I can't say for Nexus but Shadowtred is, more or less, a "black sheep" in his family. The rest of his family, such as Sea Shore(his twin sister), are very colorful.

I'm not very good at reading alchemical symbols... is that the symbol for platinum? It looks like mercury mixed with gold, but I don't recognize the twin wings at the bottom of the symbol.

Thats an interesting choice for eyeshadow color, anything in particular that inspired it? Matching her cutie mark perhaps?
