Lyria growled, and quickly hid in the on-coming train. The bubble opened slightly to allow the train to sweep through, and Lyria and a few shadows were there with her. She hid in the shadows of others, and then made her way to Luna's keep.

Luna's eyes dropped with every passing second. She struggled to keep them open, and then eventually passed out of exhaustion. She collapsed on the floor, and slept dreamless.

Lyria finally reached the castle, and hid in a guards shadow. She stood behind him and the shadows turned him into a guard of the night. They traveled in silence towards Luna's keep.

Lyria looked at the field around the city. She growled, and nightmares surrounded the bubble. They started to attack with all their might, and Lyria smirked as the bubble took damage.

Dawn whimpered. [colour=#40e0d0]"Not from Nightmares! They invade my mothers mind, and they hurt her! It's horrible[/colour][colour=#00ffff] to watch her like this..."[/colour]

Lyria's head continued to fight with the Nightmares, and she whimpered.

[colour=#800080]"Cloud[/colour] [colour=#ff0000]Dasher!"[/colour] Lyria screamed, the nightmares corrupting Lyria's mind completely. [colour=#ff0000]"R[/colour][colour=#800080]u[/colour][colour=#ff0000]n! I [/colour][colour=#800080]c[/colour][colour=#ff0000]a[/colour][colour=#800080]n[/colour][colour=#ff0000]'t [/colour][colour=#800080]control [/colour][colour=#ff0000]myself [/colour][colour=#800080]anymore! The Nightmares are going to kill you all under my command! Run! I can't hurt anymore! Just run from Equestria!" [/colour][colour=#000000]Lyria broke down in a heavy maniacal laugh, and disappeared towards Canterlot.[/colour]

Dawn ran up to Twilight, tear stains on her cheeks. [colour=#40e0d0]"Twilight what are we going to do?! Lyria is on her way to Canterlot after mum!" [/colour][colour=#000000]She sobbed. [/colour][colour=#40e0d0]"She is getting worse and worse by the second... The Nightmares have corroded moms sleep, and so she hasn't slept in 4 days!" [/colour][colour=#000000]Dawn cried, and collapsed on the floor. [/colour]

Lyria whimpered as they crawled closer.

[colour=#ff0000]"You. Will. LISTEN!!!!" [/colour][colour=#000000]They all yelled in unison, and Lyria took off. She flew over into the moonlight, and giggled. [/colour][colour=#800080]"Okay..." [/colour][colour=#000000]She whispered, and continued on as Nightmare Lyria. [/colour]

[colour=#800080]"Continue on my little Nightmares! Corrupt the ponies of Equestria!"[/colour]

[colour=#000000]They went back to their battles, with a fierce battle cry.[/colour]

Lyria screamed, and fell back into a tree. She stood.

[colour=#800080]"C-Can I go back to my friends...?" [/colour][colour=#000000]She whispered[/colour]. A branch was stuck in her side, and she whimpered.

[colour=#ff0000]"No! You can never return!" [/colour][colour=#000000]A voice came from her shadow.[/colour]

[colour=#800080]"I just want them... You just cause pain to my friends..."[/colour]

[colour=#ff0000]"No! You are so far our biggest success! Now forget about your friends. Go find Luna!"[/colour][colour=#800080] [/colour][colour=#000000]They growled, and Lyria took off slowly. [/colour]

[colour=#800080]"Stop!"[/colour][colour=#000000] Lyria whimpered, and tried to turn back.[/colour][colour=#800080] "Please stop!" [/colour][colour=#000000]The shadows started to growl, and turned on her. The chaos the Nightmares, Shadows, and Shadowbolts stopped, and they surrounded Lyria. [/colour]

Lyria growled, and sent shadowbolts at Time. Lyria growled. She took off out the window, and went up into the moons rays.

[colour=#800080]"Listen you cowards of Canterlot!" [/colour][colour=#000000]Lyria yelled, and watched as the residents of Canterlot looked up to her. [/colour]

[colour=#800080]"Celestia is gone! I have trapped her away in her precious sun! Now you must listen to me!"[/colour][colour=#000000] Shadows started to take over the ponies one by one. [/colour]

[colour=#800080]"And trust me. If you ponies of Equestria don't listen, I will NOT be pleasant."[/colour][colour=#000000] Lyria growled, and watched as shadows took over guards, and they became her guards of the night. [/colour]

[colour=#800080]"I'm going to go after a few old friends of mine.

And if they don't listen...

Let's just say we might have a few less of the population of Equestria." [/colour][colour=#000000]Lyria took off with a growl, and headed towards Velocity first.

Lyria landed next to Velocity on the ground, and smiled. [/colour]

[colour=#800080]"Are you going to join us easily?"[/colour]

[colour=#800080]"I do. I have to help the Nightmares... They will never forget me. You guys will... You'll leave for Cloud Dasher... I know it. They showed me." [/colour][colour=#000000]The nightmares hissed around Lyria, and Lyria sighed. [/colour][colour=#800080]"I'm sorry Angel. You have to be one of us, then you'll never forget me." [/colour][colour=#000000]The nightmares crept closer to Angel, starting to crawl up his hooves. [/colour]

[colour=#800080]"Don't make me do this by force." [/colour]Lyria growled, and her blue eyes shimmered. The Nightmares surrounded him.

