Mane/Tail: Grey and billowy like a storm cloud, with blue streaks like lightning.

Physique: Lean and muscular, no scars or distinguishing marks.

 

Residence: Ponyville

 

Occupation: Lightning redirector. Basically, controlling the path of lightning bolts during storms to avoid collateral damage to the town.

Cutie Mark: a crisscrossing pattern of lightning bolts. The story behind it is rather interesting, even by the usual cutie mark standards. One day, a classmate in Flyer School dared him to fly into a thunderstorm. Little did he know that the young colt decided to follow him into the billowing dark clouds. It wasn't until he was deep in the clouds that he noticed his pursuer and the lightning bolt that was headed right for him. Without a thought for his own safety, he leaped in the way. To both of their surprise, the lightning struck Blitz in the wing and flew back into the clouds without harming him. As the light from the bolt faded, Blitz was shocked to see his new Cutie Mark. Pun intended.

 

Unique Traits: near-sonic flying speed and lightning redirection utilizing his outstretched wings and a rubber flying suit similar to the Thundercolts to avoid damage to his body. The residual static left over causes a low-voltage streak of lightning behind him in flight, too weak to really hurt anyone.

 

History: Raised in Cloudsdale, Blitz was a bit of a risk taker and a natural born flyer. Naturally, he was not that popular with his teachers but a huge hit with the other young fillies and colts. He was called out by his instructors multiple times for various pranks he would pull. One of the more dangerous pranks was when he redirected some static in the air to zap the flying instructor in the flank. Granted, the instructor was being unduly harsh on one of his classmates who was having some trouble, but still, it was a rather strong charge. He was always one of the best at his schoolwork, however, a prodigy when it came to flying especially. After graduating at the top of his class, he wandered around for a while and eventually mellowed out shortly after moving to Ponyville and getting a job as the redirector of electricity during storms. Nobody knows why he mellowed out, though a lot of ponies speculate a combination of age and the peaceful atmosphere of Ponyville may be to blame.

 

Character Personality: While Blitz has mellowed out a bit with age, he still delights in pranking other ponies.He is fiercely loyal and reliable, which coupled with his strong sense of justice causes him to leap into altercations in an attempt to break it up. He is very sociable and competitive as well, never backing down from a challenge or dare. He draws the line at anything wrong, though, such as bullying.

Character Summary: All in all, Blitz has a fun personality. Despite being active, he has been known to kick back and play the guitar. He hopes to eventually start a band but is still getting around to it.

Hmmmm, some feedback:

1. I'm not quite sure that pegasi would be able to manipulate electricity as described in this app. Maybe it'd be possible to redirect lightning using certain stances (ala Avatar: The Last Airbender), but a pegasus body sending out electrical impulses at will is definitely out of the question. BTW, we usually just use "magical energy" as a hand waive for how certain electrical devices from reality work in a land that doesn't rely on electric power
2. I also recommend changing Blitz's full name. "Blitzkrieg" (ie. "lightning war") sounds like a name for a Nazi pony; you don't want RPers thinking your OC is a Nazi, do you?

Overall, this app is off to a good start. Just needs some adjustments!

thanks for the input. was originally just going to go with Blitz but felt two names is better than one, and Kreig was the only other name that came to mind. time to hit up google translate and then adjust the app

Hello, friendly neighborhood RP helper called in for a second look!

 

I like the character concept here; does he just use his body for re-directing lightning, or does he have metal on him to do it more precisely?  I'd also like to see the history fleshed out a little more; maybe tell us about one or two times he got into trouble, and what caused him to mellow out?
