Paper. The plastic is a sheet - I just put it in a portfolio and then take the picture.

I like it! though I do have to say, it would be hard shading with markers ^^;

One way to get subtle shading with copics is to lay the same color again on the areas you want slightly darker, which works with Copic Sketch markers. For darker shades, what works will is to lay the complementary color over the original, as they are on the opposite sides of the color wheel, the area will be darker and less saturated.
