  1. I'm not too much of an anime fan but I enjoy a couple here and there. Sgt. Frog is a fun little show that I've only seen the first season of from Funimation. I like One Piece but it's almost impossible to keep up with (I'm waaay behind on that) and I just recently got into Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

And of course the anime to top all anime, Gurren Lagann. :20:

  2. More information from EqD! This time it's from a background voice actor who had a tumblr where he answered various questions by fans. SOME DO SPOIL EXPECTATIONS OF SEASON 2. NOT ACTUAL EPISODE CONTENT BUT REAPPEARING CHARACTERS DEFINITELY! Again, take with a grain of salt as well.

Spoiler and no hyperlink once again, just in case.

I'm pretty sure this info was deconfirmed as a hoax.

But you know what I want from the new season? An extended fight scene with the bad guy. Last time we basically had 'TASTE THE RAINBOW' and that was it. This time I actually want to see some fighting, even if it's just a minute or two's worth against Discord. He doesn't even have to be a reoccurring villain or anything.

  3. You must not be listening to the right modern metal then. Nightwish, Within Temptation, Ayreon, and Sonata Arctica come to mind. A good chunk of what I listen to is metal of various kinds, and I don't generally like the deathmetal growling myself, I prefer actual singing. Most of the time, at least. I also listen to a decent selection of almost everything else.

That's why I said a lot of it and not all of it. :) There are a handful of modern metal bands I like (mostly because I have a friend who's really into the stuff and always tries to find metal bands that I'll actually like, to varying results). For instance, I've heard Ayreon and Sonata Arctica before, and thought they were pretty cool. I think I'll give those others a listen and see if they work for me too. :smirk:

I was just generalizing, as I've heard a lot more modern metal that I did not like than I did.

I'd recommend Skiltron too. An Argentinian Celtic Metal band I just discovered. They rock the bagpipes. :D

  4. I've been suffering from insomnia recently, I just lie in bed and have a bajillion thoughts tumble through my head. I try to focus by plugging in my MP3 and listening to quiet songs until I fall asleep. If I'm working on a story I can plan out the next chapter in my head; I always get my best ideas when I'm half asleep. :)

If all else fails I just take some Tylenol PM and conk out.

  5. I'd say average, she lookes like she's about 3/4 the size of the standard Pinkie Pie toy

I think she's 8cm from the tip of the hoof holding the snowflake to the tip of her tail and 7cm from her hooves to the top of her hair

Ah, that's a perfect size! I probably won't be able to find it until Christmas time nears since we don't have any special American Greetings stores in the area. Hopefully it'll pop up at Target or one of the local dollar stores so I can snatch it up.

  6. Nice to see other Dr. Who fans here! I'm quite excited for for the new episode to premiere, this is the first time I can watch the show along with everyone else since I'm now caught up on the new series.

Fave animated show... that still comes on TV... would be Phineas and Ferb. Very good cartoon, I'm going to assume everyone has at least heard of the show. Excellent music, decent animation, smart and witty writing and not afraid to parody itself. Haven't seen the movie yet but I'm excited for it.

There's a lot of shows that don't come on any more that I enjoy watching; I've got a plethora of 90s cartoons like Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, Ducktales, Rescue Rangers, and the like. I was also a big fan of Lost, that was probably the show that I obsessed with the most until the rage-inducing finale. :)

  7. Hmm, I hide it from some people. My extended family has no clue of my broniness. I got my little brother and sister to watch the show so I don't have to hide it from them (they love it by the way). My Mom... I don't hide it from her but she doesn't really like it. I suppose she thinks it's like the show she watched as a little girl, so she she thinks it's weird a guy my age would like it. My internet friends, don't hide it from them but they probably wish I would. Don't really talk about MLP to them because they don't like it. So I've been looking for some fellow bronies to talk to and found this place!

  8. Hey everypony, new brony here! New to the forum anyway, been a brony for a couple months now. So uh, guess I'm supposed to post a bit about myself?

Let's see, I'm a bit nerdy I suppose. Like to play video games and read comics in my spare time. Bit of a film nut. Favorite franchises include Nintendo, Sonic the Hedgehog, Dr. Who, Disney and of course My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic! I don't have an artistic bone in my body so I end up writing fanfics and the occasional fancomic. Doesn't stop me from appreciating everyone else's art though. I also love music, just about any kind. Seriously, country, techno, showtunes, rock, metal, pop, 8-bit, disco... so on and so on.

I was initially very against the whole bronydom, I couldn't really understand the love for pastel equine creatures. I swore I'd never give in and watch the show, but after listening to some kickin' fan remixes (like Super Ponybeat) I tentatively gave the show a shot. After watching the first episode I watched the next... and the next... and the next. So yeah, I obviously got hooked, else I wouldn't be here today right?

So, I look forward to joining this new community and promise to follow all the rules and be a good member and all that. So thanks for reading!
