Cherry simply smiled, glad to see that Sherlock was willing to rest after their long case. She curled up on the floor beside where he was, ready to awaken at the slightest indication that her stallionfriend needed her.

Since I have been away for so long, I was wondering if, during that time, some of my characters grew up a bit? I was thinking about Shadowe and him getting his cutie Mark--a silver crescent moon surrounded by white wisps of fog--from aiding his mother in a magic experiment. This is completely in the hands of the mods and admins on the idea of characters maturing while the player is on hiatus.

Charming Masquerade approached his mother's bed with his latest potion, a soft smile lighting his eyes before blinking back the tears. On the table beside her lady a single piece of parchment with a note attached.
"My son...this is for you. Please fill it out. We love you. Mother." The familiar scrawl had Charming looking over the parchment critically.

Charming sighed softly, knowing that this would be the only way his family would let him be. The scratching of his quill against the parchment ceased as he tried to fill in more answers but could think of no more.
Hope opened her mail with a delighted laugh. She had long gotten used to the bulk of requests for her trinkets, but the one letter that caught her eye was the invitation to try matchmaking services. While she admitted that she had no luck in the relationship department, she was reluctant to hand that aspect of her life over. Unfortunately, she needed the help.

I was afraid this day would come all too quickly and it has...I am leaving Canterlot for the time being. I have a newborn to attend to, a house all my own and with this stubborn writers block...I hope to return within a few months, but my beautiful son comes first. I am deeply sorry to my partners for this.

Cloudsdale. For Cherry, the place was one of strange memories. It was here she learned to fly, though she hated being so far away from her family. It was here that she had found out about the filly's home that had eventually been her way of finding herself. Her sister's suggestion of visiting for some exercise seemed good enough to her when it was proposed, but now the white pegasus mare was trembling. She watched the other pegasi fly, her heart soaring when they did with the thrill of being in the air.
"[colour=#007000]I can't just sit here and watch! I'm no super-flyer, but I do need to stretch my wings more...and that means flying here. Ok, Cherry, get your act together! You're a Bloom, and Blooms never back down![/colour]" She muttered to herself, stretching her wings a bit before taking off. She watched as a griffon flew through the cloud rings and grinned inwardly. Whatever his time was, she was determined to beat it. She flew as fast as she could, weaving and bobbing through the clouds. As the last ring approached, she laughed. Flying was fun, something she had forgotten long ago.

Hope grinned at the observation, a wry look in her eyes as she watched the pegasus browse.
"[colour=#FFD700]If well tended, all things can last. Clouds, metals...it's all in the pony's outlook on things. Take this bracelet...somepony shaped the clouds right a few days ago and inspired this...[/colour]" She said softly, indicating the silver and bronze sunbeam braclet that she had displayed closer to herself. She kept a patient eye on her customer as she looked at all the pieces, a lightbulb going off inside her head.
"[colour=#FFD700]I wonder how it would look on a pegasus? Especially one as pretty as you![/colour]" She burst, the words coming before she realized what she had done.

Cherry laughed softly at Sherlock's comment, nodding her agreement. It didn't take long for the cobbler to disappear from before her, a content smile replacing the worried expression of a few moments before. "[colour=#007000]Mmm...that hit the spot. It's hard to believe that turned out so well...especially since I'm not so spectacular with cooking...[/colour]" She blushed, realizing she hadn't admitted it before.

Hope nodded in response to being asked if she was the owner of the store. She tipped her head to the side for a moment, a delighted smile finally settling on her.
"[colour=#FFD700]Of course you can! Browse for whatever you may like...and if you have a question, I can answer it. Thank you, also...nopony has ever told me my display was eye-catching before.[/colour]" She beamed, stepping behind the counter to wait as patiently as she could for more questions from the pegasus.

As a female, I can't really say what it is that drove you to push for more 'boyish' toys for a six year old boy. He is still young enough to not care that he's a boy and that ponies are generally 'girly' but old enough to not want to play with the trucks and other toys meant for boys. I remember back when I was six...Barbie heads were mounted on our fence regularly...first by my brothers, and then by me. It didn't matter that they had fire trucks and tonka toys and I had EZ Bake Oven and Barbie, only that we got along (usually). I didn't have ponies back then--I had Transformers: Beast Wars and Captain Planet.
Give him the ponies for Christmas, don't sweat if he'll be teased or not. He's his own person, and I highly doubt he cares one whit what others think.

Cherry turned slightly when Sherlock got to the couch, a smile in her eyes.
"[colour=#008000]I wouldn't let you neglect me, love...and it's no trouble to feed us both. Now rest for a moment, I'll be there when I'm done.[/colour]" She said, the tinge of pink in her cheeks obvious as she turned back to start the cobbler. It was only a few minutes before she had the treat baking and the oats ready, but to her it felt like no time at all had passed. All she had to do was remember that the cobbler was baking and all would be well...or so she hoped.
"[colour=#008000]Eat now. I'll not stand for you to starve on my watch.[/colour]" She grinned, sliding a bowl in front of his muzzle. Her own stomach growled in protest, a laugh escaping her when she realized that she was hungry.

