1. Cherry sighed as she pulled the envelope from her mailbox, the name at the top making her freeze. A matchmaking service? Since Sherlock had disappered, and she had not been able to find him, she had found herself terribly alone. She was crushed that her first stallionfriend had vanished, but she grabbed a quill after carefully opening the letter.

What's your idea of the ideal first date?

I guess lunch out and a rousing discussion of pranks to pull on unsuspecting ponies.

A stallion that can keep up with me and who will accept me for my flaws.

Anything else you think we should know?

You're done! Just mail this to Matchie at One Plus Another, 413 Saltyhoof lane, Fillydelphia, EQ, and we'll get back to you as soon as we can! Have a wonderful day!

Folding the letter back up and placing it in a fresh envelope, Cherry filled out the address to return the letter, her heart thumping with fear. Unless Sherlock showed up again, she would be putting herself out for dating for the first time in several months.

  3. Dusk Flower beamed as she placed the quill down, the finishing touches on her last card of the day applied. She moved it away from herself, stretching languidly as she giggled. She loved writing up birthday invitations, especially when they were for foals. She shook her mane to fluff it and walked to the door to close up behind herself.

"I'm heading out now, Mister Marke! See you in the morning!" She called, making sure the owner knew she was departing as she shut the door softly. She took her key out and sighed when the bolts slid home, her work finished for the day. She loved her job, truly, but she hated being so alone at the end of the day. Her friends were out doing their own thing, and while she knew they would welcome her into their homes and their careers, she couldn't bring herself to visit today. The last thing she wanted was to put them on the spot.

  4. Oh yeah! The birth of Princess Skyla! Interesting! :D

And of course it's... yes... we know the CMC will be there too, it's the Equestria Games and I wonder if the CMC are little cheerleaders, and oops, run into the bullies and then Scootaloo gets mocked with her being the flightless little pegasus. :(

I wanna see little Princess Skyla~! And I'd be on the floor if the CMC were there to see if foalsitting was their cutiemark..

  5. Hiyas! We welcome you with open...hooves? Arms? Eh. Come enjoy some of the best rps this side of equestria, meet the very coolest in Bronyhood, and of course, the most artistic bunch so far! I would offer cookies...but I'm out of brown sugar.

Mane/Tail/Other: Bright, sunny yellow mane and tail, left long and slightly shaggy. Wears a heart shaped locket.

Physique: As standard for an Earth Pony, fit but not overly buff.

    Residence: Ponyville

Occupation: Writer for stock gift cards

Unique Traits: Dusk loves to write poetry in her spare time, and can’t for the life of herself draw. She keeps to her books mostly, but will always welcome a friendly face. She excels in board games.

History: When Dusk was a filly, she and her parents decided to travel Equestria with a handful of others. She often spent the long trips thinking or reading, trying to figure out who she was. She had a few friends she would cause mischief with, but as time went by, they dwindled to just one. While Dusk hadn’t realized it, her friend had grown very ill and needed a doctor. When the family stopped near Ponyville, she watched her friend be taken into the hospital. She begged and pleaded with her parents to stay, only asking to write something sentimental to her last remaining friend. She was granted her wish and immediately began to write. When she was done, she had a four-page letter letting her friend know exactly what she felt and how much she would be missed on the journey. When she handed it over, her parents and friend were beaming. She had gotten her cutie mark. She decided to stay close to her friend and asked if her family could live in Ponyville. When the green light was given, she immediately began searching for a place to fine-tune her gift with words. She took her place in a nearby gift card shop, learning how to put what she felt into the cards so that others would share that feeling and buy them. She still writes for them now, glad to do what she does best. Dusk is afraid of being left truly alone, and will desperately seek out others when she starts to feel lonesome. She gets upset by others only coming to the card shop to laugh at what she wrote inside the cards, particularly the cards that were written for get well wishes. When she hears it, she takes it upon herself to show the ones laughing out after figuring out which card they were laughing at. She loves to write poetry in her off time, as well as play with the pets in town. She has been seeking a pet of her own, and wants one that will love her unconditionally and stick by her side when the tough times roll in.

Character Summary: Dusk Flower is a true, down-to-earth Earth pony. She is warm and friendly but still shy enough to hesitate before introducing herself.

  7. Cosmo smiled, his acceptance a huge relief off her mind. She stepped into the hall beside the handsome pegasus and pulled the door behind her with her magic.

"I should be finished in a few moments. I can meet you in the lobby, if you'd like?" She asked, awaiting his answer. She had to let her employees know that they had the rest of the day off. Why would she make them suffer if she herself was leaving early? It was unfair to ask of them.

