  1. Sandy sighed in subdued pleasure, Val's words giving her all over again. I love you, too, Val. Moongazer, you really are a wonderful pony...why wouldn't a male sea-pony like you?" She asked, nuzzling Val. Moongazer looked at Val, curiosity lighting her eyes. "The ocean? I've been here my whole life. What is an ocean? As far as I know, the only sea-ponies left are here in Nimbusgait Lake..." she sighed, curious aty what Val meant by the word ocean.
  2. Sandy's jaw dropped, her question about how Moongazer knew her name asked by Val. She blushed when he complimented her, smiling at him. I'm not that pretty, Val..." She muttered, blushing darker. The sea-pony laughed, nodding as she saw the enthusiasm of Sandy. "I hear from the occasional pegasus from the bay about a mare that swam like a sea-pony and was named Sandy. The dragon made meeting you suture handy. Valoren, you must truly love her...of that I can be sure." The sea-pony responded, watching the two with envy.
  3. Roleplay Type: Mane Name: Hope Locket Sex: Female Age: Mare Species: Unicorn Eye Color: Rose Coat Color: Burnished Gold Mane/Tail/Markings Color & Style: Medium styled mane and tail in the colors of bronze and silver Physique: Slender, but not athletic Cutie Mark: A heartshaped locket Origin/Residence: Trottingham Occupation: Jeweller Motivation: To give everypony in Equestria only the finest accessories. Likes: Accessories, other ponies, detailed work Dislikes: Interviews, showing off, making mistakes Character Summary: Hope grew up in a family of fashionable ponies whose only desire in their lives was to show off just how much they had. She herself despised the idea of flaunting what didn't need flaunting and frequently stated as much to her mother and father. It was when she went out shopping that she saw just the thing she wanted, a little gold locket shaped like a heart. She frequently returned to the jewelery shop to look at all the pretty bracelets, necklaces and rings. One day, she asked the shop owner if she could watch him make a locket like the one in the window. With his acknowledgement, she was filled with glee. She had been wanting to see how the works of art, as she saw them, were created. It was then that she decided that she would make the very things she adored for other ponies. She started when the shop keeper noticed her cutie mark had appeared, making a small bracelet of silver and bronze for her mother. When she brought it home and gave it to her mother, she realized that her mother hated anything not made of gold or of some monetary value. She watched in sorrow as her mother disposed of her creation, something she had made with love for the mare that was supposed to be a good influence on her. After her mother so callously threw out her work, Hope resolved to make everypony something that they would treasure for their lives. She spent most of her free time with the jeweller that had helped her realize her calling, learning how to work the precious metals into shapes and designs that appealed to all ponies. When she turned of age, she was told that not only was the shop she had worked in now hers but that she was like a daughter to the now-old stallion that had watched her grow up and learn her craft. Hope is a generous and kind mare, who won't take any kind of fuss from the richer clients. She frequently donates items that she sees as slightly flawed to the less fortunate ponies of Trottingham, hoping that by giving something to them she can make amends for their status and treatment from other ponies. However, Hope can be arrogant about her work and will push a piece on a pony if they show the slightest desire for it. She hates interviews and will deliberately avoid reporters if they seek her out.
  4. Sapphire glanced at Lilia, the twisted smile still on her face. "Such a let down...Lilia, darling, get me the photo album. Bass, sit and have some of my bread...of you'll kiss my daughter first." she grinned, watching her daughter blush at both requests. Lilia sighed at her mother's request. She was blushing from both embarrassment and desire to kiss Bass again. "Nice, huh? Oh, boy...the photo album...yay..."she sighed, the blush threatening to turn her mane pink.
  5. Sandy grinned at Val, watching the sea-pony with glee. She knew in her heart that he wouldn't leave her and she trusted this sea-pony inexplicably. The sea-pony took Val's hoof in her fin, beaming at the couple before her. "Hello Valoren Seeker. I am Moongazer, I watch over the Nimbusgait Lakes. This beautiul mare must be Sandy Shores, truly a mare that is no bore..." The sea-pony introduced, grinning at Sandy and Val. She watched as Sandy's muzzle dropped, the surprise in her eyes clear.
  6. Lilia sighed, blushing when Bass called her lovely. She kept quiet, watching her mom got any sign that she may need to intervene. Sapphire smiled, giving Bass a return bow before looking at her second eldest. "Oh? You're the son of Alto and Nickle? Did they tell you about the time Nickle and Refreshing Storm tried to get Alto to sing rock and roll music? Ah, come in. Lilia, I made Apple Bread...your favorite. Next to dandelion salad." she bubbled, recalling the event with a twisted giggle.
