Okay so first off I'd like to say that I do not own the show, and this is my personal thoughts. Okay so first off spoilers if you are one of those bronies that haven't seen the pilot and is panning to then leave now. With that out of the way here is the deal so first the story, so it starts storybook style with the explanation on how Equestria was made. They did fairly well, you know on giving it a good story. When the story book is over it shows Twilight Sparkle the lavender unicorn puzzled by the use of the Mare in the Moon, it sounded fairly recognizable to her. She then rushes to the house, which I'd expect was given to her by the princess. After she gets stopped by three ponies offering her a invitation to a random pony's birthday in which she declines. It made me think does Twilight Sparkle have trouble talking to others? Or is she just one of those adults who's only friend is their mentor. Think about it, she has no friends aside from her basically slave Spike and where did she get him? From the princess of course, she got him when she was only a foal. So soon she sends a letter which warned the princess of the sun about Nightmare moon or Mare in the Moon if you'd prefer, so as soon as she sends the letter through some questionable mail transport, Spike. She then gets a letter from the princess requesting (Forcing) her to make friends with the letter. If this wasn't a kid's show it would've read. "Dearest Twilight, I understand you are old enough to do adult things, however you have no friends, and I also know that you are too old to not have friends, so I am forcing you to go make friends, your teacher Princess Celestia." So then the next scene after the whole commercial break is Twilight and Spike on a carriage driven by two Pegasi guards. Spike starts to read the whole letter telling her to make friends. To be honest I see where everyone gets the whole Trollestia thing, still can't understand other ones (Not going into detail) I found when I first watched this episode to be kid of bland personalities. Let me explain, when I found Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Rarity, I found their personalities were to be expected other then Rainbow Dash, the name Rarity sounds like a diva, top that with being a fashion designer, Fluttershy I immediately depicted her as the shy one, Pinkie Pie well, when I saw her I got her name with a snap of my fingers. Applejack which I got references out of (The cereal) that name was the only one that actually made me giggle before I started to like the show. Rainbow Dash well, I wasn't sure what to think with that name, heck for a while I thought Rainbow Dash was a stallion. So they go to the Everfree Forest after the Mare in the Moon arrives so they can use the elements of Harmony, so they have troubles with a Manticore, a which Fluttershy shows kindness to, they also had trouble with a diva water dragon, in which Rarity cuts her tail off to help him, then Rainbow Dash had to choose to join the Shadowbolts a group that is just like the Wonderbolts her idols, in which she declined, Pinkie Pie then made Twilight realize she should laugh at the creepy or spooky monsters when trees started to look evil. When they finally gotten to the place they needed to go Nightmare Moon appeared and crushed the Elements of Harmony, that's when Twilight Sparkle realized the elements are inside her new friends. Pinkie Pie being laughter, Applejack is honesty, after she told Twilight to let go and fall off a cliff in which she promised she would be okay, Rainbow Dash is loyalty for declining her offer to join the Shadowbolts, Rarity generosity which I don't really understand but because she cut her tail off to help the water dragon with his cut mustache got her that element, and Fluttershy was kindness because of her kindness to the Manticore, and Twilight is the seventh element of magic for some unknown reason, . So after Nightmare Moon is engulfed by the seven elements (Which also entered the famous "Taste the rainbow mother bucker.) We realize that Nightmare Moon is back to her old self, the princess of the night, who's name is Princess Luna (Luna is Spanish, and various other languages.) We see her old Luna self is great, so when Celestia asks if Twilight is happy about coming back to Canterlot she admits, well, she admits she's kind of sad to leave, to ease the pain and make her student happy Celestia assigns her to send her a letter about friendship. Overall I liked it. After some time I noticed some settle things, so creative yes personalities original not too much. So with the creativity that Faust put into it amazed me, at that moment I didn't know that Faust was the writer of Power puff girls, and other shows. She by the way to me broke a stereotype of ponies are only for girls. The creativity I would have to give an A- still there were some corks, like them telling everything they are doing. The personalities gets a B Overall I give this episode a solid A. Remember I do not own My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, and also this is my opinion maybe you have a different speculation.
