly licked the cream off of her hoof. Eh, tasted better when mixed with a drink.

She placed the cup in front of the stallion and then opened the window on the glass container of baked goods. She brought out two fresh scones and placed them ever so delicately on a small plate and then levitated them over to the stallion as well. Right when she finished she caught the last of the conversation.

"Here is your drink and scones sir. I'd say that'd be about five bits." She then looked to the crystal mare. "Crystal Empire?! Oh my goodness! I didn't even notice you were a crystal pony! I mean no offense by that..I just didn't.." She was so super excited to see a crystal pony in her shop! This was great! "Oh..the drink. I think two bits would be fine. BUT not only the Crystal Empire but you went to the Gala?!....I didn't go to the Gala..." She had a quick look of a pout before she quickly perked up. "How was it? Was it as amazing as every mare says it is?!"

  2. Overall, Maverick looks like a very well thought-out character. However there is a small nitpick I have to bring up; Aquellia is a republic in WoE's lore, and not a kingdom. Remove the reference to "Griffon Kingdom" and you'll be good to go. :)

Alrighty! Griffon kingdom tid bit is no more! :D

  3. Roleplay Area: World of Equestria

    Name: Maverick

    Sex: Male

    Age: Young Adult

    Species: Griffon

    Eye color: Blue

Coat color: Regular half lion and eagle half. Feathers are mostly white except for the feathers on his head which are pushed to one side and have red tips.

Mane/Tail: Tail is a regular brown. His feathers on his head start off white and have red tips. He always wears a pink seashell necklace around his neck.

Physique: He is a slender griffon. He is lean but not muscular.

Residence: Born and raised in Rockwington. Once he was of age he moved out and currently lives in a small beach cottage on the sea of Baltimare.

Occupation: He teaches all types of species the art of surfing. He also participates in the local surfing contests and sometimes sells the shells he finds on the beach.

    Cutie Mark: N/A

History: Born in Rockwington the little Griffon was just like all the other griffons. He acted and behaved just like them. That was until he and his parents decided to take a trip to..none other than Baltimare! The beach city was seen as a perfect place for the family to go.

Once they got there the young Maverick seemed to never want to get out of the water. He seemed to love the taste of saltwater, no matter how bad it was for him. His parents were just happy to see him so happy.

When the griffon was splashing around in the shallow part of the beach he noticed the number of seashells on the sandy floor. He picked up a few and gave them to his parents as a gift.

And pretty much right after that moment the little Maverick noticed something going on out there on the other end of the beach. It seemed like some kind of festival or something. All he really realized was he saw a few ponies ,and even a zebra and griffon or two, out on the ocean on these..long boards racing along the waves.

Maverick thought what they were doing looked like so much fun! He wanted to try! But he didn't have on of those boards. So he pleaded to his parents, who eventually caved and went a bought him a beginner board that wasn't the same as the board he wanted. But he didn't care.

After that the griffon spent hours, upon hours out there. Constantly falling and getting mouthful after mouthful of salt water and sand in his beak. But he didn't care how long it would take him, he was determined to be as good as the surfers he saw earlier.

And good he got. In the three days he had the board he had learned the basics from trying to mimic the moves of those he remembered or even saw. He actually got a few pointers from the stallions on the beach that had participated in the contest.

But the dreaded time came. The time for the trio to return to their home. The young Maverick was sad he had to leave yes, but he was happy knowing that he would be back.

The years passed and Maverick finally came of age to where his parents thought he would be fine to live on his own. So they proposed he move out and in an instant he shouted he wanted to move to Baltimare and live on the beach.

So with his parents help they got some money and before he knew it he was living in his own house on the beach. It was great.

Even though he lives by himself he still sees his parents. They come down and visit him a few times when they want to. The griffon is still new to living alone but he will get used to it.

Besides, now that he is alone he has started giving lessons to those who want to learn the art of surfing. He makes a few bits off of doing that but usually he doesn't charge teaching what he loves. He likes to sell the shells he finds. He still wears the new shell necklace he made for himself. He will never sell that shell.

The griffon is trying to get into the business of learning how to make surfboards. He has the one he bought from the local surf shop..but he feels like he would be more of a true surfer if he made his own board.

Maverick still has a lot to look forward to in life. He is ready to face what comes at him head on with confidence. Because life for Maverick...is TOTALLY GNARLY DUDE.