  7. Lilia laughed, bumping back against Bass. She stopped before a pale blue house, hesitating a moment before knocking on the door. "Mom? It's Lilia. Cherry told me you--ahh! Mother!" she called, jumping in shock when the door flew open to reveal a petite red unicorn with a triple moon cutie mark. "Hello, Lilia darling. You must be the gentlecolt that took my daughter on a date...I'm Sapphire Shine, mother of the whole quartet of Bloom sisters. What is your name, Dearie?" the unicorn asked, a mischievous smile lighting her eyes.
  8. Sandy laughed in delight, the pony belonging to the form proving the myths hadn't died. "You're a sea-pony! Val, look! I thought that sea-ponies were gone..." She said, watching Val rise from the lake in his bubble. The sea-pony laughed, nodding as she saw the enthusiasm of Sandy. "Indeed I am. What brings you here, pony of the land?" The sea-pony asked, her laughter bright as she popped the bubble that held Val.
  9. Lilia grinned, imagining what could possibly be useful to Bass that she couldn't share. "What do you mean, useful? There is absolutely nothing useful about my past...that I know of anyway. Embarrassing, yes, but useful? Doubtful..." she smiled, trying to not to giggle at Bass's mock evil laugh.
  10. Lilia chucked, gesturing with her hoof the general direction they had to go. "Mom is a few minutes west of here...on Harvest Lane. Fair warning...mom isn't shy about embarrassing anypony." she smiled, turning to lead the way. She flashed a charming smile over her shoulder for Bass, taking an opportunity to flirt with him a bit.
  11. Lilia blushed again, laughing softly at the idea that the necklace was an offering. "An offering? I just thought it was pretty...I'm with you even if your mom doesn't like me. I just hope she does...I've... I've never met anypony else's parents before..." she said, whispering the last sentence.
  12. Sandy ran alongside Val, occasionally sliding on the loose rocks. She charged, praying to Celestia that they would make it to the lake. It felt like hours of running before the lake reached her eyes. She risked looking back to see the dragon was still close behind them. "Almost...there...Val...The dragon's....slowing down." She panted, adrenaline giving her the push she needed. Water closed over her head, the music that was faint from the Roughrider Ridges now clear as bells to her. "You're new, aren't you? Don't worry, We'll hurry!" A voice said from below. A form arose from the lake and Sandy gasped. Was she seeing things in her fear now?
  13. Lilia thought for a moment, smiling when an idea struck her. A gift for both her mother and Bass's would be simply perfect! "Why don't we get something for our moms? That way neither of our moms can...can dislike either of us." She said simply, the fear of being disliked clear in her voice. She loved Bass and wouldn't for the life of her leave just because his mom didn't approve...she just wanted to be approved of. She looked at the jewlery store next to Le Fleur, a necklace catching her eye. "That's lovely...do you think your mom would like it?" She asked him, blushing. The sapphires and diamonds were sparkling wonderfully together and she noted the price was far lower than she had thought...thank Celestia for sales!
  14. Sandy stepped over to Val, looking down at the lake. The glow was appealing, far more so than the dragon was. "We can do that. The lake there is infinitely better than the risk of being dragon bait...and the music its coming from there." She said, nuzzling against Val before nudging a pebble down the other side of the ridges.
  15. Lilia couldn't resist laughing at the rapport between Midsy and Bass, stepping over to Treble and giving her a hug. "Be safe. Midsy, be good...and Cherry, go home. Sherlock must be waiting for you with a new case." she stated, nudging her sister aside momentarily to hug her. She truly loved her meddlesome siblings, even if it meant meeting her mother. Cherry smiled, wrapping her wings around Lilia. The reminder about Sherlock caused her smile to widen. "Thanks. I love you, Lili...just keep that stallion, ok? I like him. " she said, lifting off to head back to Canterlot. Lilia returned to Bass's side, nuzzling into him. "Thank you for putting up with my sisters. I know they can be a handful." She smiled, kissing him. He dealt with her sisters with aplomb.
  16. Lilia snuggled into Bass's side, laughing at Midsy's antics. Bass soothed her worries as she watched Cherry fly off. "Uppity is fine...uppity is what Mom says she was before Cherry was born. Then she just accepted that her daughters were never going to be normal...not any of the four of us." she smiled, stunned at the speed Cherry returned with. Cherry panted, landing with a thud back where she lifted off from. " Mom wants you to visit her...she said you never bring your coltfriends home and if this one is your special somepony, she is going to meet him. I tried to tell her your last coltfriend was when you were in school..." she panted, knowing her sister hadn't had a coltfriend in several years.
  17. Sandy closed her eyes, waiting for Val's kiss when the boom startled her. She stared at the dragon, mild fear registering when she followed Val's instruction. She rose slowly, standing beside Val and speaking in a whisper. " Val...if we go quickly, we should have plenty of time to hide...dragons like this big guy build be trouble..."She stated, easygoing the dragon take another step forward as she spoke.