Hope Locket had just finished putting out her last piece of jewellery, a solid bracelet of silver and bronze that shimmered like a sunbeam through a cloud. The call of a pony by the door caused her to look up, a smile lighting her features at the newcomer. It was an odd sight for the unicorn mare to see a pegasus, though not an unwelcome one. Rose eyes settled upon the sunshine coat of the pegasus and wonder filled her anew. The pegasi she had seen were always so pretty, fitting in with the clouds and sky as was their standard. She looked down at her own burnished gold coat and, for the first time in her life, wished she could be as pretty as the mare before her.
"[colour=#FFD700]Welcome to Hope's Locket! How can I help you today?[/colour]" She asked, a bit more cheerfully than what the early morning actually called for. She had to ignore her own envy, putting on her best salespony smile.

Solo: None...so far. I don't really play solo games for accomplishments so much as for the memories that resurface from playing them. (Star Ocean: The Last Hope is a good example...I loved SO2 when it came out.)
Multiplayer: Can I say beating Halo 4 on Legendary with my husband? I'm meatshield with shotgun/scattershot...he's sniper with anything that scopes.

All of my OC's are aspects of myself in some way or another...Lilia, who was my first, is studious and determined to do things right, even at her own personal cost. Cherry, Lilia's twin, is fun and sweet, but has a streak of rebel in her. Sandy loves the waters of the Bay and can't stand to see it covered in debris. Shadowe is the innocence of youth, despite being blind. Cosmo is....well, she is what I've wanted to be: far more fashion forward and assertive. Hope is the creativity that comes from deep within. Charming Masquerade is the one that best represents the path I've chosen to walk. If he gets approved: Thunder Struck, the hopeless romantic that likes sewing projects in his spare time.
Sadly, I am all of the above mixed together...and it's hard to not love each character for the bits of me that they represent. Though their ideas were based off of other ideas in my head when they came to be (mostly, it was finding a look that matched the story that was hard!)

Cherry thought for a moment at how long it had been. That morning? No...it had to have been at least a day, considering she hadn't eaten either. She sighed softly and picked up the ingredients for something simple to make that was still filling for both of them.
"[colour=#008000]I think it was the day before yesterday. Why don't I make us something? You get some rest.[/colour]" She stated, looking at the ingredients she had taken. She could make an apple crumble easily enough, though it would be a little while before everything was done. She smiled and realized that oats would be just as good, and the crumble could still be made as a special treat.

I've been away for too long and I've noticed that unfortunately, many of the rps I was in have been closed. So, in order to get back into the swing of things, I would like to offer up my characters for RPs.
My Characters:
Lilia: Quiet, sweet earth pony with a prankster streak running through her. She looks at life as something that has to be meticulously planned out and while she understands sudden changes, does not like to disrupt what she has gotten set up. She works in Canterlot as an Assistant Wedding Planner. No shipping for her, as I believe she is in a relationship wth Deep Bass.
Cherry: Fun-loving and impatient, this pegasus is the twin of Lilia and lives for the prank. She can't help but care about other ponies and will go out of her way to protect those she sees in trouble. She resides in Canterlot, working with Sherlock Hooves to solve cases that are brought to him. She is in a relationship with Sherlock Hooves, so no shipping for her.
Sandy Shores: Kind, compassionate earth pony that teaches swimming to the foals of SeaSaddle Bay. She has a healthy love of life and a persistant need to keep her beach clean from the debris that party ponies bring to the Bay. She lives in SeaSaddle Bay.
Shadowe Flare: A unicorn colt that has yet to find his Cutie Mark. He's blind, so his dog Colby is always at his side. He's protective of his friends and won't back down from an arguement if he feels he is in the right. He lives in Trottingham. No shipping for him unless it's set in the future.
Cosmopolitain: Unicorn mare that has an unfortunate addiction to scarves. She's the editor of Manehattan's Fashionista Magazine and she has the attitude of one who rarely sees time away from her desk. She can be found either in their main office in Manehattan or browsing nearby shops after a deadline has been met.
Hope Locket: An intense unicorn that had her business given to her by her mentor when she came of age. She works with jewelery and deems each piece to be a work of art in her eyes. She hates reporters and has been known to dodge them with magic if the need arises. She lives above her shop in Trottingham.
Charming Masquerade: Shy and quiet, this Unicorn stallion works hard to provide potions and brews for other ponies. He likes foals and will play with them over spending time with adults, due to his being teased as a colt himself. He lives close to his parents and can be found either herb gathering or in his little hut in Trottingham working on his cures.

Sherlock's movements drew Cherry out of her thoughts, her wings folding tighter against her flanks as she moved beside him.
"[colour=#008000]Sherlock...you did pass out. Le Stride took away the criminals and I flew you here after you hit the ground. You've been out for a little while...[/colour]" She murmured, relaxing herself enough to offer a wing for support. "[colour=#008000]You're still hurt. I'd rather you rest than keep pushing yourself.[/colour]" She added, a touch of concern evident in her voice. Sherlock's wellbeing was in her hooves, at least as long as she could tend to him.

I guess my biggest pet peeve is the idea that other bronies/pegasisters don't live up to "love and tolerate" as much as they should. I have no idea why we can't all show the world our caring sides, considering that's what is preached. I've seen too many comments on the various ships that come from the show about how gay the combination of 'pony a and pony b' is. Each fan is different...can't we accept that without the hate?
