[colour=#000000]Job: He is a flight instructor, his primary job is teaching young pegasus ponies and training adult ponies in advanced flight, however he also teaches both blimp and balloon flight to all types of ponies and other species.[/colour]

[colour=#000000]Cutie Mark: his cutie mark is two quills stylized to look like wings quills for the aspect of teaching, and wings for his love of flight He earned his cutie mark at a flying academy as a colt. [/colour]While training with his classmates he would often see minor acidents, initially he thought it was just the fact everypony was young, but as he grew older he saw that they were not becoming better flyers, One day he was laying on a cloud watching a group of his classmates do formation training when a large gust of wind blew up due to another class doing weather training, as the wind struck his classmates he saw them all lose control, many of them colliding into each other, while there were no serious injuries, jetstream was still furious, he approached the formation leader and demanded to know why he didn't call the rest of the wing to spread out until they were through the gust, the reply he received was "it's a little breeze, I thought we could handle it." Now even more incensed Jetstream starts lecturing the team on how turbulence can cause a loss of control and accidents, how uneven lift can cause uncontrollable rotation, how a formation group should always think about the environment before the formation itself. As the young pegasi sat, rather ashamedly before him, with Jetstream explaining aerodynamics, unbeknownst to him, his cutie mark appeared. It was about 15 minutes later before another pony stammered that maybe he should look at his flank. On realising what had happened, he quickly said, "be careful ok?" And ran off to write an excited letter to his parents. From then on, if any of his schoolmates were having trouble, they new exactly who to speak to.

[colour=#000000]History: Into flight from a young age Jetstream wished to be a wonderbolt, to be the best flyer in all of Equestria, he would go to airshows in his hometown of Las Pegasus with his parents, afterwards mimicking the moves he saw the stuntponies pull and trying to get his school friends to be wingponies for him. He is an only child, with very loving parents who always wanted to support his dreams of flight, they enrolled him into the best flight academy they could find. He studied at the flight academy from a young age earning his cutie mark while there.[/colour]

[colour=#000000]From there he travelled Equestria studying flight and aviation in general, becoming a qualified balloon and blimp pilot as well as a rather accomplished flyer. His first teaching job was in Cloudsdale, teaching first time flyers how to assist with the rainwater collection for the weather factory and how to clear clouds amongst other weather dut.[/colour]

[colour=#000000]After a few years teaching in Cloudsdale, he moved to Canterlot and opened his own school where he now teaches young ponies how to fly and helps train older ponies how to fly better.[/colour]

[colour=#000000]Character summary: He is a very patient pony, as to be expected by a teacher, however he can be very strict due to the inherent dangers of flight. He is generally quite a happy pony and will go out of his way to help someone he sees struggling. He spends a lot of time thinking about flight and will occasionally forget what he was saying in the middle of a conversation to remark on something in the sky. He enjoys meeting everypony who comes through his doors and will try his best to teach them all he can. [/colour]

[colour=#000000]He enjoys flight in general and has a season pass to all wonderbolt events where you will quite often see him on the front row cheering them on. He enjoys seeing his students succeed and when a pony has completed studies with him they are rewarded with a flight certificate and their photo is hung up on the walls of his school. As you can imagine, there are already quite a few photographs. [/colour]

[colour=#000000]He dislikes any cavalier attitude towards flight and will quite often ground ponies who are flying dangerously or without care for others, this flows into his personal life where he is a rather large advocate for more official regulation of aviation. [/colour]

[colour=#000000]His greatest fear is one of his students being hurt in a flying accident, it happened once before when he was younger, in a tornado practice session, a young filly spun out in the tornado and hit the ground rather hard. when he saw the accident, he immediately rushed over and carried the filly who had sprained her wing to the hospital himself. He dreams of having the best flight school in Equestria, to train the best flyers, the wonderbolts, and to have a safer Equestria. His school is a large sponsor of the best young flyer competition and he has been known to take several ponies who he has seen as promising under his wing, and give them a full scholarship to his school. He is known to travel to Las Pegasus regularly for flight events which he will go to with his parents[/colour].

Attatched is a (admittedly rather unfinished) sketch of Jetstream. I will be actually finishing this and other sketches at some point in the near future.

Just a few teensy tweaks needed for WoE. Occupation and residence go before history and cutie mark (though I see why you put them after - it's just that Phil is overly dedicated to his app form ).

Also, could you expand on the cutie mark story just a little bit more? Without going into the realms of tragedy or serious injury, was there anything specific (maybe a near-miss?) that Jet Stream witnessed or was a part of that made him so passionate about safety? The cutie mark story should be a bit longer and more detailed, as earning one's cutie mark is one of the most important moments in a pony's life. Could you try to write it so that it reflects that by adding some more vivid detail and emotion into the story?

Ok, so I've sorted out the ordering of topics and expanded upon his cutie mark story as per your suggestion Jane, I hope this is better! Also, me too! Maybe with less wild flailing though, I'm afraid it may become a habit at this rate.

If you need other aeronautical names I'm quite happy to provide, off the top of my head: Coriolis, Aileron, Venturi, Propwash, Laminar (or Laminar Flow), Vortex Sheet, Slip Stream, Wind Shear, Anabatic Winds, and any of a dozen cloud formations. My favourite in that list is Coriolis though, sounds kinda fancy.