  18. Violet shot a look at her sisters, nuzzling against Cherry to give her the comfort she needed. She herself couldn't remember their father. Lilia smiled at Bass, glad to know he understood. She nuzzled him back, her eyes showing the trust she placed in him. "I hope so. Dad only wanted us to pursue our dreams...your mom is coming? I hope she likes me..." She said, a little spark of worry appearing. She hadn't met any other colt's parents before and wondered if Bass and Treble's mom would like her. Cherry took the opportunity to put Violet on her back, prepping to take off to delivery the filly home.
  19. Lilia and Cherry shared a grin, laughing at Midsy together. "We know the feeling."They said together, Lilia falling silent for a moment. "Lilia here is our family mystery. Mom is a Unicorn, Dad was a pegasus like me. She has Dad's mane, Mom's eyes..." Cherry said, the sorrow at the memory of her father clear. "Cherry is a miniature of Dad...but with Mom's eyes. I'm shocked that she hasn't told Mom what she's doing in Canterlot...being a detective's assistant was her dream and Dad's."Lilia stated, looking away as a tear fell. She missed her father.
  20. Lilia flushed darker, trying desperately to not stuff her hoof on Violet's muzzle. She smiled at Treble and couldn't resist laughing. "Violet! I work in the wedding planning business...these things take time. Bass and I have only been on one date! Besides, I want to know more about him...hear him sing...give us a few months before you marry us, Vi...You' re a twin, Bass? And neither of us look cookie our sisters. No offense Miss Treble. I know about weird relatives..." she said, her blush darkening. She was glad that she listened when Midsy and Treble introduced themselves. Cherry laughed at both of her sisters, hardly believing her ears. " She did the same thing to my special somepony. I love Sherlock, but marriage isn't on the table just yet...we've only solved a few cases together." she smiled, stuffing her hoof in Violet's muzzle as nonchalantly as possible.
  21. Lilia blushed at Violet's comments, looking Treble over before smiling. She hadn't had a good look at either of the two mares. She watched Midsy bounce and sighed, seeing why Cherry got along with her. "You're related to Bass? Oh...oh, my..." She asked Treble, her sister's shine to the other mare now becoming clear. Cherry laughed at Bass's comment, grinning at him. "I'm not a duplicate Midsy...I'm Lilia's twin sister...and Midsy is a fillyhood friend...one that Madam didn't like me being around. Oh well...like I'd listened back then." She said, the laughter still in her voice as she stopped bouncing to try to look as firm as the old mare she called Madam used to look. Violet smiled at Bass and Midsy, joy in her eyes. "Please, Bass? I like your sister...she's nice. And so is Miss Midsy." She said, the plea in her voice the same one that usually got her sisters to give her what she wanted.
  22. Lilia smiled at Violet and nuzzled her lightly, trying to soothe away the fear as Bass landed. "You did amazingly well. None of them were expecting it...ah. This is Violet, my youngest sister. My twin, Cherry, is the one that seems to be...bouncing....again." She introduced, shifting slightly to allow Violet to see Bass and be seen by him. Cherry bounced with Midsy, beaming warmly at Bass. "Pleased to meet you! That was the best counter-prank that's ever been done to me so far, Trouble's aside..." She said, noting that only Midsy would have come up with a better counter-prank than a cloud of water to her. Violet stepped away from Lilia when her sister mentioned her name, looking Bass over seriously. She smiled at him when she finished, her eyes shining. "So...you're the one that brought my big sister on a date. Good. Lilia needs to loosen up a bit...and Mom was wondering when she'd EVER find her own special somepony!" She stated, teasing her sister a bit before stepping back beside Treble. "Does this mean that I get another big sister?" She asked Treble, looking up to the mare beside her. She had taken quite a shine to her.
  23. Lilia smiled at Midsy and Treble, the warmth overriding her play irritation with her sisters. She nodded to each of them before speaking. "It's a pleasure to meet you! Vi, Cherry...you two are...." She responded, noticing a blur of color as Bass hit the cloud. She grinned as her sisters, Midsy and Treble were drenched, laughing as she realized just how easy that actually was. Cherry laughed with Lilia, the water falling off of her mane and pelt in tiny rivulets. She grinned at Violet, seeing the shock in her eyes at being counter-pranked. "Wow...Lili, good job. I wasn't expecting that from you or from that stallion. I'm impressed." She said, the laughter bubbling with her words as she shook off most of the water. Violet stared hard at her sister, storming over to her with tears in her eyes. She hated being hit with rain with pranks, especially because the noise had truly frightened her. "Lilia...that was...really good...but I'm scared, sis...those booms and sudden downpours have always scared me...meanie..." She murmured, burying her head in Lilia's side. She was trembling hard, the water and fear making her colder than she ought to have been.
  24. Sandy cocked her head and smiled, the strains of music faint but present. She nuzzled Val, listening to the music with him. "It's...lovely. The music, the sunset, being with you...Val...there is so much...here...and here...that I cannot express..." she said, indicating her heart and head as she spoke.
  25. Get well soon, sugarcube! We miss you!
