  1. The one with the train looks exactly like a shot from the opening theme with a train added. The train is actually a toy coming out, though I don't recall if it had the Cutie Mark Crusaders. Also Luna looking awesome. Sweet.

I'm considering them fakes, but if they're actual screens I'll be quite happy.

  2. I've got three dogs. One's a black-haired mutt, whose name is Lucy. She's got some spaniel and possibly lab in her somewhere. One is a West Highland Terrier mix named Scamp. He's got pretty short white hair but it can grow out long. And the other is a chocolate lab named Jamie. We didn't actually name the fellow, my uncle was going to get rid of him so we took him in and I've cared for him ever since.

I really like dogs but I can't stand cats. Mainly because they can't stand me. It's a mutual hatred for each other. And I am fine with that. Wouldn't mind owning some fish or a lizard perhaps. Ooh! Or a spider! I'd love a big hairy tarantula. :D

  3. Ooooooh man this is good! Hypnotizing beat and energetic while being somewhat subdued. Seriously, if this track is any indication of your abilities I am so psyched for the full album! :-o

How many tracks you think you'll have in the end? And how long do you expect it to take to complete?

  4. I wouldn't be surprised to see a FiM based game in the next year or so. Likely for the DS (3DS I suppose) or for the Wii. I also wouldn't be surprised if it's horribly unplayable except by patient little girls under the age of eight and highly obsessive bronies. I don't see it as being interesting or engaging at all, at most it would be like the flash games on the FiM site with slightly better production values.

However I could be completely wrong and they could get a great dev team behind it and make a game that will go down in history as being one of the best licensed games in history. Wouldn't that be something? In the mean time I guess we can keep busy with Fighting is Magic and Spike's Quest and the Pony Kart game and the one RPG thing (Equestria Chronicles? Can't remember the name) and all the other games that the fans so willingly make.

  5. I don't know which meme I'm liking so far. Spike as Rainbow Dash? Tom the Rock? Screwball the Derpy 2.0? Big Macintosh the Dog? It's all so delightful. I think the creators may have went all out with the memetastic in this episode. :D

That said I liked the story as well. I've heard complaints it was rushed and elsewhere people have said that the 'friendship defeats evil' message is too cheesy but I enjoyed it. It may have been a bit rushed because there was a lot going on. I could complain... but honestly isn't that a great excuse to watch the episode again? I think probably the only real complaint about it being rushed was how quickly Twilight turned back into her old self. She just reads some letters and 30 seconds later she's playing Jean Grey with everyone's minds. Seriously guys, the ponies are X-Men. How come this hasn't been done yet?

Anyway, it was nice of them not to make Discord good and just restoned him. I liked that part, helped solidify his evilness in my opinion. Discord's just somebody you can't turn good, he's just pure chaos. Nice touch that I'm sure many older fans will appreciate. Just like the almost shot-for-shot parody ending. I am ashamed to say it took me until the second watching to see that. Had me in stitches laughing. Nice one guys, nice.

    Now to wait 2-3 weeks for the next episode. At least there should be plenty of fan works to keep us occupied. ;-;

  6. I remember looking at my local dollar store (I think it was a Dollar General) but they didn't have anything except a G4 Coloring book or two. I'd like to find the stickers or figs if they have any. I'll have to try to get over to the local Dollar Tree to see what they have, I didn't think about them carrying MLP swag.

  7. Jebediah sat at his table and watched the new ponies from the corner of his eye. He wondered if they lived in Ponyville or not... perhaps they would come over and talk to him. A smile tugged at the corner of his mouth as the pony called Neon Pop pointed in his direction. He went back to his menu as they took a table nearby. "Well this isn't so bad," Jebediah thought to himself, "so it's raining outside. It's warm in here and there's others I can talk to. Now to get some food..." He grimaced slightly as his stomach let out a loud rumble that he was sure everyone in the place could hear. Thankfully the other two seemed to be busy looking at their own menus.

He thought it was about time to order something when the proprietor of the establishment, Honeycomb, suddenly popped up next to him and asked, "Have you decided on anything to eat yet? If not, may I recomend the Black and Blue Honey Mix? Its one of my best sellers." Jebediah blinked and scrunched an eyebrow. Black and blue? That didn't sound very appealing. Or safe. Images of being stung by hordes of bees filled his head. It wasn't a pretty picture at all.

"Um..." Jebediah replied nervously, "I don't know... What exactly uh, is the Black and Blue Honey Mix?" Suddenly eating some leftover fruitcake didn't sound like such a bad idea.

  8. I don't really like Steven Moffats run on Doctor Who, mainly because for me is a textbook example for a Mary Sue, and I can't stand her. Which is a shame because I do like 11th Doctor, and Rory, a lot. I'm ok with how he wrapped up River Song's backstory, but judging from the end of the God Complex

it doesnt look like we will get a good explanation why Amy is able to wish the universe back into existence.

Then again, I swallowed quite a lot of dumb plot points in RTD's run of Doctor Who, so I guess I shouldn't be overly critical about this now. I most likely feel different about it because the tenth Doctor was my first exposure to Doctor Who.

Or because David Tennant is just so dreamy.

Moffat's Doctor isn't a Mary Sue. I'd honestly call him a God Sue. That was one thing about the 10th Doctor that was so enjoyable. He was built up as this great hero, this god among men before they systematically broke him down and he 'died' alone and scared.

Still, I really like the 11th Doctor because he's a very fun Doctor. He's not nearly as serious as Tennant was. Smith really adds something to the role that hasn't been seen in the Doctor for decades.

Also, River Song's story isn't wrapped up yet. If you look on the BBC website there's still another episode with her. I certainly hope that episode shall be her final, because I'm quite tired of 'The Adventures of River Song Being More Awesome Than the Doctor'. That said last week's episode was fantastic. I was really bummed with Amy and Rory being put on the bus but I'm sure they'll return shortly. It'll be nice to take a break from them for a bit, even if they are some of my favorite companions.

Doctor Who is one of those things I really should be enjoying right now' date=' so swears all the sci-fi nuts I work with. Watching half of one episode and a little special on the monsters only cemented things. But wow, so much series. [/quote']

I recommend starting with the new series at the ninth Doctor. It's probably the best jumping on point for new fans (it's where I started) since it's sort've a reboot/continuation of the old serials and movies. Though you'll definitely have to check out Tom Baker (4th Doctor) at some time.

  9. See, I'd be all over one of those plushes if I had the money. A Luna or Applejack plush? Just take my money right now! Unfortunately I don't have the money to spend on something like that so I just end up being extremely jealous of everyone else. :P