Personality: Maverick quite possibly is the most fun loving and easy going griffon a pony or zebra will ever meet. He never seems to get angry and always seems to cope well. He is a different griffon being that he doesn't reside in the Griffon Kingdom. He was born there and all, he just chose to move to out on his own.

When one speaks to Maverick he always seems to speak in a calm and slow voice. His vocabulary consists of many different terms one would not usually hear on a daily basis. Such as "Gnarly" or "Bodacious" any many many more. The griffon adopted these new words living on the beach of Baltimare.

Since Maverick is easy going he is quite easy to get along with. His sense of humor is just a normal one so jokes in conversation will make him laugh. His semi slow speaking makes for his conversations to take a while. But since he has been talking like that his whole life he can't tell he takes a while to get a story out.

He has a large amount of zest for life. Everyday for him is different on account of how the ocean will behave. When a day a comes with bad waves Maverick will often either sit inside his wooden home and do nothing or just find something to occupy his time.

Maverick has his faults as well. Due to really only knowing surfing, when he can't surf he will often become bored very quickly. He is easily distracted as well and can often forget what he was talking about mid sentence. Now the biggest fault of Maverick is the fact that he just bottles up his emotions. All of them except for happiness. Whenever something makes him angry or sad he will literally do his best to just forget about it and move on. He doesn't like to let himself get angry or sad. But bottling up your emotions is never good.

  4. Okay. We are at the First Temple. I have ideas for the rooms and the layout but I just want to keep regular updates here in the OOC.

Sorry if it seems rushed. I wanted to go for that factor of the To Be Heroes being rushed into the action and meeting Gaondo- I mean Sombra.

But this will be a combination of like all the LoZ. Only ponified and I will add my twists here and there. Hope you guys are ready for a dungeon crawl to get our souls back?! :D

“I’ll admit, I’m a bit undecided. What would you recommend?"

Well alright! She had just opened up and already had a customer! The mare gave a warm smile to the stallion and giggled at his confusion on what to get. "Well that all depends on what you are in the mood for." She pointed her hoof to the many instruments used to make her drinks behind her. "Need to be woken up? I can make you a good brew of coffee to perk you up. Or if you're like me, then you can just have a cup of coffee for the taste. But! I can also make you a cappuccino with any twist of flavor you'd like! Or..twists that I have available here." She gave another set of giggles and then cleared her throat. "Or if you'd like just a glass of juice I have a few types you can order. I have sparkling water as well, Oh!" She then pointed her hoof to the glass window with the baked goods inside. "I have a wide variety of baked goods you can treat yourself to as well!"

Just before she was going to suggest another thing she noticed a mare trot in. She looked rather groggy as she approached the counter.

    "Strongest coffee you have,"

Carmella actually waited awkwardly for the mare to finish her sentence..but she never did. So she gave her a nod and turned her back to the customers. Her horn lit up as she levitated a few ingredients over to her. She then opened up the pot filled with the fresh brew of coffee and she poured it in a medium sized cup. She put the pot away and took out a more than regular amount of sugar and poured it in the mix to give it that extra kick. She levitated a few more ingredients over to help give the mix that "Strong" sense the mare requested.

Once she was finished she turned back to the mare and placed the full cup on the counter and had that same warm smile as she looked at the mare. "There ya go! I added in a few extra things to give it that edge to help perk you up. You looked a bit groggy...did you stay up late last night or something?" She let out even more giggles and then turned to the stallion. "Whenever you are ready..Mister...I never got your name.." She then pointed her hoof to the mare. "Didn't get your name either."

It was another great day! Great day for work that is! The giddy tan unicorn bounced happily from table to table making sure that the chairs were in their right positions and what not. And once she finished among the tables she took a good look over by the front door.

The front entrance was directly in the middle of the wall with two windows right on its left and right. Upon entering the door one would first be greeted by the ever tantalizing smell of coffee beans and freshly baked goodies. Whether they be cookies or biscuits or whatever! And the ears would be flooded with the smooth sounds of sweet jazz chords and notes as they played just soft enough to be heard.

After you get past the smell one can see what is inside the cafe. The cafe is basically all wood with wooden floors and walls but with protection from fire where necessary. It is well lit with hanging lanterns and a lights as well. The lanterns are only on the tables that the customers can light for themselves if they choose to do so. The tables and chairs were both wood was well but the chairs had cushions for the ponies who wanted to sit in them. The tables were just big enough to hold enough stuff necessary for a good meal with easy space.

