Penny sat back and watched as the band began to start rehearsing. They were good and enthusiastic but they needed performances. Other ponies needed to hear this music as she was compelled to help them one day when she heard them play once in a bar. There weren't many members like this back then but she knew that this band would definitely make it somewhere someday. Leaving the clutter of paper on the table she was with, she stopped to watch the band as she hovered right over to them.

"Pretend that I'm your audience." She said playfully as she sat down on the couch in front of the band. "And make it like a real live show."

After listening to Lore's speech, she shook his hoof in appreciation and like the politician that she is, shook the hoof of every other pony present. She mingled and chatted with the ponyfolk as more onlookers decided to come into the store. She acted like and usher as she greeted the newcomers telling them how small businesses like these were the building blocks of Ponyville. It wasn't long when the Mayor decided to check out some books herself and perhaps purchase a few. Aside from picking up a few books that contained light stories, she decided to purchase one of those Daring Do books that a lot of ponies were talking about and see what the fuss was all about.

It wasn't long until she bumped into Ice Storm.

"Well hello there Ice." She said while scanning through a few books. "How goes your own business? Doing good perhaps?"

Late to the game. Lol my IRL friends got me Diablo 3 so I can play with them rofl.

Add me up! I'm on the US Server, currently with a level 45 Demon Hunter on nightmare mode and a level 20 Wizard on normal mode.

Well yeah they're technically the same but just sounds fancier. But like Phil said (who also has a few military ponies in the RP) giving them even more fancier names will confuse a lot of RPers. My VSS (Stallianguard) Pony is confusing some people when they find out Equestria has "armies", what more if we give them fancier names for our ranks?

It's a nice idea and definitely sounds better than regular army ranks, but being simple sometimes brings the point across much easier.

And I also did the Stalliongrad ranks in Russian, because Dio was basing the Stallian army on the Russian army. (Stalliongrad is a ponification of Stalingrad, which was a real-life city in Russia).

Eeeyup, that I know much. I was one of the early adopters when Stalliongrad was established and also one of the first to create a VSS (Stallian Guard) Pony.

Didn't Dio already write something up like this when he did the REA and VSS lore stuff a ways back? I think we're following the regular US Army ranks (Private, Corporal, Captain, General) thing. My VSS Pony is a Corporal. And we already have Shining Armor as "Captain" of the Guard. And a few other Military Pony OCs used by other people are already using that ranking structure.

Another swish of the mop on the deck cleared out the last specks of dirt and grime. The crew had been busy loading supplies and spare parts for the ship in the past hour. Grandya had just finished taking note of their stock and was about to report to the Captain until she found the top deck in bad shape. With the rest of the crew busy there was no one to mop the deck. She took it upon herself as she hauled a bucket from down below and started mopping.

The ship had just docked at the famous Ostrov air docks a few hours ago for maintenance and to gather fresh supplies. The bustling city was a testament not only to Pony kind but to other races as well. Griffons, Buffaloes, Zebras and even Diamond Dogs called the city home. It was the perfect place for the Freedom Wing to stop and pick up more hopeful crew members who were willing to join.

It was just about time for lunch and Grandya couldn't help think what their crazy Diamond Dog chef was cooking up this time. Last time she almost swallowed a small Ruby that was in her Tomato soup. Gravy said it would bring out the flavor but Grandya couldn't just see the logic behind putting gems in food to improve their taste. She'd complain to the Captain but she would just shrug it off and laugh.

Done with the mopping she put it aside and made her way to the Captain's cabin.

"Everything's in order Capt'n." She said as she entered the cabin. "Our supply hold is almost filled but we're still going to need a new engineer. I've got to go down to the city later and ask around the taverns to see if anypony is willing to join our crew."

Sorry for the delay. Dealing with some pressing RL matters at the moment. Will post something later in the day. If everyone is okay with a "meet the crew" sort of thread, this should be a simple one. Any other suggestions how we should start the RP?

That site loaded like it was back in the dial-up days. I don't go much to it though. Only went there if I wanted to search for images that I couldn't find on DA.

The sounds of the wings flapping ever grew closer. It was clear that something was stirring up the Bloodwings, probably the whole brood was converging to the site of the wreckage. Light figured that it might have been the sudden arrival of a few other Ponies. [ I've got my eye on you ] Light must have noticed at least 2 other ponies out in the open but paid no attention to them as she was trying to get her group to one of the damaged buildings in the area.

