I didn't say no conflict; what I want to avoid is turning the FiM universe into our world of huge standing armies, mechanized warfare, and world of constant conflict; may as well make them humans at that point.

true enough, personally i wouldn't want that at all. the way i see it is the way we use and associate tanks could be completely different then what they could to use as it. IE they could say tanks are used for transportation of valuables like jewels and such, but either way its all fanon and speculation.

Tank as a term is actually older than the mobile armored vehicle. Also concepts for such vehicles did exist before the first tanks of WWI, some concepts as far back as the 17th century (all pretty impractical). It is easy to have the term without having armored war machines running around. The history of bullets (a word also used) predates firearms (bullets were metallic or stone balls used in a sling). Bullet is based on boulette which roughly means little ball which represented the lead balls of culverins and matchlocks. Even conical bullets first appeared as early as 1823. In short just because these terms are used doesn't suddenly mean Equestria is full of battle tanks and heavy machine guns (really in the kind of world FiM is supposed to be, would you want stuff so contrary to that theme, such as huge mechanized arms of war. to be used willy-nilly?)

you have a point but if equestria was without conflict why would celestia have royal guards? as the way i see it equestria would probably consider armored wagons as tanks, of course that's just my guess seeing how the rest of the world has seemingly 19th century technology made for ponies and magic.

yeah the article said that the rock passed us 85% of the distance to the moon which i thought was cool. also I would imagine this thing was going fast since it was detected on the 4th and reached its closest point 4 days later (that is if NASA's asteroid detection has a far reach)

i just had a brilliant idea what if trollestia and discord were the ones who banished luna to the moon but cursed her as nightmare moon in order to do so. then trollestia turns around and stones discord haha.

motocross anyone? i dont really fallow any major sports but i like to play intermural sports like flag football and soccer, (didnt have time to play varsity at university due to ROTC) but yeah lol

haha well firstly i suppose i could reveal some of my identity for all ya pony folk haha, well im 21 have 3 years of college under my belt, but im going into the army in the fall due to ROTC complications. umm i have about a million interests from riding dirt bikes to anime and anything in between. im a so cal resident and a easy going person.

as far as the cast i like them all but twilight is my favorite of the mane cast. I have a respect for those who are smart and can apply themselves to find a solution to any problem. but i also am a luna fan mostly because she is freaking adorable. and i like the fan art and have actually busted into a few fan fics.
