Starburst

Starburst grins a little, withholding a chuckle. Eventually the pressure builds behind her lips to unimaginable levels and she sputters, laughing heartily in Timbre Swing's face.

"If you were supposed to be the entertainment you should be entertaining then. Your accent is as thick as your charm." she says, smirking. "Now if you'll excuse me, I must attend to the door, I'm sure somepony is just waiting to join this wonderful party from outside." she says, moving towards the thoroughfare between the street and the ballroom.

Starburst narrows her eyes suspiciously and taps Fancy Pants on his shoulder. "What are you doing here, Mr. Pants?" Starburst says, with a twinge of ill-intent in her voice.

"Surely Ms. Fleur would like to know if you're going to be sneaking off to apple orchards to steal kisses from farm ponies.. It would break her heart to know that her very special somepony is wallowing in some farm filth to buy apples when he has a perfectly good wife.. and caterer... back at his magnificent Canterlotian villa. Then again.. I'm sure you're going to see the play that Ms. Fleur is acting in tonight in Canterlot.. I'm sure you can make it in time.. Of course.. you'd have to run from Ponyville to Canterlot.. in just a few hours.."

Well they still screwed the pooch on that one.

Starburst comes back from the back of the room carrying a large pitcher, pouring it into the punchbowl. "Busy busy busy... " those around her can hear her saying, quickly moving between each of the tables and keeping them refreshed. If her hair wasn't tied up in a beautiful ribbon and if she wasn't wearing a magnificent dress you're sure she would belong with some of the servers. However, this is her event, and she's only concerned that everyone is having a good time.

After she finishes tending to the punch she goes around to the tables and lights the waxy candles on the candelabra. The candelabra are of special design. Suspended around them are blown glass bubbles, filled with rainbow that the light from the candles passes through, projecting a myriad of colors out onto the cables. A larger version, a large chandelier, is suspended above the ballroom, without hesitation she flutters up and lights the pristine white candles, which floods the room in rainbow color. After landing back on the solid floor, she walks over to the windows and closes the blinds to prevent large amounts of light from entering the room, setting a sort of.. romantic atmosphere.

"Anything to settle the crowd down after that shrieking.. " she thought to herself.

Yeah, I sorta realized that and focused more on just cleaning up the edges visible to town. But still, I'm amazed at how much of the map got covered.

Yeah, about this.

For some reason during one of Notch's freaky updates, the biome there changed from temperate grassland to winter.. I'm not sure why. The update didn't mention anything about biome code changing.

FFXIV destroyed my faith in games...not that there was a bunch to begin with.

FFXIV has improved a lot since the mass firing of their development staff though.

So I think a Sailor Moon spinoff based on Sibsy's pictures would be great. She has a knack for portraying expressions. She was the Senior Storyboard Artist for FIM, so she has a lot of spunk and pull. I think she could make it happen.

I saw it coming. ;P

All of my friends have it. I watched one play it at his house and it looked really fun. I might have to pick it up this weekend. Has anyone tried the co-op? How well does it work?

Well. But don't expect Normal to be very difficult. We've only died once each from the entire game so far and we're almost to Act 3.

Starburst had to pick up a bushel of apples for her Gala celebration, so she might as well pick them up when they were nice and cheap. She arrives rather abruptly and lines up behind a rather rich looking pony.. Quite familiar with Fleur, of course she knew who Fancy Pants was.. But what would Fancy pants be doing in Ponyville of all places? Starburst was here to pick up apples to finish the catering for her celebration.. but Fancy Pants was normally the one who ordered catering.. not one who bought the apples and made it himself..

In fact.. Fancy Pants was most likely going to be watching the play in Canterlot this evening.. What would he be doing here? She brought a hoof up to her face in thought, observing closely his mannerisms. After all.. Fleur would probably want to know if Fancy Pants was swapping saliva with somepony else..

My only objection is the mention of the Oranges. They add no additional information to her story and may complicate relationships if/when someone decides to apply for them. Apple Cider herself is fine.

It's suspected.. Not proven by any means.. but if you want it removed I can take it out.

Honestly, it seems they're just slapping a desired label on the same old product (Adult Swim Saturday Night). I'm not complaining, I love me my Steve Blum (T.O.M.), but all the same...

If you read the ANN article, it says that they haven't yet released the scheduled programming yet. What's listed is their current schedule.

The thing with the real money trading is that it encourages the formerly illicit activity, but this time giving safety and control to the players while making Blizzard rich. It also sets a (scary) new precedent for the future of games like this.

Well if a game is going to set a precedent it's definitely going to be Diablo 2 / Diablo 3.

Blizzard most likely realized that to prevent all the spamming and the RMT that happened during Diablo 2 that they had to do something, so I'm guessing that something was to make it legal to do while taking a sum of the cash. Hopefully there will be less spammers this time. The chinese are still infesting Diablo 2 for Christ's sake..

And as far as an influx of players is concerned, I think WoW has set precedent as far as launches are concerned, and over the years they've gotten control of their server structure. I don't think there are going to be stability issues for this one. But it is possible.

Starburst quickly brings her hooves up to her ears, to protect from the suddenly obtrusive music, and trots up to Ironwill with a slightly-sour expression on her face. She stands up on two hooves, points a hoof at her wrist to indicate that he's sufficiently late, and motions to the larger stage, where an amplifier is set up behind the piano, next to a set of drums, covered with a clean white sheet of cloth.. "The stage is set up over there... If you'd like to play..."

Starburst busily moves between all of the ponies, making sure that all of the ponies weren't too surprised by the outburst of hot rock music. She passes by ignition, bumping purposefully into her flank as she passes towards the kitchen. She brings back another plate of crepes and sits them down on the table, taking the empty plate and dumping it into a large sink in the kitchen. She picks up a freshly prepared tray of warm Gruyere puffs, which are baked puff pastry pieces slathered with Gruyere cheese, herbs, and a savory sauce, quickly depositing them on a table surrounded by chattering ponies looking in Iron Will's direction.

Starburst sees the musician come in after handing off his ticket and hurries over to him, walking beside him as he pulls the large case up to the stage. She helps him get it up onto the stage, where the harpist and pianist are already playing a song, and welcomes him to the gala. She begins to point out each of the tables, and what they contain, and that he can help himself to the contents if he should get hungry or thirsty. After she shows him around she quickly hurries into the back room of the room.

Soon after, finely dressed ponies carrying silver trays of cheese-crackers filter into the room, offering their various cheeses to the ponies who have arrived, and who are now arriving to the event.

ck12 chipped in to shovel a whole LOT of snow, turning in six whole stacks worth of snow blocks!

Winter has been wrapped up now, I think we should stop handing out rewards.

Otherwise people might start abusing snow golems for snowballs to make snow blocks.

Ponies can have addictions. It's just a little too 'front door' for it to be straight up alcoholism. Alcoholism relates very painfully to human life because of the vast marketing and the fact that people will sometimes make the poor choice of driving a car while intoxicated, among several other reasons. The mane RP sections don't really have a place for a pony who makes destructive decisions because she has an addiction to fermented apples juice.

She can like apple cider a lot, just don't imply that she will be getting drunk and slur her judgment.

Well this is pony life.. I don't think Apple cider is going to be driving any cars anytime soon. And I didn't mean serious alcoholism. Just a little bit of slurred speech here or there when intoxicated.
