  1. "Oh, sure he can!" Monochrome said, turning to her bird. "He can talk too, but doesn't really know enough words to deliver your whole message, I think. Ivan, I need you to do some mail-delivering, okay?" she added, the first part directed at Windshear rather than Ivan. "Okay." the large bird croaked, looking expectantly at Windshear for the letters.

  2. Marbles ducked to dodge the flying newspaper that hit the window behind her with a thud. The little grey unicorn looked at the newspaper's front page, as something there caught her attention. Her eyes widened and glimmered with excitement as she read on. "Shpace? Shpace?! SHPAAAAAAAAAAAAACE!!!" she exclaimed loudly, her lisp making it all the more adorable. Her friend Mud Pie was great at gardening, surely he could help her win! Marbles quickly rolled up the newspaper and ran it to her mother, where she explained the situation. Her mother laughed and said that Marbles could enter, but any older pony could've seen the glimmer of concern for her daughter in her eyes. And, with that, Marbles rushed off to get Mud Pie. The two little ponies worked in Mud Pie's family's garden all day after they had entered the competition, and it looked rather good for something tended by two ponies barely older than foals. They waited eagerly for the judges to arrive.

  3. The guard turned to escort them out, but found that the mare had already left, and the foal was missing! Meanwhile, she had wandered off while Luna was talking with the guard, and soon found herself within the castle hallways. One of the doors was open a crack, and Marbles could hear somepony inside. Getting close to the door and peeking inside (as any curious foal might do), she saw a tall purple-ish blue mare with a mane of fiery colors, brushing her mane. Marble's leaned closer to get a better look, but tipped over and tumbled through the door with a thud.

  4. ((Yes, IcicleFlash, it is)) Monochrome gave a sheepish grin and accepted the other pony's help to get up. "I, uh, got your letter." Monochrome explained awkwardly. "Although I'm not exactly sure how my talent in art is going to help anything with all this ruins business." She adjusted her red fez and her blue and white striped scarf, which were knocked askew by the crash-landing. "I'm Monochrome. And you are....? Sorry, Ivan decided to steal that scrap of the note. Your name, I mean." she introduced herself, gesturing towards the large ebony bird that was now perched on her back when she mentioned 'Ivan'.

  5. Well, "conditions" aren't normally allowed... Not even something as simple as a lazy eye (I tried to app a char with a lazy eye, but I had to remove that). I think they passed that rule because there are so many people out there with characters that are all like "Oh, he's tots insane and k!lls other ponies", and some "conditions" can get violent, after all. :/ So, okay... Got the personality, but.... Talent? That's a large part of the gala dress, you know.

  6. A silver Pegasus fluttered about inside her home, gathering different art supplies. She tripped over a wrinkle in the rug, and landed with her nose in.... A letter? She brushed her long black mane out of her green eyes as she read the letter. However, before she could read the name of the author of the letter, a raven approached and tore that part off. "Ivan!" the pegasus scolded the large bird as he flew off to tuck the scrap of paper away in his nest. The pegasus slowly got up and opened her door a crack to look outside. Nopony stood out, really, until she noticed the one running off. "Hey!" she called to the mysterious pony, clumsily flying after him/her with the raven, returned from his nest, by her side. She knocked over a basket in a fruit cart and bumped somepony's toupee off of his head before reaching the stranger, but she eventually reached him/her, accidentally landing on him in a paint-splattered tangle.

  7. Marbles froze for a moment, but relaxed as a pretty mare calmly spoke to her. She grinned as the mare spoke of more treasures to be found later, and slowly edged out from under the table after stuffing her things into a blue saddlebag at her side. "Hullo..." she said quietly, keeping closer to the mare in the dress than the guard. She jumped and froze again as the guard bellowed for somepony else. Another guard, a bit shaky looking, walked into the huge room.

  8. Neither of the adult ponies noticed the tiny form peeking out from under a tablecloth-clad table behind them. This little grey unicorn gazed, wide-eyed, at the lavish décor and anything shiny around the room. She had already amassed a small pile of sequins and jewels that had fallen off of various decorations. She blew her fluffy blue and white mane, which curled around her horn, out of her playful green eyes and admired her glimmering pile. But the dust under the table was getting to her. She tried to hold it in, but failed in the end as she released a sneeze that caused her head to hit the bottom of the table, knocking over a few punch glasses that were set on top for later.
