1. Carmus smiled. Spitfire was happy, therefore, he was happy. And excited.

He pulled an unpward a U-turn, looping up and around until he was flying above her, upside down, a stunt maneuver that was converted by the Raptors to be combatant. He smiled at her, "This is a feeling you can't get inside a metal shell powered by magic."

He sighs, barrel rolling so he was right side up raise her, "I love this."

After a few minutes of flight, they landed in the Canterlot Statue Gardens. Carmus leads Spitire to a specific one mounted on a small hill within the Garden, where a statue of two Pegasi in the same stances as the Sentinel Crest, overlooking the rest of the garden, "These are Solstice, and Equinox. My ancestors, and the two original Sentinels. I brought you here fr two reasons," he indicates the statue as the sun begins to set behind it, causing it to silhouette with the first orange light of the setting sun shining through, "The statue looks stunning this time of day.

He turns to face Spitfire, "And I have a question for you. Chances are you've figured it out by now, but I'll give you the pitch anyway. We've known each other for a long time, and I want to be with you for much longer," as he speaks, he slowly produces a good band from his uniform's pocket, "You're intelligent, headstrong, beautiful. A good leader. I've told you before that I love you, but this will be the most genuine," he holds the band out to her, "I love you, Spitfire. And I was wondering,.. Will you marry me?"

(OOC: holy **** I almost started quoting Rick Astley there. Also, if you need a song, go with 'I was Lost Without You' from the ME3 soundtrack. I can't link it, but it's what first came to mind)

  2. Carmus smiled as Spitfire supplied Cloud with her own advice, his eyes aglow with love for the Wonderbolt Captain.

He clears his throat when he points out that they should get going before it was to dark. He nods to Cloud Chaser after Spitfire takes off, "Hope to see you there, Cloud. Good luck, with all you do in the future."

He smiles and takes off after Spitfire, nodding to her, "Alright. Let's get going."

Shimmer waved to them, then looked to Cloud. She smiled nostalgically, recalling how Velocity would usually bring her up in any conversations that the Wonderbolts were mentioned. Though her brother denied it, it was obvious to Shimmer that he was interested.

  3. Carmus gives Cloud a sad smile, and steps over to her, giving her a small hug, "No need to be sorry. He's in a better place. They'd want you to be strong. Though life gets hard, you have to push through to better and brighter days." He looks at the memorial, and whispers to her, "I'm sure he knew. He's waiting. I know it."

  4. Carmus nods, smiling, "Then we'll go the conventional way." He chuckles and taps her nose lightly, "Well, you'll just have to wait and see."

He turns with her upon hearing Cloud Dasher. While he is about as pleased as Spitfire to see her, he doesn't show it quite as much. He smiles broadly, and gives Cloud a salute, much like the one he'd given her upon first meeting her with his siblings.

His expression changes to a somewhat somber one, "A lot was going on. I'm sure the notice was lost in the confusion," he glances back at the memorial, "I suppose it's obvious you know about Flash, Velocity, Gadget and, well, all the dead then? How're you holding up?"

  5. What about Velocity and CloudDasher? *Nudge* Jk man, Glad youll be joining us! :D Take your time deciding!

    Hey, you never know... ;P

Is there a limit in OC's we can take on? Just curious.

As of now, I can't really think of anyone that I haven't used in plenty of other RP's, or were created for specific genre/types. So I'll just go with my ponysona:

    Name: Saronyx (duh, :P)

Cutie Mark: A piece of charcoal drawing a schematic/design out of words.

    Gender: Male

As for Canons, not sure yet.

  6. Carmus chuckled when Spitfire pushed him, telling him to stop, as he was causing her to blush. He grinned, "Aahh, but you're even cuter when you blush, Spitfire!"

He chuckles again, kissing her on the cheek, before she begins to survey the area around the memorial, including the smaller Academy that was built to keep the Wonderbolts presence known.

Carmus nodded to her, "That it is. It's a nice feeling, isn't it?"

He asked both her, his sister and Time.

Shimmer merely nodded in response, a look on her face reading, 'just leave so you can ask we already' passed completely unnoticed by her brother.

Carmus smiled to Spitfire, "As a hint, it's in Canterlot. So come to think of it, we might've been able to hitch a ride with Horizon, but I figure you'd prefer flying yourself?" He chuckles slightly, "Anyway, I'd like to get there soon. What I want to show you looks really nice this time of day."

( I figure, let Cloud speak to them, and then skip to being in the location?)

  7. "Oh. Of course he like's our company, we're awesome!" Shimmer says in a joking tone. She whispers in response to Spitfire, "Ha, it's alright. Thank you."

Both she and Carmus looked up as the aircraft landed to pick up Horizon. Carmus chuckled at his comment about non-pegasus aircraft, "Good luck. And see you there, we'll probably be in the area anyway."

He says with a salute. He looks to Spitfire, still smiling in mirth, "Of course! If ponies were meant to fly, they'd have wings," he stretches out his wings and flaps them a few times,

    "Which we do!"