"We can stay here until daybreak." She said as she took a peek out the window. "I'll take first watch, you two get some rest."

Whoever those other ponies were in the open had to find shelter soon. The sound of rapid fire from what sounded like a machine gun rang though the air. One of the other ponies must have engaged the Bloodwings. Bad move, she thought. It's only going to attract more of the flying abominations since they were probably near a nest.

"Light... my name is Light Gentebeak. I'm with Blackwing's Talons." She introduced herself to the one-winged Pegasus and his companion as she settled down on her haunches looking out the window.

No, but I'm going to in just a few minutes. I'll let you know when it is up. And what does Xiee mean?

It means that anypony is welcome to RP with me if you do decide to hop into Ponyville. I play The Mayor after all.

Well, if you guys are considering making a podcast, make it community oriented. Like interviewing a random staff member every episode, and also possibly interviewing a random member. If we're just going to do news and fan stuff, its already being done by multiple podcasts like Bronyville. Lets make it more personal for Canterlot.com. Of course news and other stuff will be there, but lets not make it the center of our theme.

Lets say, episode 1, we interview Artax, the owner of the domain and our gracious host. Make it like 30 minutes of interview time asking him questions on how the site started, how it grew and what it is today right now. Then the other 30 minutes, you can go on about news around the Brony community in general. We could also mix it up a bit by adding episode synopsis or reviewing fan-related content.

If someone ever wants this done, count me in. I can handle a lot of the technical stuff, sound mixing and even video editing if needed.

Okay, I'll start up a light thread about the crew meeting together and just hanging out. The Freedom Wing will be docked at the famous Stalliongrad Ostrov Airship ports undergoing maintenance.

it was as good time as ever to start her speech. A small crowd of ponies had began to gather in the store. The Mayor stood from her chair and stomped her hoof twice on the floor sounding attention.

"Greetings everypony!" She said as she waved a hoof. "Welcome and a good day to you all! I've seen how hard work and dedication that Lore Weaver has put into every single detail of this store and it has been a thrill to watch it take form from the ground up. The moment he arrived in Ponyville, I knew we were not only welcoming another merchant, but another friend. A friend who could entertain us by giving us access to more books and other reading materials. It is with great pride and honor that we welcome you to the grand opening of Textual Treasures!"

The Mayor made her speech brief and short. She didn't want to spoil it for everyone by giving a long speech like she used to during her meetings and other important gatherings around town. She wanted this to be a bit more informal. Everypony in the crowd stomped in applause.

Penny rose up to greet Lightning. She tried to hide her concern with a smile as she closed her notebook and arranged the receipts in order. The band needed to make some sort of income soon or she'd be digging her hooves into her money pouch just to get by. Dream had mentioned a few gigs here and there but hadn't heard from him since.

"Oh hi Lightning." She smiled. "Sorry, I'm a bit out of it. Just a lot on my plate right now."

She absentmindedly flapped her wings a few times and sighed. Aside from the band, she had other problems right now. Her father decided to take a long vacation and put her in charge of the family's department store in Manehattan. Plus, the Manehattan Golf Club's main clubhouse was undergoing renovations. She needed to juggle through these responsibilities all at once. For the moment, she locked up those thoughts and gave her full attention to Lightning.

"Can I help you?"

I WAS gonna make a "post-apocalypse" themed RP but then the "we have kids present" thing popped in my mind, and i realized that we don't want kids asking what an apocalypse is or what a plague is at a young age

Im on Chapter 6 of FoE: Heroes and enjoying it quite a bit. It's crazy in that good way, now i kinda wish i still had my Fallout games.

If you don't have time to read the chapters, I suggest listening to an audio e-book of Fallout Equestria. You can pick up the lore and canon through there. The guy who does the e-book reading sounds a lot like the actual guy in the Fallout 3 game when he goes "War... war never changes."

As for the Deathclaws, their FoE counterparts are the Hellhounds, mutated Diamond Dogs. But unlike the Deathclaws, the Hellhounds have some intelligence to them. Aside from the metal ripping claws, they also wield energy weapons. Some have been enslaved by The Enclave (similar to that in Fallout 3) using mind control devices on their heads.