After getting past the tables and chairs it is a straight shot to the front desk where a window pane blocks a few goods that are freshly backed and ready to go. Only reachable by the mare behind the counter.

Such as donuts and biscuits and crumpets and cookies but most importantly...the Scones. Each category with different types of ways to bake them for the customer's choice.

And behind the counter is a register and all the things needed to make her baking easy. Such as a stove and two or three coffee makers and what not.

If one were to look directly left from the front of the counter one would see another room that had more chairs and tables in it. But this room had a small stage big enough for a band to play on. It had a mic on stage but everything else the band needed to bring themselves. This was the stage where Carmella wanted to have a permanent jazz band playing at all times. Right now all she had was the small record player playing some of her favorite tunes by the counter. Which was playing music always.

And that's basically the whole cafe. It was big enough to seat good sized groups but it was fairly new. It had white outside walls with accenting tan every here and there. Plus with a nice big cute sign that read, "Carmella's Cup".

The mare took a deep breath and slowly made her way to the front door. The small white sign on the door became trapped in a dark tan aura and then flipped over to read, "Open!" to all passing ponies. Carmella looked out the window and propped herself up against the window seal. She looked to the front of her store and thought it would be a good idea to have some tables and chairs outside the cafe in the front. But she would need bits...

So Carmella pushed off of the window seal and then made her way behind the counter. She looked up above at the menu as it listed all types of drinks from water to the most diverse type of cappuccino any would want. And the number of deserts and snacks and a few sandwich types. All fairly priced in her opinion.

The mare turned her head and pushed her long elegant mane out of her face and stood there waiting. For Carmella's Cup was now open for business!

    Species: Unicorn

Eye Color: Nice clear teal blue

Coat: Her skin is a tan brown all the same. Though her front left hoof is colored a soft yellow and her back right hoof is white. Just the hooves, not the whole leg.

Mane/Tail: Her mane and tail are both very long and elegant. With colors of a egg white and a soft yellow trading off in both her mane and tail. The colors of her body and mane and tail all go together very well and really bring out her beauty. Her mane and tail are both very wavy, and are kept long.

Physique: Carmella stays on the sleek slender side. She isn't muscular either. She is a slender mare.

    Residence: Canterlot

Occupation: Owner and proprietor of Carmella's Cup

Cutie Mark: A pink coffee cup filled with brown coffee. Along with three steam lines coming from the cup to show the cup is freshly brewed. The cup has a small white lilac on it.

Carmella was among the first of her class to earn her cutie mark. Growing up her father and mother did not force Carmella to do school plays and shows but she chose to do them on her own. Her parents were sure that she would get a cutie mark in theater for sure. But that wasn't the case. One day it was the same as usual. Carmella had practice for an upcoming play at her school in a few hours and her parents trusted her enough to walk there on her own. They only lived a few blocks from she school anyways and her parents were out shopping. Carmella was waiting around her home when she got an idea. The young unicorn decided to whip up a few drinks and stuff for her teacher and fellow students in the play. She had seen her mother brew coffee before so she knew how to do that. And she knew how to bake cookies and biscuits as well. So, Carmella set out on a baking adventure and began to whip up some delicious baked goods! Once she had a tray of cookies and a tray of biscuits she decided to focus on the drinks. She had prepared one bottle of coffee, for she remembered hearing her father say that not a lot of ponies liked coffee later in the day. So she brewed a bottle of cappuccino as well. The young mare actually didn't know how to make cappuccino properly so she added her own flavors to the mix. When it was done she decided to take both bottles and hoped that none of the ponies would drink her concoction.

So the time came. Carmella wrapped up the cookies and biscuits and put the bottles in her saddle bag. She levitated the trays of goods as she trotted happily to the school. Once she got there she surprised everypony with her goodies. The kids really stayed away from the coffee but they gobbled up the cookies. The stage directors drank the coffee up and they actually enjoyed her cappuccino! What a surprise!

It was then Carmella earned her cutie mark. She kept on doing plays for the school until she graduated.

History: Born and raised in Canterlot Carmella was raised pretty much like any other filly. She and her parents all loved each other and the supported her decisions. Carmella got along well with her class mates. Mainly because her best friends in her classes were also the same ponies that performed in the plays she was in. Carmella very seldom would argue or fuss for a big role in a play. Mainly because she wanted somepony else to get a big role. But there were a few plays that the young filly desired to be one of the lead roles in. And of course never did she have a perfect play. She would often mess up saying her lines or singing but she would often recover quickly.

