I've created a top ten list. And it was difficult, so very difficult. But I've picked and you can't stop me! This is in no way a list of best songs, that might be impossible. It's just a list of awesome music videos.

10. This Charming Man- The Smiths

Morrissey at his most coy. It's so engrossing to watch him prance around in flowers and feathers and heaps of clothes. Somehow I imagine that's what his house looks like too. The whole band gets really into character and they appear to be the utmost charming men.

9. Like a Surgeon- Weird Al Yankovic

Man, this video is filled with so many random goodies and is a perfect style parody of Madonna's 80s videos. If you don't laugh, or at least smile, you may not be human. His "sexy" faces in this are priceless. I love Weird Al's parody videos, I think at least one deserved to be on here. I also love how the heart-rate monitor lives just for the song and then his patient dies again.

8. In Bloom- Nirvana

Kurt Cobain had a notoriously awesome sense of humour. It definitely shows in this video. Here he takes a dark, gritty song about abuse and turns it into something so incredibly light and fluffy it's hard to bear. He's clearly doing a parody on the Beatles first Ed Sullivan show appearance, which I admire as a Beatles AND Nirvana lover. It cracks me up every time and then leaves me awestruck.

7. The Beautiful People- Marilyn Manson

This made me pee my pants as a kid. It still scares my best friend silly, actually. I personally really admire it. Marilyn Manson knew that kleptomania and stalkers are big fears among a those beautiful fans of his. So he created a truly terrifying music video to chill you to the bone. It's so much fun, and it's got a lot of neat artistry.

6. We're Not Gonna Take It- Twisted Sister

Man, this video is fun, crazy, and rockin'. Totally 80s and totally entertaining. Who doesn't wanna rock? It tells the story of an oppressed teenager (ha, weren't we all?) and it will definitely put a smile on your face.

5. Sledge Hammer- Peter Gabriel

It's creative, it's funky, and it's totally Peter Gabriel's steeple! Admit it, you love this groovy little tune. And it's music video earns an A+ for creativity!

4. Virtual Insanity- Jamiroquai

This is just insane. A giant rotating set and lots of super neat dancing. Rumour says it was done in one take. I'm not sure I can even believe it. All I know for sure is that I really, really want his hat.

3. Suffer Well- Depeche Mode

Let me confirm one fact you should all know...Depeche Mode music videos are freaking fantastic. This one, however goes on step beyond. It's personal. They turn the simple act of walking down the street into lead singer Dave Gahan's tragic life story. His bad relationships, his trials with drugs, and the near death experience in which he was saved by an angel- his wife's voice calling him back to life. It also shows you an alternative life, where he continued down the wrong path. It's incredibly deep and very beautiful.

2. Can't Stop- the Red Hot Chili Peppers

I could have filled this whole list with just Chili Peppers. Their music videos rock. This is the first slap song I learned on my electric bass. This video is insane, and it made the thumb blisters worthwhile. You see all kinds of hi-jinks and tomfoolery by everyones favorite funky goofballs. These shirtless fellows basically complete my entire bucket list in one video, which is pretty insane.

1. Goodbye Blue Sky- Pink Floyd

I suppose this is more a scene in a movie, but it's still absolutely gorgeous. Gerald Scarfe is my favorite artist/animator of all time and his work here is sensational and touching. Truly an experience. If you haven't watched The Wall, I suggest you give it a try. Unless you're under 16, it may be a bit too much. Still, it's possibly my all time favorite film and it contains my all-time favorite video.

Forever strange,
