She has lost much over the years and does not have a reliable source of energy for her people to feed off of. Changelings feed off of love(except for the evolvers who may feed off of other things), which was provided by the Crystal Empire with ease before it fell the first time. She is looking for peace among the ponies of Equestria so that her people will not starve.Princess Mi Amore Candenze, or Cadence is the niece of Princess Luna and Princess Celestia who is the current ruler of the Crystal Empire who is looking for more stability in her nation's defenses and needs to get everything in orderCelestia is one of the two rulers of Equestria who raises the sun in the morning and oversees all daytime duties that are needed to be performed. Equestria stands on it's own without a problem and has close relations with the Crystal EmpireLuna is one of the rulers of Equestria who raises the moon at night and takes part in nighttime duties as well as stepping in when her older sister Celestia is away on official duties or vacationsTwilight Sparkle is the newly crowned Princess who is an element of harmony (magic). She studied under Princess Celestia since she was a little fillyPinkie Pie, the gypsy pony, is a hyperactive pink ball of fuzz that never stops bouncing that is also an element of harmony (also played by Princess Star to satisfy her short attention span)Princess Star Dancer is an alicorn foal that was taken in by the two rulers of Equestria as a foal. She is still a young filly but often tries to use her charm (part of the reason she was taken in) to persuade others.