Carmella's mother worked at beauty salon in Canterlot and her father worked as an Astronomer. Carmella as a filly always found her mother and father's relationship cute and adorable and would often ask to hear stories about dates they went on or how her father courted her. She was and still is a sucker for those love stories.

Her parents are very proud of her decision to open her own cafe. They actually stop by a few times and visit. Carmella feels obligated to give them a family discount. Which means she gives it to them for free, if they order anything.

But her parents still work at the same jobs they have been working at ever since she was little.

Carmella is eager to see what kind of ponies she will see or better yet, what kind of ponies will wander into her little cafe. She hasn't been advertising her cafe as much. She would need to get on that. But first things first, she needed to find a jazz band to play regularly in her cafe. There are so many things she can do with her cafe! Carmella has a very optimistic outlook on life.

Character Summary: Sweet and elegant in nature Carmella is not a mare to be mean. She will often go out of her way to serve every customer with a smile no matter how rude they COULD be. Carmella is not a fast talker either. Not even when she is excited. Her voice is has a soft soothing tone and she barely ever yells. The mare is a very talkative one as well. Sometimes when there are only a few customers in her cafe she will go over and ask to sit with them and just start chatting up a storm. Only downside to this is usually when she does this to a stallion they will often ask her out on a date later. Or they will keep coming back. She never realizes it but when she does this it often comes off as flirting. She doesn't flirt with every customer.

Carmella usually never gets distracted. She likes to give a lot of her attention to a pony when she is talking to them, or when she is taking an order. One would hate to mess up an order!

She is a generally happy. Though she does not handle criticism well.

Funny thing about Carmella is though she can never really tell when a pony is telling a joke or not. Maybe she focuses a little too hard? Often when the punch line is told she will not even realize it was a joke and will feel like a mean pony for not laughing.

Carmella will often ask ponies what types music they like. As that is a normal question to ask when making small talk. She will gladly tell the ponies that her favorite type of music would have to be jazz! During her days as a school filly they performed a play that was mainly centered around jazz. It had a story Carmella did not really like but the music was what got her! From that moment on her love for jazz continued to grow and grow. Now she has set up a small stage in her cafe for any jazz playing ponies that would love to perform. Soothes the soul to listen to some smooth jazz while relaxing right? Only problem...is she still needs performers.

Sure Care had spaced out for a bit but he certainly didn't think that what had actually happened would have ACTUALLY happened. When he came back to he realized he had been pushed by the mare that was about to sell him some bon bons. And how...her cart was crushed and she seemed hurt..and the candies were crushed as well. Care could see the remains of the used to be delicious treats as they lay plastered on the ground under the rubble. And as well as all over Bon Bon.

Care was speechless. Mainly because the mare responsible for the destruction was getting a talking to by the mare named Lyra. Lyra seemed rather upset. Her and Bon Bon must have been close friends. Or well..maybe she just felt bad. Basically the mare's own shop was destroyed. Unless she had another cart or something. Still repairing this would cost some bits and not to mention even more bits for all of the...lost profit.

So then the grey mare that was the wrecker zipped off to do..something.

The young stallion cleared his throat and shuffled his hooves awkwardly. "I..uh...would you like some help?" He shrugged. "I can help lift some things..or..-"

Suddenly there was a bright flash of light that blinded Care for a little bit. He flapped his wings and rubbed his eyes.

The flash came from a camera alright! The pony that snapped the picture was none other than...

    fcwry5Q.png

The young foal had his camera slowly falling back down into a resting position after that good picture. He then quickly looked at the picture and smiled at it. What luck! He had been looking all over Ponyville for something interesting to happen and well..here it was!

The young foal raised his camera and zoomed the camera in on Bon Bon's face. He then snapped a good picture that caught the wrecked cart and Bon Bon's distraught face. Shady then took a step back and zoomed the camera out. He focused it as he got Lyra into the frame as well and then he snapped another good photo.

He lowered his camera and then moved in closer to the wrecked cart. He stood practically right next to the older ponies and said nothing. He simply stared in awe. He then brought his camera up again and smiled. "This will make for the best story today!" He then followed that statement with a happy laugh and lowered his camera, checking for any new types of pictures to take.
