  1. Lilia smiled wider, her eyes twinkling as Bass blushed. She was more than willing to kiss him again. As she leaned forward to do just that, the server appeared. She seethed inside, hiding her frustration as she ordered a simple dandilion salad. " I'm not...not all that pretty, really... I am, however, glad you liked your kiss... " she said, blushing at the compliment however.
  2. Lilia smiled at Bass, trying her best to suppress the idea that she had potentially driven him away. "It felt right to kiss you...both the timing and the kiss..." she said, her smile more confident than she felt. The hostess guided them to their table, informing them that their server would be along momentarily. Lilia took the opportunity to look around, realizing just where they were about the same time she noticed their server coming. "Bass...this is Le Fleur, right? I've heard from my older sister that this place is...what did she say?...tres magnifique?" she asked, blushing at her butchered French.
  3. Sandy's breath caught as the sun set, cuddling closer to Val as she tried to find words to describe what she was seeing. "Its lovely...as breathtaking as in the Bay..." she whispered, nuzzling his neck in affection.
  4. Lilia nodded, noting that Bass had a valid point. She herself was fortunate enough to have avoided being the picked on, but her sister Violet had recently told her that a colt seemed to utterly detest her and often said that her magic was pathetic. When they entered the restaurant, she gasped. It was beautiful! The romantic setting was far more than she had thought. "Bass...this is beautiful..." she whispered, words failing her. Instead, she leaned over and kissed him on the cheek in gratitide for only Luna knew.
  5. Lilia giggled at the comparison of their work. She hadn't thought about her job like that before. After a brief pause, she smiled. Keeping pace with Bass was easier with him ensuring she could keep up. " Why would anypony pick on you for your eyes? Different isn't always a bad thing...you're not a bad pony, are you?" she asked, amusement crossing her eyes briefly as she tried to imagine Bass as a bad pony and failed miserably.
  6. Lilia heard the anguish in Bass's voice, leaving her questions for another time. She noticed the light pole at the same time Bass did, instantly aware that a laugh might be misconstrued. She leaned over and offered her hoof, wanting to help him up with some dignity. " Are you ok? You have...really pottery eyes...and musician is way more interesting than wedding planning..." she asked, blushing as her own blue eyes sparkled with subdued interest. She would have hit the pole herself, if she had been on the same side Bass was.
  7. Lilia smiled as she walked with Bass, her eyes matching her feeling of nervous excitement. She had never been on a date before, mostly because the colts she knew were more interested in her twin. His question startled her out of her thoughts. "I work with Mister Ring in his wedding planning business . He keeps me busy with the nervous mares and stallions that he can't seem to calm down...what about you, Mister Bass? What do you do?" she asked, eyes shining with curiosity. She was genuinely interested in the stallion she was going on a date with, abcs more she wanted to know more. She would never tell him she liked seeing his wings open.
  8. Sandy crossed the end of their race just as Val tripped. His playfulness eased the small knot of worry that had formed as he landed. " Val, my dear, be careful when you fall...I only won because of that."she said, taking in the spectacular view that the Ridges offered.
  9. Lilia nodded to Bass, the delight in her eyes unmistakable. "I don't mind a walk, Bass. Shall we go then?" she asked, her stomach interjecting its own opinion as she thought of the fare of Fillydelphia. Sure, Canterlot had some really great foods, but nothing beat the food of home to her.

    Underway again.

Gotta love New Orleans! I hope you had beignets and coffee whilst walking Burbon Street. If not...for shame for missing the delectable, deep-fried, sugary awesomeness that is a beignet.

    At last!

So, not only have I caught up with everypony on the episodes of mlp I've missed, I am only a week or so away from being a trucker. I know my replies are scarce here, but I promise that I try to get SOMETHING when I get the chance. As for the rest of my news: I want to tell everypony how happy I am that I have you guys for some semblance of support. If not for y'all, I would never have known that there were other bronies/pegasisters out there. I love each of you for it. I won't be leaving, but I will be having a long period of small burst-like posts. Also, for you Whovians out there...keep you eyes open for my truck... We are Bad Wolf.
  12. I would like to throw out my fashion editor, Cosmopolitan, in for something. She's far from perfect and could be looking for a new angle for her magazine...even a friend for her would work. Her link is in my sig.
  13. Lilia smiled at Bass's offer of lunch, her mind going blank as she tried to think of a place to grab a lunch. "I'd like that. Where would you like to go? I haven't been home in a few months...what do you recommend?" she asked, wondering what he had in mind for their lunch.
  14. Lilia laughed at the comment on the coffee shop, her smile warm. "I am also Fillydelphia born...I now work under Mister Ring in Canterlot as one of his many wedding planners. A boring life, but at least it is one I wanted, as opposed to my twin, Cherry. I'm positive you know her better as the filly who frightened the mayor's daughter with her Nightmare Moon imitation two years ago..." she answered, hoping he recalled the event.
  15. Posted! Yay for sweetie pie Shadowe!
  16. Lilia blushed darker when Bass addressed her. She struggled to get her thoughts together, finally smiling in relief as she got a small idea. " It looks great in here...certainly better than that bistro coffee shop that was here.. .are you from Fillydelphia, Bass?" she asked, wondering if he knew the city. She shot a look to Matchie, hoping the other mare was the owner. " Are you the mare I could ask about a partnership with mister Ring? He's my boss..." she inquired, explaining her boss for Bass's sake.
  17. I have an open in Manehattan, if you're still interested...Title is "What, really, is fashion"
  18. He does indeed. I didn't think of a vacation...
  19. So how are we working in Shadowe? He's from Stalliongrad...and blind to boot, so him moving away isn't easy...
  20. I'd like to sign up Lilia and Cosmopolitan, for sure! Those two are my solo mares...Shadowe Flare can't yet, poor blind colt...
  21. Cosmopolitan grumbled as she looked about her office for the article that she was supposed to have two hours ago. The pink Unicorn was looking increasingly cross as she lifted the last of the debris away from her desk to reveal an immaculate room as everything was sent to precisely where it belonged. She shook her head, lime-green mane flying in minor disgust with the writer. A deadline was just that-a deadline! She stormed out, her blue eyes almost ice-chips as she began a fast walk to the exit. She paused by her lead designer's office, smiling tensely as she spied the mare hard at work. "Well, at least we know you're doing your very best, Wish. If you see our new writer before I get back, please inform her that her deadline is over two hours past and that I'd like to see her in my office. I'm going to see what scarves are in the nearest store...maybe that will keep me from firing a skilled talent..." She muttered, relieved when the designer waved her off with a hoof in both acknowledgement and farewell. She left her building, the size and noise of Manehattan pervading her senses before she gave a sigh of relief. Shopping. She needed to buy a new scarf, for sure. But what, really, was fashionable to wear for such a powerful young Mare? After a half-hour of searching the stores, she squealed. There it was...her new hot item. The scarf itself was very simple, a two-tone that could only look right when worn in a certain way. She chuckled as she twisted it around her neck, the light and dark blue contrasting her pink pelt nicely. The price-tag winked from a loose end, her eyes widening in surprise. It had to be on sale! If this was a sign, by Celestia, she would follow it! But what could go wrong now?
  22. Working on it now. As soon as I can get proper internet, I'll be able to update. Sorry for the delayed response!
  23. The creatures of the Everfree forest really spooked Lilia. She walked as quietly and cautiously as she could, trying not to disturb anypony or anything that happened to inhabit that forest. She squeaked and dashed toward a bush when she heard a strange noise, her bravado gone. The Everfree Forest was really scary for a filly like her!
