Lyria looked at the ponies around her. 'So this is what friendship feels like..' She smiled, and ate some more of her food.

Lyria smiled, and said, "Hi Flashbomb, I'm Lyria." His scars were pretty scary, but she paid no mind. He seemed like a pretty good stallion, even though she'd known him for 2 seconds.

"No problem." Lyria smiled as Sunray sat down next to Angel. "I should've looked harder." She whispered, hiding behind her mane once more.

She giggles lightly. "Yeah, I usually stay out of ponies way... I'm usually always hiding because everyone is mean to me and is just really rude." She sighs. "They say that I'm even more shy then my mother."

"Cool!" She smiled, and looked at him. "I'm from Ponyville." She smiled as her memories of her family swirled in her mind. "Where are you from?" She smiles, and then hides her face behind her mane again. "That is... If you don't mind me asking."

Lyria looked up. She smiled. Somepony did pay attention to her! "Yea." The smile faded from her face. "Arn't you supposed to stay with the staff?" 'He was probably just trying to be nice to a new recruit, which happens to me.' She thought, and looked at him curiously.

Lyria continued to look, and then finally started to eat. 'Just like always.' She thought. She ate her food silently, and her tail flicked every now and then.

The Everfree invoked Dawn to walk in. She stared at the forest quietly, until her hooves urged her foward.She took careful steps, for her brothers', Dusks', traps were set all over to protect his work. She used her magic to illuminate her path, which made the trees nearby glow faintly from her magic. As she walked forward, her hooves sunk into the dirt silently. She stopped in front of an Oak Tree, and knocked a special code. The gears made a sort of squeaky noise, and the base of the tree opened. Her mane flowed silently in the wind, and she walked into the tree. The walls moved, opening slots for scarves or coats. "Dusk!" She said, careful not to be to loud in case he was focusing.

"Down her Dawn!" He yelled back, and she galloped down the stairs. She looked around as she reached the bottom, and noticed the familiar blinking lights, and robotics. She smiled at the surroundings, then towards her alicorn brother, Dusk. She ran toward the light blue alicorn, smiling. She hugged him tightly.

"Brother! I missed you so much." She smiled.

"Come on Sis, its only been a few days." He laughed.

"More like a few months for me!" She giggled, and let go of her brother. He scratched her head, and smiled. "What did you call me here for brother?" She asked as her light blue mane and tail sparkled.

"Well, I've been experimenting. You know how you didn't become an alicorn from alicorn parents?"

"Yea."

He walked over to a table, and pulled a black necklace with a red ruby and a alicorn on it from the table. "I made you this. The pony who wears this becomes an alicorn. Hence why I call it..."

"The Alicorn Amulet."

She smiled, and a few hours later, left with wings, and the amulet, venturing into the Everfree Forest once more.

Lyria looked around for the ponies that were with her earlier. 'I wonder if they are going to let me be alone like everypony else treats me. Just be nice at the beginning, then leave me...' She sighed, and found a spot alone, towards the far end of the room. She sat, and looked at her food sadly.

Lyria washed her mane and coat throughly, and then dried off. She put on her new uniform, and trotted to the mess hall.

"Thank you Angel." She smiled, grabbed her stuff, and walked down the hall to the barracks. She walked in, and found a place to lay her head. She put her stuff down, and then started to walk to the showers, her uniform in hoof.

Lyria smiled at Angel, and said, "Lyria. And thank you." She giggled a little, and continued to look at him, and the other ponies.

Lyria sqeaked a little at his voice. "H-Hi Marble." She smiled, and her man covered her left eye, sheilding her view a little bit. 'Be strong Lyria.' She told her self, and stood up tall. "Nice to meet you." Her voice shook a little, not totally confident in herself.

"T-Thanks." She smiled. "Y-Yes I'm new here." Lyria said, and wiped her purple mane out of her face. "I'm Lyria." She whispered. "And you are?" She smiled, feeling a little more comfortable with the ponies around her.

Lyria walked into the main hall, and her wings flapped inpatiently. She wanted to be here, but dosent at the same time. She sees a few ponies talking nearby, and decides to try to make friends. "H-Hello..." She whispered.

(Thanks) I saw two ponies hug, and looked at them curiously. My fur ruffled in the wind, and I trotted down the hill I was standing on. I stopped, and looked at the ponies. 'They may not like me...' I thought, and looked down. 'They may have heard of my tragic past...' I looked at them again. 'They look like nice ponies...' I thought, and continued to look at them.
