Since the My little pony Friendship is Magic started and since Rarity is a fashion designer I wonder what kind of clothes do the ponies wear and for what reasons. I opened this topic here because I wonder how it generally in in Equestria and in the FIM's world not just in the show.

What do you think do ponies wear clothes for keepthem warm in winter and pretty for being pretty in balls?

In the the show only two reasons appeared yet but I belive they may wear swimsuit when they go to beach or swim.

That's a good question! We know that they wear saddles, scarves, and boots, as well as dresses. At one point in Ticket Master, Twilight's dressed up as a clown in some kind of green bodysuit!

Well she wore different clothes in the very first episode too afther she met first with Rarity and sje even told to Spike to leave before Rarity decide to change her color.

the Cutie Mark Crusaders are swimming in the lake and they don't wear any swimsuit, too bad because they would looks cute in one.

It's true to ponies were able to see wearing swimsuit on coloring pages and in MLP Magazines
