Acrylic paused and stared at her questionably with a paint brush in his mouth. Then he got out the rest of his painting supplies and set it up. As soon as the paint brush was out of his mouth he said. "Sorry can't do that, my special talent is not scaring other ponies by dressing up as a clown. But I do know other ponies who are into dressing up... So if you're interested in that I'll give you their numbers." Acrylic said using his magic to set up his supplies.

Emulsion stared at him and then smiled "That seems quite wonderful!" He said smiling before hopping over Care to follow a frog that was hopping near a pond. "Thou arts both land and water animal." He mumbled leaning down towards the frog as the frog looked up at him not the least bit scared and said "Rib-bit"

"Ah dearest frog, thou speakest words of wisdom." Emulsion said flicking his tail side to side pretended as if he knew what the frog had said.

Acrylic raised an eyebrow curious at first he thought this pony was a stallion but now that he looked at her, after she landed of course, it was clear that she was a mare. He felt a little playful at the moment and said with a completely blank face "Would you like me to scare you in other ways?" he questioned tilting his head slightly before reaching into his saddle pack for something.

"Hello." A new voice said from behind Shadow, Acrylic had came out to the woods to paint the trees and next thing he knew he heard some pony calling for help and he found this pony standing around looking like he was lost.

War Paint paused and sighed "Must of been my imagination." She said closing her eyes and then turning back to Darkness. "Like I said, I really do like you, it's just I'm scared that I might do something to hurt you or make you not like me. I've never really dealt with something like this before." War Paint said to Darkness finally admitting what was bothering her.

Darkness sat and looked at he, "Yo..you ok?" he asked a bit worried, it was very awkward as he just sat there and so did she. Not just 10 minutes ago she was hugging and kissing him, now, nothing. "So..something on the mind?" he asked her warmly.

"Y-Yeah sort of..." War Paint said and then she felt a bit of panic rise in her. "But it's not because I don't like you. So don't think that!" She exclaimed hopping up on her feet and then she paused when she heard another voice. "Huh? What's some other pony doing out here?" She asked turning around.

Before long dinner ended and most of the paint family had started to head to bed. War Paint went up the stairs mumbling about some sort of stuffed animal that she was going to cuddle with tonight before she went to bed. As all of them slowly headed to bed Acrylic and Fresco were the only ones left up along with the guests. "You can stay the night if you want." Acrylic said to the two mares. "We have extra guest rooms and it's getting late. It's too dangerous for any pony to be out this late at night." He explained as Fresco stood at the door to the kitchen rubbing a plate clean with a rag with his magic.

"I agree, I would not feel right setting to mares loose so late at night." He said nodding in agreement to his cousin's statement.

War Paint then perked up "Ooo! They're playing my jam! Come on Emulsion! Let's dance!" She said grabbing the large stallion and dragging him to the dance floor. Acrylic laughed lightly and shook his head "Poor Emulsion." he said feeling sorry for his cousin.

Acrylic sighed and calmed down "I don't believe I've introduced myself, my name's Acrylic Paint, I'm the royal palace painter." He said trying to be polite, because he knew if he didn't than Fresco would be on his case like white on rice.

"If you are requesting a preview, Im afraid I cant do that. I can, however, do this." He said as he reached into a pouch on his trombone scabbard, pulling out two tickets to that nights show, and laying them on the table.

Luminous sighed and rolled her eyes, "I see." She said as Neon took the tickets. "Thanks!" Neon said trying to be polite. Luminous then stood up out of her chair and stood in all of her typical Canterlot mare glory and said "If you get this right tonight, there might be many good things going to happen to you and your little band. But if you screw it up... Then you'll wish you've never played in that band." She said before turning to go pay the bill as Neon laughed nervously. "My mother meant to say 'good luck!'" Neon said before following her mother

As they walked away Neon leaned over to her mother. "Mama! Why were you so hard on him?" She questioned as Luminous smirked with her sun glasses glinting in the light. "I have my reasons." she said after paying the bill and leaving.

He nuzzled her neck, "yeah, i found it, its my special spot" he giggled a bit and lead her in, following her and closing the bush, "so....what now?"

War Paint was a little surprised at how affectionate Darkness was to her, she wasn't used to it coming from a stallion that wasn't related to her. Sure in her family she was known for being the one with the horrible bear hug and had a bad habit of roughing up other ponies manes to show she liked them. But War Paint never really had to deal with a romantic situtation.

To be honest, she didn't know what to do, she had no idea how go about this and to put it frankly it kind of frightened her. Because she feared that she would do something to make Darkness hate her or say something. Heck, at this point in her mind set at the moment she feared to even think something wrong, in case Darkness suddenly had mind reading powers.

She liked Darkness, that was true, but she was beginning to think that was one of the problems. She was known to be too rough and not know her own strength. What if she hurt him? Or worse? What if she made him feel like less of a stallion around her? That seemed to happen with many of the stallions that she got around. It was fine if she was just one of the boys but anything other than that. They'd be heading for the hills screaming their heads off.

So here War Paint was standing frozen in place in the middle of this amazing looking place scared out of her mind that she'd do something wrong to mess this up.

It seemed that her thought before that she could handle any situation was wrong, she couldn't handle this one at all.

"If I dare to question, I ask what are thoust doing here? Myself, am looking for a ideas for thine next project." Emulsion questioned to two ponies, not even realizing that one of them felt a bit odd around him because of his speach pattern.

"Only if you're ready to." Acrylic said still worried about Dawn, not just because she's the daughter of one of the princesses, but because he was her friend and he cared about if she was hurting or not.

"Laugh all you want to, but when it comes time for War to get married I'm going to give her one heck of a time at her wedding." Acrylic said pointing his hoof at Thunderbolt.

After Acrylic was finished setting the table he headed outside. "What's wrong?" He asked when he saw Dawn look down from the sky suddenly.

Acrylic paused and looked over pretty shocked but went back to doing what he was doing. "Alright" He said then he looked over at his cousins shocked "What happened to you guys?" He asked

"I'm glad you undestand, but it doesn't help that War Paint opened her big fat mouth to Celestia and made me in charge of decorations." he grumbled lowly mostly to himself.

"Oh, seems thou hast gained more company. How joyous!" Emulsion said smiling "Tis a pleasure to met you two on this fine morrow they call me Emulsion. I come from the house of Paint." He said smiling happily at the two ponies.

"It's fine Dawn." Acrylic said not noticing the little thing Dawn did with his cousins. "You're my guest," He explained "It's not right for a host to put their guests to work as soon as they stepped through the door." He went on.

Acrylic looked over and sighed "Not really, these things are always stressful for the staff." He explained trying to smooth out his mane.

Emulsion looked over at Diz and smiled. "Hello." He greeted the pony.

Acrylic's eyes were wide and his hair was sticking out every which way, (which it always is but it's more dramatic now), any pony could tell that he was stressed out.

"Fresco freaks out about everything!" War Paint said sheading a tear from laughing too hard. Fresco came trotting back as Acrylic followed behind with a limp in his step. "I'm sorry for teasing you." Acrylic apologized rolling his eyes as Fresco stood over him eying him like a mother hen would if some pony was around her chicks.

"Careful with that!" Acrylic shouted running past Thunderbolt and his group as he was yelling at a group of mover ponies who were carrying in a statue of Celestia.

"No need to feel embarrassed you where just thanking me." Fresco said brushing it off like the gentle colt he was.