[colour=#800080]"Come on, help me rule Eternal Night..." [/colour][colour=#000000]She pleaded, and shut the door. Shadowbolts guarded the door and windows. [/colour]

Lyria looked at the pony trailing her. Nightmares swarmed him, and Lyria blasted off towards Canterlot. When she landed, black shadows swept over the city, corrupting ponies nearby. She trotted to the barracks, and walked in, shadows by her side, and Shadowbolts around her.

[colour=#800080]"Angel... Why don't you come and join us?" [/colour][colour=#000000]Lyria smiled, her dark purple mane shimmering in the moonlight.[/colour]

Lyria giggled. [colour=#800080]"Trying to stop me? Well, once I get my Angel to join me..."

"No. One. Can. Stop. Us."[/colour][colour=#000000] Lyria took off quickly, and headed towards Angel.[/colour]

[colour=#800080]"ATTACK!!!" [/colour][colour=#000000]Lyria smiled, and bursted toward Ponyville in a dark purple mass of colour. [/colour]She landed, and the Nightmare's arose beside her, attacking everypony in that town. Lyria walked into Carousal Boutique, and looked at the Cutie Mark Crusaders, who must've been spending the night. [colour=#800080]"Oh Hello Cute Little Fillies... Care to join us?"[/colour]

[colour=#ff8c00]"Maybe we could get our cutie marks!" [/colour][colour=#000000]Scootaloo smiled.[/colour]

[colour=#dda0dd]"Maybe it'd be the moon like Princess Luna's!" [/colour]Sweetie Bell squeaked happily.

[colour=#daa520]"Then let's do it girls!" [/colour][colour=#000000]Applebloom smiled, and Nightmares spread and corroded the ponies minds, and the 3 little fillies screamed in terror. [/colour]

[colour=#800080]"Take them to the Castle." [/colour][colour=#000000]Lyria ordered, and some Shadowbolts took the fillies away. [/colour]

[colour=#800080]"Perfect.."[/colour] Lyria smiled, and watched as they started to retreat. [colour=#800080]"On to Ponyville."[/colour]

She flew over to Chrysalis. [colour=#800080]"Now that I have a reasonable army... We shall head to Ponyville. Leave some of your troops to keep hold here. I'm on my way to Ponyville." [/colour][colour=#000000]Lyria flew over Velocity, and all of her old friends. She smiled. [/colour]

[colour=#800080]"They shall go down with the rest of Equestria if they don't obey..."[/colour]

Lyria flew into the sky, and hovered in front of the moon. Her light blue eyes sparkled, and she giggled lightly.

[colour=#800080]"YOU FOOLS! YOU CAN'T STOP US!" [/colour]She smiled, and watched the battle from above. Shadows and Nightmares made their way to the opposing force, taking and corrupting whatever ones they could easily reach

Lyria smiled. [colour=#800080]"Let's meet with Chrysalis and form our plan." [/colour][colour=#000000]Lyria disappeared with the Shadowbolts to the Queens' palace. [/colour]

[colour=#800080]"Chrysalis! Shall we discuss your side of the attack?"[/colour]

[colour=#000000]The queen trotted into the room, and smiled. [/colour][colour=#006400]"We shall."[/colour]

[colour=#800080]"I was thinking that after my nightmares have corrupted the entire city of Cloudsdale, we send in some of your troops for the love entilted in that city. Then we hit every other city, wiping them of their defenses, and love, and then head to Canterlot for the big finale." [/colour]

[colour=#006400]"Sounds like a plan to me."[/colour][colour=#000000] Chrysalis grinned, and Lyria smiled. [/colour]

[colour=#800080]"Cloudsdale is down."[/colour][colour=#000000] Lyria said as her Nightmares arose from the shadows and whispered the details in her ear. [/colour]

[colour=#800080]"Let's head out." [/colour][colour=#000000]Lyria grinned, and disappeared with some of the changeling army and Chrysalis to Cloudsdale. The shadows clung to her hooves, greeting her a welcome. [/colour]

[colour=#696969]"Your majesty of the night..."[/colour]

[colour=#000000]They whispered, and she smiled. The Nightmares started to come to her in hundreds, possibly thousands, from every single pony in Cloudsdale, even the guards. [/colour]

[colour=#006400]"The love here... It's so strong! We shall be the strongest ponies alive by the end of the conquer of Equestria!"[/colour][colour=#000000] Chrysalis giggled, and took off, stealing each ponies love. Lyria could tell that her army, and her, were getting stronger from even these small amounts. Until one pony caught her in the distance.

[colour=#800080]"I see..." [/colour][colour=#000000]Lyria thought, and pondered. [/colour][colour=#800080]"Looks like we need some more. NIGHTMARES!!" [/colour][colour=#000000]She called, and the shadows of ponies worst fears and dreams crawled from the shadows. They formed into shadow ponies. [/colour][colour=#800080]"We need you to join the Shadowbolts."

