  1. Well, mateys, its done! 3D version and all Fluttershy and the Fairycorn Princess - 3D Version the MPO is there too, just click the Nintendo 3DS link
  2. > a bit more touching up > some foreground scenery > properly titled > signed & dated > framed this artwork can officially be labelled as COMPLETED though a the moment I'm having some withdrawal issues about converting it into 3D. Why? Well because I feel it looks damn good as it is. But really...I dunno... I did promise a 3D image and I should deliver as promised. But maybe I should had went for a more simpler approach so I wouldn't feel so burned out just by looking at the image before beginning the proceedure. Maybe this feeling will go away by tomorrow. I'd really like some opinions on the matter if y'all dont mind
  3. Still tinkering around with the artwork here
  4. The image still isnt finished, but here's the fruits of my labor for the day :3 now for a quiz: what could Fluttershy be smiling at? the reveal tomorrow!
  5. currently a work in progress... This is the first of a series of artwork that I'm doing that I'll be converting into a 3D image so you could view it either on a 3DS (or other 3D devices) or through the traditional methods (stereo cross eye vision or the goofy red/cyan 3D glasses) I've posted a thread on Ponychan (here: http://www.ponychan..../res/54417.html) but it hasnt been getting very much attention (I believe because everypony there thinks its strictly 3DS oriented, which it isnt...) Anyway, I figured I'd at least post a thread here and hope for a better prospect from this wonderful community!
  6. Hey, Manestream, thanks for the response Yeah, the project is slow going but the more patience I (or anybody else) has with it, the better it gets! Anyway, as promised I hope to have a 4th demo up and ready early next moth. Here's the most recent screen capture from the project if anypony is interested:
  7. ==old copy/pasta from the Ponychan thread=================================== Story: The Diamond Dogs are at it again! They've kidnapped the main six and have retreated back to their underground abode. Its now up to Spike to venture down into this massive subterranean world where he must explore every nook and cranny, find items (and special gear) to help him on his quest to rescue his friends. But is there more to this story than there seems? Game style: Metroid/Castlevania/Cave Story Pretty much you play as Spike and explore a massive underground world (with a few exterior connections). You collect items (and gear) to help you proceed to hard to get locations. Also as you rescue your pony friends they each help you in certain ways throughout the game (Rainbow Dash could be summoned to transport you to a certain location, Fluttershy's calming magic is needed to calm the dark settings of certain rooms for you to progress, Twilight Sparkle's magic is needed to move certain blocks for platforms, etc, etc) ====================================================================== As a note, the description above is over a month old but the concept remains the same. I've been working hard on this game programing first with Blitz 3D and then I converted the code line by line to Blitz Max which was a full week's project in itself. The project was first unveiled in /collab/ on Ponychan, you can find the thread here: http://www.ponychan.net/chan/collab/res/10544.html and later I started a blog on Blogspot concerning the project: http://spikeqdev.blogspot.com/ and then a twitter account: http://twitter.com/#!/SpikesQuest The project has had two honorable mentions on Equestria Daily which you can find here: http://www.equestriadaily.com/2011/07/g ... quest.html and here: http://www.equestriadaily.com/2011/07/s ... emo-3.html There are a few old test demos that you can play around with though they are severely dated (last test demo was before the code transfer) you can find these demos here: http://spikeqdev.blogspot.com/search/label/Test%20Demos Since the code transfer to BMax, the project has progressed greatly and most of the bugs reported from test demos 2 and 3 have been fixed. The 4th test demo is scheduled for the 7th of next month (September) and I hope to make it worth the wait! - (I'm hoping to make it available for Mac and Linux for that release) By posting this thread I am not trying to find help for this project but rather I hope to generate some interest (I prefer working solo so to avoid pointless team drama). I will be opening up to the brony community later on seeking musical talent for the game by releasing a production package that will include the desired freeware music composing software (orgmaker) and a few other things that will help guide the would be composers with the right mood needed for the music. And also I'm always open for beta testers when the test demos are later released for that purpose Also I should note that I was guided here by NinjaFanpire who kindly suggested that I should come here and request a sub-forum for my project. If I am granted my wish here then I shall put it to good use, making logs of items, enemies, locations and the occasional update about the game's progress. Until that request has been addressed I'll continue to use this thread to post simple updates and other things. For now I need to get to bed. I've gotten to where I hate staying up so late because it effects my production time in all the wrong ways. Let me know what you guys think, and until morning I bid you all good night!
  8. Hey, Canterlot bronies! Thanks for the kind and warm welcomes, this does seem to be such a wonderful little community sorry I haven't been posting much, I've been busy coding on the game project. I'm hoping that by some time tomorrow I'll have something nice to show off. this being my third post in these forums should break the restrictions and I'll be posting up a new thread later concerning Spike's Quest. Stay tuned if your curious enough!
  9. *sees avatar* Happy bouncing Luna is Best Pony.
  10. Greetings, bronybros I am Misterbull from Ponychan. You may know me for the Cave Story Pony Quote picture: http://bellcountycomics.deviantart.com/#/d3g7pb2 Or the work-in-progress game project Spike's Quest: Ponychan Thread: http://www.ponychan.net/chan/collab/res/10544.html Blogger Page: http://spikeqdev.blogspot.com/ Twitter Page: http://twitter.com/#!/SpikesQuest I've been directed to these forums by NinjaFanpire who kindly suggested I post about my project here. Because of the silly system here that requires me to post three times in the introduction forums before gaining access to the other boards I had to make this thread to introduce myself. So on that note, I end this post with a friendly 'Howdy y'all!' and a proper bow and sweep of the hat towards the lovely mares of this glorious community.
