  1. So could I, I'm confident...

I really do get where JCtheBrony is coming from though. If you take a step back you can get some enjoyment out of it as a so bad it's good unintentional comedy. You know, laughing not at the jokes themselves, but instead at how impossibly terrible they are. And if you can't do that, you can always get the Rifftrax track for the film and have professionals mock the film for you. It can be quite the enjoyable film watching experience.

Still, even viewing it like that, it's not the most enjoyable Batman film in my book.

Yeah. It's like the same reason you watch MST3K. It's so bad it's hilarious.

But no, I think the best good Batman film is Batman Returns with Penguin and Catwoman. It was a very dark, weird film and I really liked the take they did on the villains. Batman's character was better established from the previous film and the Christmas backdrop adds to the whole ambiance. Very enjoyable movie.

  2. Nopony's recommended the brony artist DJ Alex S? That guy's a friggin' musical genius.

'Real' artists... let's see. I could recommend a ton of 80s metal/rock/pop artists. Def Leppard, Led Zeppelin, Warrant, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith (okay, that one's more seventies), Billy Joel, Twisted Sister, KISS, Iron Maiden, Europe, Journey, Guns n' Roses, etc. Also get some good golden oldies. The Beatles, the Beach Boys, Johnny Cash, Three Dog Night, the Monkees, Jefferson Airplane and the like.

  3. So, I wrote this before joining the site and I thought about posting it for awhile here because I really doubt a lot of people will be interested in it. This is a crossover fanfiction between two franchises I follow closely, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and Archie's Sonic the Hedgehog. I tried to get it on Equestria Daily but apparently the fanfic guys there didn't like Sonic so it was refused. I'm not sure if all bronies are so rage-filled but I thought, what the hay I'll post it and see what happens.

MLH: FiA Episode 1:Our Story Begins ~First chapter, scant on the ponies. Sonic and friends go to destroy Eggman, end up in Equestria.

MLH: FiA Episode 2: The Story is Still Beginning ~ Second chapter, continuation of the first. Everyone is a pony and... pony stuff happens.

MLH: FiA Episode 3: Aaaaaadventure Time! ~ Sonic and Fluttershy go on an adventure in the Everfree Forest. Weird stuff happens.

MLH: FiA Episode 4: Canterlot Castle Crashers ~Twilight takes her new friends to Canterlot to meet Celestia. Castle stuff happens.

MLH:FiA Episode 5: Pinkie Pie Style! ~Eggman Eggpony kidnaps Pinkie Pie. Pinkie Pie stuff happens.

You might notice the 'episode' thing I've got going there. That's because I'm actually trying to write this in a format that would be as close to the show as possible. Hence the two-parter opener and the standalone following stories. My stories so far have been more adventure-themed than slice of life though... I shall rectify that in future installments.

So yeah, give it a shot if you like or got some spare time. I've converted some Sonic fans into bronies through this, so even if you don't like Sonic try it. Also, critique! Even if it's harsh it helps me become a better writer, so it's something I strive for. So enjoy!

  4. Okie dokie! Updated the character summary with a bit more fleshed-out personality. I don't really want to add too much more to the character because I want to give him a chance to grow in RPs. So for the most part this is probably a finished app unless I think of something he absolutely needs to have.

  5. It was raining all day yesterday but today it's wonderfully cool and breezy. I have to say fall is my favorite season. I can't stand the hot, sticky weather of summer but fall? It's crisp and cool. I love the mornings you can go outside and see your breath hanging in the air but you still don't have to bundle up in big heavy coats. And of course the running changing of the leaves is really nice since I'm surrounded by big, forested mountains everywhere.

  6. dude, try toys'r'us. they got quite a handfull of pony toys.

and considering season 2 is on its way they might boast up stock...

also if not try hasbro's online store, im pretty sure they might sell them.

Closest Toys R Us is close to an hour away. So yeah, kinda expensive on the gas and what-not.

They do have the collectible Blind Bag pony set at their online store though. I plan on spending some money on that soon. :D

  7. From ages 8-12 she was on rollerskates more than that cat from Cats and Co (the junkyard cats from the Heathcliff cartoon)

Wordsworth I think? Man, the Catillac cats were awesome. :D

But anyway, my childhood... it was odd I guess? I was a pretty sheltered kid until I was about six or seven, when I became a really sheltered kid until I was about 13-14. Really wasn't a bad childhood but I missed out on a lot of fads and cool things. I was the kid you would see wearing button shirts and slacks, his nose deep in a book. Or maybe with a pair of coveralls, out wading in the creek behind the barn. Or fidgeting on that extremely hard church pew for hours on end. @_@

Though back when I was six I liked, no, loved things like Toy Story, Winnie the Pooh, anything with dinosaurs and really anything Disney. Granted, I still like most of those today but yeah, those were my likes. Strangely enough I actually disliked Power Rangers. I know most kids then were all "Power Rangers are totally rad bro!" but I couldn't get into it. Thought it was too silly I guess. :P

  8. Hmmm, the past few responses brought another thought to mind. How long could a griffon live on a diet that would keep ponies from freaking out before they have to head off on a hunting trip or go fishing? I have to wonder if they are cat enough to go blind without any of that specific protein in their diet...

Considering griffins in mythology would eat horses?

    How indeed.

  9. I think Brony is like the word dude... It's generally a masculine term, but it can be used in context to girls as well.

Yeah, I think at first brony referred to guys who watched the show, then girls... then anyone outside of the expected age group. I have to admit though, 'pegasis' sounds pretty cool.

@KirbyKrackle: Congrats dude, sounds like she somewhat enjoys the show! At least she's willing to try it out, unlike the majority of people I know.

  10. Another thing I noticed, no one's touched on the dog food aspect of this Topic. That is something I would really like to know. I mean, my dog likes a veggie or two, mainly broccoli but I don't give him too much of it, but I know I couldn't keep him fed on veggies alone. Heck, if I tried he'd probably just break into my fridge first chance he got and eat all the hot dog weenies (He does love his hot dogs). And plus, I don't think there is any kind of dog food on the market right now that does not contain some form of meat or meat by product. I can't help think that trying to steer a dog towards a vegetarian lifestyle would end in the same result as the decrepit looking lion in that one Futurama episode.

    Suggestions? :?:

Well, if you remember, Spike explicitly said owls eat mice. By extension, cats would eat mice. So by extending the extension, I would think the dogs would catch wild game perhaps? Mice, birds, you know. Small sort of creatures that would need to be eaten to keep from overpopulation.

And that is why Winona was never invited to Fluttershy's house.
