Lyria stared at Thunder Swift, and growled as the elements began to power up. Luna continued to try to revive Dawn throughout the battle, blocking out the outside world.

Lyria stood in front of Luna. [colour=#0000cd]"Get out of the way Lyria!" [/colour][colour=#800080]"No! I will not let you do this to yourself Luna!"[/colour] Luna growled as Lyria stayed, and looked at Dawn. [colour=#0000cd]Baby what should I do... You always knew what to do... [/colour][colour=#000000]Luna [/colour][colour=#000000]thought and closed her eyes. [/colour][colour=#40e0d0]"Mommy!!" [/colour][colour=#000000]Luna thought she heard. A little filly ran up to her. [/colour][colour=#40e0d0]"Mommy your here!!" [/colour][colour=#000000]She smiled. Luna looked at the little filly, and noticed the familiar shape.[/colour][colour=#0000cd] "D-Dawn...?" [/colour][colour=#40e0d0]"Silly Mommy of course its me! Let's play!" [/colour][colour=#000000]Luna chased after the little filly, playing with her happily.[/colour]

[colour=#800080]"She is losing her mind..." [/colour][colour=#000000]Lyria said. [/colour][colour=#800080]"She isn't herself!"[/colour]

[colour=#800080]"Luna! Run!" [/colour][colour=#000000]Lyria whispered. Luna looked at her, and shook her head no. [/colour][colour=#0000cd]"I have to accept it... It is fate." [/colour][colour=#000000]Lyria looked at her in disbelief. [/colour][colour=#800080]"Luna! What has gotten into you?!" [/colour][colour=#0000cd]"I just lost my daughter, give me some space!" [/colour][colour=#800080]"Well, you don't need to join the darkness to get Dawn back! We need Celestia!" [/colour][colour=#0000cd]"Celestia is on the sun, and the elements are falling apart. This is my only CHOICE!!" [/colour][colour=#800080]"No it's not Luna! We can get Dawn back, AND get rid of the darkness!" [/colour][colour=#0000cd]"Too bad. Your staying here, and we are saving Dawn." [/colour]

Luna whimpered at the thought of Dawn being live once more. But she remembered something, an old trick her dear friend had taught her a few years back. [colour=#0000cd]"Take Lyria, she got you this far." [/colour][colour=#000000]She looked at Lyria, and Lyria gasped, but silently knew the plan. [/colour][colour=#800080]"If you think right you nightmares, I have gotten you this far. Luna got easily side-tracked with her power. I would be better at this then she would. Look at how much I've gotten for you! For Us!" [/colour]

Lyria coughed, and stood slowly. [colour=#800080]"Luna... Luna..." [/colour][colour=#000000]She whispered. Luna ran back over to her daughter's body, and started to use her magic.[/colour]

[colour=#800080]"NO!!" [/colour][colour=#000000]Lyria screamed. Lyria growled at Thunder Swift, and shot at him with a large energy. [/colour]

[colour=#800080]"I was trained under Celestia for a while. She taught me how to control sunlight."[/colour][colour=#000000] Lyria's eyes shot a bright white, shooting through the darkness. [/colour]

Luna whispered,[colour=#0000cd]"I can fix this... I can fix this!!" [/colour][colour=#000000]Luna said, and stood, setting her daughter magically above her. She took off towards her main enemy. [/colour]

Lyria looked at Dawn's dead body, and sat in shock. Luna looked at her daughters lifeless form. [colour=#0000cd]"You... YOU MONSTER!!!" [/colour][colour=#000000]She screamed, and ran over to her daughter's side. [/colour][colour=#0000cd]"Baby please... Please wake up my child..."[/colour]

Luna woke up with a scream. [colour=#0000cd]"No..." [/colour][colour=#000000]She whimpered. [/colour][colour=#0000cd]"NO!!" [/colour][colour=#000000]She started to sob.[/colour]

Dawn coughed, and looked at the pony helping her. [colour=#40e0d0]"T-Thank you.." [/colour][colour=#000000]Dawn passed away right there, with a single tear. [/colour]

Dawn whimpered. [colour=#40e0d0]"T-Twilght... I ca-can get through this... I-I know... i can..."[/colour]

Lyria growled, and took off to Twilight. [colour=#800080]"I'll take Luna." [/colour][colour=#000000]Lyria picked up Luna and took off quickly, away from Thunder Swift. She put her in her mother's old cabin, and then let her lie there softly. Lyria waited for THunder Swift to come.

Dawn coughed, and looked at Twilight. Her vision started to blur slightly.[/colour]

Dawn saw a pony running towards her, but knew she would be no help. [colour=#40e0d0]"I need to say goodbye to Twilight! I can't survive these wounds!" [/colour]

Lyria smiled, and shot up in the air. She took off down to Thunder Swift, and knocked him to the ground. [colour=#800080]"It's you and me. I. Will. WIN!!!" [/colour][colour=#000000]Lyria growled, and kicked him in the chest.