"Nightingale, these should help us rule. They have no distinct body form, so-"[/colour][colour=#000000] She kicked one in the chest, and its body re-materialized into its pony form. [/colour]

[colour=#800080]"This fact should help us make sure we can't be stopped." [/colour]

Lyria smiled, and shifted into a purple mist of magic and made her way to the Everfree. Her friends needed to come out, and help her lead Equestria.

[colour=#800080]"Come my dear Shadowbolts! The princess of the day is captured! Now for the night to rule!" [/colour][colour=#000000]She smiled as they started to appear out of the dark corners of the forest.[/colour]

Lyria smiled, and watched as her nightmares started to corrupt others.

[colour=#800080]"Now... For Celestia." [/colour][colour=#000000]She smiled, and flew over to the castle. She walked up to Celestia from behind, now as tall as her, and her wings were more majestic. Her mane flowed gently, a dark nearly black purple. Her light purple fur was now pitch black, and her light blue eyes were crystallized. [/colour]She grabbed the princess, and disappeared into the shadows.

[colour=#800080]"Now your banished... To your precious Sun." [/colour][colour=#000000]She giggled, and Celestia disappeared. The moon rose, and she laughed evilly. [/colour]

[colour=#40e0d0]"CloudDasher!!" [/colour][colour=#000000]Dawn turned, and galloped over to her. [/colour][colour=#40e0d0]"We need your help too!" [/colour]

[colour=#800080]"A friend?!? What are you?" [/colour][colour=#000000]She growled.[/colour]

[colour=#ff0000]"A Nightmare. And we've been looking for a new queen." [/colour][colour=#000000]They smiled.[/colour]

[colour=#800080]"I'm not going to agree!" [/colour]

[colour=#ff0000]"We've made our offer very clear-"[/colour]

[colour=#800080]"Clear? You know whats crystal clear? That I'm not going to agree! I would never and will never stay here. Equestria is my home."[/colour]

[colour=#ff0000]"Oh, but we know that all you ever want to do is help...

Without you, our entire existence is meaningless... Your help would save us."[/colour]

[colour=#800080]"No! My friends! They need me!"[/colour]

[colour=#ff0000]"Do they? Or will they reject you when some other kind, and loving pony comes along?"[/colour]

[colour=#000000]Lyria thought for a moment. The thought of her friends abandoning her over took her mind... And Angel, would he leave her for the new pony as well?[/colour]

[colour=#800080]"But they wouldn't forget me... Would they?"[/colour]

[colour=#ff0000]"Stay with us and your kindness will never be taken for granted, and you will never be forgotten."[/colour]

[colour=#000000]A magic beam of light came from the nightmare, and started to come closer to her.[/colour]

[colour=#800080]"Never...? I just want to help..."[/colour]

[colour=#000000]The light clashed into Lyria's eyes, and the dark shadows started to swirl around her wings and legs. Her eyes glowed with a white intensity, and the Nightmare's smiled.[/colour]

[colour=#ff0000]"And you will help... More then you ever dreamed..."[/colour]

[colour=#40e0d0]"Angel! Angel!" [/colour][colour=#000000]Dawn said, frantically running around. She found Flashbomb instead, and ran up to him, panicking. [/colour]

[colour=#40e0d0]"We need to head to the moon, and fast. You, me, Velocity, Angel, Shimmer, and Gadget need to go. Now. Help me round them up. Please." [/colour]

Lyria whimpered, and disappeared into the abyss when the guards arrived. The last thing that was left of Lyria was her hair tie, and nothing else.

[colour=#0000cd]"What are we going to do my dear sister?" [/colour][colour=#000000]Luna whimpered. [/colour]

[colour=#ff0000]"Welcome young one." [/colour][colour=#000000]A voice called out to Lyria. Lyria blinked, and noticed she was on a throne, and she whimpered. [/colour]

[colour=#800080]"Who are you?!?" [/colour][colour=#000000]She screamed.[/colour]

[colour=#ff0000]"A friend." [/colour][colour=#000000]The voice smiled, and came out as a misty dark shadow into Lyria's view.[/colour]

[colour=#0000cd]"Can you keep up?" [/colour][colour=#000000]Wolfie giggled, and sped up. [/colour]

Lyria woke up from a nap, which she had been taking quite recently lately. She had been getting extremely bad headaches, and would start passing out randomly.

Dawn trotted around her room anxiously. Her mother had told her about the dangers of her friend, and she hadn't slept since. She wanted her to be okay, for it not to happen... But she knew it would.

Luna ran over to Celestia. [colour=#0000cd]"Sister! The Nightmares! They are about to take Lyria to the moon to make the final changes to her! The poor thing is getting worse every second, and...

Not even I can stop these Nightmares. They are too strong."[/colour]

[colour=#000000]Lyria started to wobble around when she stood, and she collapsed on the floor. Something was creeping up her back legs, and she turned. Black misty figures were pulling her to this dark abyss, and she didn't know where to go. She tried to run forward. She screamed loudly, and tried to grab onto something. [/colour]

[colour=#800080]"HELP!!"[/colour][colour=#000000] She screamed, [/colour][colour=#800080]"Angel! Luna! Dawn! Anypony! Help!" [/colour]