He chuckled, giving her a hug, "You look cute when you do that." He said, he said in comment to her scrunched nose.

Shimmer looked over as Time stepped up, commenting on how it was only a matter of time until Unicorns learned to fly and levitated himself a short distance before dropping. She chuckled, hitting him lightly on the shoulder, "I'll agree with that when you can levitate yourself onto a cloud." She smirks.

  8. Carmus nods to Horizon, looking over at Spitfire, "Yeah, we could probably stop by there. What I have in mind probably shouldn't take to long."

The Captain listened as Horizon spoke. He looked him in the eye and placed hoof on his shoulder in a brotherly gesture, "One of the best. Good luck with your return." He removes his hoof and looks up at the memorial.

Shimmer lifted her head and noticed Spitfire waving her over. She stopped leaning on Time and stood straight, discreetly slipping the rose and beneath her wing - figuring she'll keep her engagement a secret until the party - before trotting over to her brother, Spitfire and Horizon, "What do you need?"

  9. (OOC: Huulloo!)

"As would a Pheonix." Carmus says after Horizon seemed to have come to terms.

He himself wasn't fully sure what had happened to them, but he had a feeling that they were still alive. Velocity and Flash surely would have mentioned if they'd seen them in Caelum.

His face took on a knowing smirk when Horizon asked if they had plans for the night. Carmus kept it hidden from Spitfire until he got it under control, "Well, I was planning on taking Spitfire somewhere pretty special to my family tonight in celebration..."

Shimmer shrugs, leaning against him, "Well, I'm kind of like the Rogue, and Vel was the Tank... Maybe you're our white mage?" She blushes for a split second when she realizes what she said, facehoofing, "Well that's awkward.."

(OOC: I really need to develop more of the Sentinel's origins. Random thought)

  10. (OOC: You're gettin' engaged! And you're gettin' engaged! Alla ya'll are gettin' engaged! couldn't help it)

Carmus stepped to the other side of Horizon, putting a hoof on the back of his shoulder, "I understand where you are coming from, to a degree. Shortly after I first signed on with the Raptors, I was on a stealth-recon mission with my team, which included my brother before Vel. Things went awry, and the team was compromised, save for my brother and I. He went back to try and save them - which was against orders - and I could have gone with him. But I didn't. I chose to continue on with the mission."

Carmus sighs slightly, "The entire squad. My CO, my brother, all of them, were killed. If I had been there, I could have done something. If I had disobeyed orders, they would all be alive..." Carmus kneels down beside Horizon, "But I'm deviating. What Spitfire says, is true. Thunder Swift was like a Demon. You saw what he did to Shimmer, and that cost the life of another 'brother'. He killed a Flight worth of our Defense Squadron with barely any effort. You can't know the outcome of the battle had you and your squad intervened with Velocity. And if I know my brother, he probably would have told you to back off. He understood the risks, and he was willing to pay them, if his death meant the benefit of many. It's the Sentinel way.

"I'm not sure what I have to say is even helping matters, but you have to stop blaming yourself Horizon," Carmus looks at Spitfire, and from her he looks to the Statues and Memorial, "Velocity was battling with a corrupt spirit ever since Cloudsdale. If he didn't do what he did, he may have turned and struck down the Bearers himself, as much as it pains me to say."

Carmus himself was unable to keep from letting tears escape his eyes as he spoke.

(OOC: I am happy(ish)! I explained somewhat more in depth(not really) Carmus' reason for disobeying Shining's order to pull out, and other stuff!

I am also now entertaining the idea of a thinger going more in depth on the whole Sentinel family origins... hmm)

  11. "Aaah, but Horizon, you are mistaken. That's not the way Jet-Stream operates. Usually, he'd be down here helping us.. If he wasn't spending time with his family right now."

Carmus says, with a slight chuckle.

Shrike shrugs, "I thought I overheard him saying that somewhere. I'm honestly not sure."

Carmus steps over to Horizon and Spitfire, nodding, "You are correct Spitfire. Shimmer experienced this first hoof, and she told me about it the night of.. their death," he clears his throat, "The mask runs off of magical energy stored in it's matrix. It conforms to the wearer's face, takes on their coat colour, their cutie marks, all that. Likewise, it gives them a much better HUD than our helmets provide us. The masks each possessed a unique ability, which drew out of that energy reservoir. When the reservoir is depleted, the mask's ability will automatically shut off, unless the user continues to push it. If the wearer does that, it will seek out the next compatible energy source, the wearer's life force. That's.. That is what happened to Velocity."

Shimmer chuckled, leaning against her recent-fiance, "I'll let him know when he lets me know. If you're not there, I'll be sure to key you in on his reaction."

She sees the group over there stepping over to the masks, and she hears Carmus explaining them. For somepony who'd never worn one, he had gleaned an impressive amount of information.

  12. "Well said." Was Carmus response to Horizon. He chuckled when the stallion commented that he was getting to old for manual labor, "You're getting to old? Tell that to the Commander! He's plenty older than either of us, and he does this kind of stuff regularly!"