Dawn blinked a few times, and stood. She screamed, and fell back down. Her heart was racing, and her body wouldn't let her move. [/colour][colour=#40e0d0]"TWILIGHT!!!"[/colour][colour=#000000] She screamed, and whimpered. She tried to see what her body was caught on, and started to sob when she saw the trauma in her body.[/colour]

Lyria stood slowly, and looked at her. [colour=#800080]"Thank you..."[/colour]

[colour=#800080]"W-Why...? I was the one who wanted to t-take over the hive..." [/colour][colour=#000000]Lyria whimpered[/colour]

Lyria growled, and fell back from the blast.

[colour=#ff0000]"So you think your so strong Thunder Swift?" [/colour][colour=#000000]The nightmares asked, leaving Lyria's now defenseless and broken body on the broken ground. [/colour][colour=#ff0000]"Go ahead. We give you one chance." [/colour][colour=#000000]The nightmares swarmed over him, turning him into the new leader of the shadows.[/colour]

Dawn looked at Twilight. [colour=#40e0d0]"I'll distract her myself." [/colour][colour=#000000]Dawn took off into the air, and kicked Lyria back, knocking her into the ground. Lyria growled, and shot back up at her, knocking Dawn out of sight.

Lyria turned towards the group of ponies. [/colour][colour=#800080]"Now listen here My Little Ponies, the night shall last forever, and you. Can't. STOP ME!!"[/colour]

Lyria stood slowly, and whimpered. She was pretty sure she had broken something. What, she didn't know. She had to help her friends. She looked up to the window that was now shattered, and saw Dawn's familiar face peeking out the window.

Dawn looked down at Lyria, and then at the shadows.[colour=#40e0d0]"Now I know why my mother made me a Princess. I'm the Princess of the Shadow's!" [/colour][colour=#000000]Dawn took off into the sky, and her horn glowed. The shadow's stopped attacking, and they looked at her. A giant beam of light appeared from her magic, and the shadow's screamed and cowered back into the corners.[/colour]

[colour=#ff0000]"No... [/colour]NO!!" [colour=#000000]The Nightmares screamed, and returned back to Lyria down below.[/colour][colour=#ff0000] "We need you, even though your a pathetic weakling." [/colour][colour=#000000]They took over Lyria once more, and she flew up to Dawn. [/colour]

[/colour][colour=#000000]Lyria screamed, and growled. Dawn kicked Lyria square in the chest, and looked at her old friend, obviously tired, worn out, and broken inside that beast she was trapped in.

Lyria kicked Dawn back, sending her down in the middle of Twilight and Shining Armor. [/colour]

Lyria whimpered, and cowered in a corner.

[colour=#ff0000]"No. NO!!" [/colour][colour=#000000]The nightmares screamed, and urged Lyria to get up. She refused, and they growled in anger. They left her body, and Lyria turned back to herself. [/colour]

[colour=#ff0000]"YOU COWARD!"[/colour][colour=#000000] They yelled, and threw her through the doorway and out the window at the end of he hall. She screamed, and landed in the Canterlot gardens. [/colour]

[colour=#ff0000]"We'll take care of you OURSELVES!"[/colour][colour=#000000] The nightmares roared, and went in a berserk attack on the ponies in the room. [/colour]

Lyria growled, and galloped towards Shining, smashing him square in the face with her hoof.

[colour=#ff0000]"Lyria is GONE! She is ours!" [/colour][colour=#000000]Lyria's shadow yelled. Lyria kicked Shining again, and growled. [/colour]

Lyria growled, and turned back to her normal Nightmare form.

[colour=#ff0000]"We don't want her as Nightmare Moon.... We have gotten farther with Lyria as our leader. We just want her locked away on the moon." [/colour][colour=#000000]A shadow growled. It jumped at Shining Armor, and Lyria smiled. She galloped towards Twilight, and got ready to corrupt her. Dawn looked at Twilight cautiously, then jumped in front of her. Shadows started to corrupt her, turning her into a nightmare. [/colour]

[colour=#40e0d0]"I had to save you Twilight... Win... Please..."[/colour][colour=#000000] Dawn whimpered, and with that, was turned into a Nightmare. [/colour]

Lyria growled, and her wings opened, and the nightmares, shadowbolts, and shadows attacked. Lyria turned into the small purple gas, and slithered towards Luna.

Lyria growled. [colour=#800080]"Just hand over Luna and nopony will get hurt." [/colour][colour=#000000]The shadows began to creep towards the ponies in the keep.[/colour]

Lyria growled as everypony started to go to Luna's side. She showed herself, and stood in the doorway of Luna's keep. [colour=#800080]"You will never be able to protect her from me!!" [/colour][colour=#000000]Lyria barked, and her mane started to glow angrily. [/colour]

[colour=#800080]"Well. Are we going to do this the hard way or the easy way?"[/colour]
