It needs dramatic colouring and an awesome background. So basically, it needs to be about twenty percent cooler.

I suggest using blue's and orange for the background and have the hues of those colours growing lighter everything it gets closer to the ponies. I also suggest having more feathers floating around. Make it look like they 'ruffled' one another's feathers. And possibly less detal on each ponies wings, to go more with the style of mlp.

These are just suggestions, you don't have to listen to me. That's just how I'd go about it honestly. I'm sure whatever you do will make it turn out nicely.