"Wasn't he going to be resigning soon?" Shrike said, glancing over at Carmus, who reacted in surprise.

"What?! Why didn't I know about this?!"

Shrike shrugs, "Heck if I know!!"

Shimmer listens to him as he speaks, a knowing smile slowly making itself across her mouth. She takes the rose from him, taking her sweet time looking it over before stepping forward and kissing the stallion for a few seconds. She releases and steps back, chuckling, "Just in case that wasn't proof enough, yes. I would be honored to!"

She glances back at Carmus and Spitfire before whispering to Time, giggling slightly, "Though Carmus might be a bit miffed with you when I tell him. I think he was planning on asking Spitfire the same thing tonight."

  13. Shimmer had been admiring the statue after returning Time's smile. Eight months since the War, and they had only grown closer since then. Her mane and tail had grown slightly longer in the past few months, and this was the first time in a long time that she didn't have to be wearing her armor, or her dress uniform. Quite frankly, it felt good to be in civvies for a change.

She had been admiring the statue when she heardTime speak, saying he needed to ask her a question. Shimmer looked at him curiously, her ear twitching slightly - a habit she'd recently picked gotten into when she was curious about something, "Yes... What is it?"

    (OOC: Civvies: civilian clothes.)

  14. "Yeah, no problem!" Shrike yelled back, somewhat sarcastically as he trotted over, looking up at the wall as well, "Through so much death and sadness, some happiness can still come through. As is the Equestrian way."

Carmus stayed back a few feet, observing the full size of the statues for a few seconds before stepping up to stand alongside them. He sighed, "This'll be a story to tell future generations, that's for sure."

(OOC: dang... That does suck. We need to get Delta (assuming that was his name) back here for a last minute happyfeels moment)

  15. Carmus smiled, nodding to Spitfire, "Mhm. Proceedings for a joint division between Equestria and the Griffon Kingdoms are underway." He nuzzles her ear briefly, "Glad to hear it."

He chuckles, watching Horizon commanding the work crews, returning his salute.

Shrike gave an audible growl at one of the soldiers, a teal stallion who had no problem questioning the sergeant. The other one, a darker blue stallion had seemed to be sucking up to him, which irritated Shrike even more. He gave Carmus a long suffering look, and the Captain chuckled at him.

  16. The stallion in question silently hovered out of the sky above Spitfire, landing gently behind her, and speaking in his normal pitch, startling her a little, "It's finally taking shape."

Was all he said as he stepped forward to stand alongside Spitfire, chuckling as the mare punched his shoulder in retaliation, "Just saw Drisk and his Griffons off. They send their farewells."

Carmus glances over towards Shrike, who himself was struggling to keep his temper in check with two of his squad members. The generally irate sergeant had declined the promotion to Captain, claiming he didn't want to keep track of so many more ponies than he was used to.

Carmus chuckled, looking back to Spitfire and giving her a kiss on the cheek, "How are you feeling?"

(OOC: Aaaand my mind as for what Shimmer and the rest are doing is blanking. Drat.)

  17. The song ended, as did the rain. Carmus smiled as the days of sunlight began to burst forth through the clouds. He nodded solemnly to Horizon as he passed. Carmus would have placed a hoof on his fellow Captain's shoulder (I am assuming Horizon is a Captain, I forget if mentioned that directly. If not, then congratulations Horizon, you've been promoted), had Spitfire not been holding them.

After Horizon and his Squad had left, he looked down to Spitfire, and she gave him a kiss that lasted for a decent period of time. She released him, stating that she would miss them, and that they should get some rest, Jet-Stream having told her about a memorial dinner that evening, "I'll miss them to," Carmus said, following her to the exit, "Come on then.. I think a nap sounds wonderful right now."

Shimmer stayed by the graves, hugging Time, for a few minutes more, before the Griffins began to fill them in. After they did, she released the unicorn and turned to leave, "Let's get going."

As the left and the Griffon soldiers shoveled the loose earth into the graves, the sky continued to clear, the sun's rays catching the water droplets on the leaves and blades of grass, causing the graveyard to gleam.

  18. Shimmer chuckled, poking Time in the ribs, "Ha! Oh, don't worry. I'll be gentle.."

The steel grey mare's eyes widened slightly when Flash mentioned having a crush on her. She might have even blushed a little, but she got over it, laughing quietly along with his chuckling.

Velocity gave them all one last nod before Flash's remark to Time and his sister fully registered to him. He looked over at the pony he considered his best friend with a surprised look, "Wait, what?!" He said in a fake angry tone as the spell finally, wore off.

Carmus wrapped his forelegs around Spitfire and held her close as she let her sorrows out. He was singing softly, an old song from the days of the original Sentinels, a song in honor of those departed. Shimmer listened to him for a bit before joining in, her contralto voice complimenting his baritone. The Raptors and Griffins who were present stayed silent for a time, until eventually the Raptors joined in, followed shortly by the Griffon soldiers.
