Ooooohhh!!! I've always wanted to use a lathe, haven't had the luck to get my hands on a machine shop really. Alas my territory with metal is entirely in a forge or with a welder, so I've not gotten to play with the -really- intricate stuff. And trust me... I understand the hamfists FAR too well.

Ah, it's really nothing to it. To be fair and honest I took up leatherworking because metalworking was out of the question where I was living. Apartments get mad when you build fires or try to weld >_>.

But I went to a local tandy, picked stuff up and played with it. That's how all the crafty stuff really works, play with it until you go "That...... worked better than I expected." Needen't be a Rarity on the first try (not that I listen to my own advice on that one.)
