Mates. What's a good anime to watch? Good plot, not-too-cliche characters, PG-13. Oh, and if it has magic, that's a pretty good bonus.

  PG-13? Darn it, everything I watch is out of the question in that case... Except for Mushishi which doesn't really have a plot but it's incredible! The reason I say that it doesn't really have a plot is because every episode is its own independent story. It's very beautiful, peaceful, and plays a lot into Japanese folklore. In a way the mushi are like a new spin on yokai. Ginko, the main character, is ridiculously attractive too.
  
  But I still highly, hiiigghlyy recommend Eden of the East and Samurai Champloo even though they don't really fit the PG-13 and magic focused criteria you're after.

What's a good place of residence? I need somewhere that would make sense for a very holistic nurse of sorts, and somewhere that would provide a good amount of roleplay.