"I'm Cosmopolitain, by the way...everyone here calls me Cosmo though." She added, the sudden realization that he didn't know her name making her flush with embarassment.

  8. -My favorite pony is Applejack.

    -My least favorite is Rarity.

-Spike is hopeless, and I think it is just adorable.

    -The CMC need to stop.

-All the good characters that are introduced disappear after 1-2 episodes.

-Discord is Q. I can't stop calling him that.

    -Twilight got wings...now what?

-EqG wasn't a bad movie, the message was clear and the fun was there.

    -Pinkie Pie is too Meta.

-Luna is ok, but I won't say she's the best princess.

-Flash Sentry is Twilight's love interest? Better get out the flac sheild....

-Cadance and Shining Armor need a child. That should be a story line.

  9. Cosmo smiled at the reassurances of the stallion, delight in her voice when she spoke next.

"I hope so. This magazine...this work, it's my life. I hate the time before deadlines...too much stress, not enough anything else." She laughed, biting her lip before proceeding. "Perhaps, as a change, you would accompany me to dinner tonight?" She asked, pushing through the hesitation to bring her question forth.

  10. Sandy stood outside the Prancing Pony, cursing herself for letitng her students talk her into coming to a speed dating event. She knew that their hearts were in the right place, since they had been the ones to help pull her out of her weird funk about her last stallionfriend. She sighed, pink eyes flickering briefly as she steeled herself for a new adventure. She could swim with the hippocampi and keep pace with the fish, so what did she have to worry about on dry land? She laughed softly then entered, her eyes alighting on the line to fill out the form for the dating service. By the time she reached the front, her eyes were once again bright with hope. Maybe she wouldn't be such a stand-out mare, after all. She smiled warmly to the stallion behind the bar and took her sheet and quill, trying to fill out the form accurately for herself. The last thing she wanted was another traveller who saw her as a fair companion and disappeared when a flirtatious hippocamp appeared. "Now now, Sandy! That's in the past...we want to be happy, not miserable, dear! So...think happy thoughts...the smiles of your colts and fillies when they swim...the feel of the Bay on your pelt...ah, that's better!" She muttered to herself, giggling at the image of swimming with her dear students.

Charming Masquerade struggled against his nerves as he stood outside of the pub, his mother's words echoing in his ears. "If I do not go in, Mother will just find another way to set me up on a date with some unlucky mare hoping to find her joy. I can't say that the last few I met weren't pretty but...there was no...no spark. Finding their special somepony is up to them...but maybe I should just go back to my cottage and..." He muttered, trying to find the courage to go in. It struck him when he saw the blue mare go in that he really shouldn't dawdle. She wasn't his type, that much he knew from her look. Earth ponies, and ones that smelled of the sea, were not what he had in mind when he thought of his special somepony. He smiled. No, he kept picturing wings...and while he was a Unicorn, he was quite happy to admire the pegasi their flight. They were truly free to be themselves. He made it inside and was relieved to see a few pegasi and unicorns in attendence. Perhaps he would find his match after all! He didn't even look at the form as he took it and began thinking of a way to play his strengths up...though he certainly wouldn't be the one to speak the first word!

  11. Cosmo blinked in surprise at the concern in the stallion's voice, a mental kick causing her to realize she hadn't reflected her genuine emotion with her words.

"Oh, everything is fine with the package! It's...It's more along the lines of the job here getting to me. Models in a huff, nothing ready...deadline is in two weeks and there is absolutely no work to show for all the effort this month has been given...and my dear assistant just took her leave so she could have her little one..." She said softly, a dam breaking inside her as she let out the stress she had been holding at bay finally find a voice. It took the mare a moment to realize what she had said and she gasped.

"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to put all that on your shoulders, dear! I just...haven't had anypony's ear to talk to in a while..." She apologized, blushing a deep red against her pink shade.

  12. Cosmo paced her office for what seemed like the hundredth time, muttering under her breath about how slow her day had been progressing. Around her neck she bore a shimmery blue scarf, one she found had contrasted well against her pink pelt and set off the same bright blue in her eyes. She sighed softly, using her magic to lift her latest edition of the Fashionista before her. While the work was to her extremely high standard, this next issue was...well, it was falling apart. She had no letters to the editor page compiled at the time, her model mares were in a huff about not being able to use the up-and-coming designer's designs for the summer apparel for another week, her assistant had left on maternity leave and she was left alone. It was a soft tap at her door that drew her attention away from her inner thoughts, the gleam in her eyes hopeful.

She sighed when she noticed that there was only her delivery colt, her latest order hovering between them.

"Thank you as always...I do greatly appreciate your dedication to your profession." She said, the gratitude genuine but not reflected in her voice. It was difficult to put the oomph into her words when all she wanted to do was cry.
