Other types of glue should work. PVA will be fine... but takes some time to set. Hot Glue is just like PVA but sets as soon as it cools so you don't need to hold onto stuff for ages. It's also thinner the hotter it is so it's good to have it seep into the foam/fabric slightly for a better hold.

You could probably get a glue gun at a £1 shop. I didn't pay any more than £4 for mine at a 'circle7' (one of those dirt-cheap tool shops)

I shall see what I can find, but I don't have any sort of arts and crafts things in my town. I might get lucky at home bargains or B&M I suppose. I'll definayley give it a try, thank you.

Wow, both ideas seem pretty good, thanks for replying. The former sounds like it would be more doable within my time limit and skills set, but the latter cirtaintly looks more proffessional. Is there anyway I can do it without a hot glue gun? I could try and concoct one out of a hair drier and a print stick, but otherwise I've got nothing

Hi all! I have most of my doctor whooves costume planned for BUCK, and it is pretty good if I do say so myself. The only think I would have liked to have added is a timey wimey detector. The sort that goes ding when there's stuff. I have the t-shirt with the cutie mark, the 3d glasses, the sonic screw driver (11ths), a sound effect machine that plays the tardis noise, and the brown coat is in the offing. I even spent the past 2 months cultivating the sideburns and I'm going to bring along some pears and Dashie cup-cakes with a jam filling .

I would have been satisfied with my whole ensamble until someone asked me what I was going to do about the ears tail. And I have no idea.

I've tried looking on ebay for ears, but they're all those odd furry fox ones, wich are fun but not what I'm looking for. The people whio I am going to the convention with seem to think that they can build them out of clay and yarn and want to spend the Friday doing it. I can't even build lego.

To top the stress off I'm on holiday and won't be back untill the 11th (coincidence??). Any one have any ideas?

Hi all! As some of you know I have dedicated many, many hours to making a MLP platformer game series. I have the engine pretty much complete. I can't quite get a HUD to work, twi's telekenisis is a little glitchy here and there and one boss keeps miss-behaving but that's it!

To try and combat that nagging feeling that I'm wasting away a good portion of my life doing this I turn to you, my fellow bronies and pegasisters, for help.

I have drawn Sprites, wich are pretty good, but I have trouble animating them. Insects and things like animals I'm fine with, but I struggle to make the ponies walk This, I think, is my biggest issue. I tried to make Twi walk and it looked like she had tenticles. fluid animation just isn't my strong point.

I also need to have lots of scenery and shrubs and the like drawn. I can just steal some Sonic sprites, but that wouldn't be very sporting of me. Senery is boring and i can't draw it very well. There, I said it.

I also need help with music (don't even know where to start there) and possibley voice actors. I was thinking about having this game done with only speech bubbles, but then I decided I want a musical number in Fluttershys story. Also any ideas for general game play and story are always wecome.

Any way have alook a t these screen shots, just to prove I'm not a blowhard. I would've given you a video, but I can't work fraps.

It seems to me that apple is the culprit here rarther than Hasbro, as they have the right to edit things on iTunes. I doubt Hasbro would actualy remove one of the most beloved characters (of ALL TIME!!!) from the show becase some people are "offended" by a clumsy gray horse with a silly voise and a lazy eye. The MLP team has rarley, if ever, let us down as a fandom before and I doubt they'll start now. But I suppose untill an official statement is given, nopony can say for sure

Howdy ya'll! I'm currently in the process of making a MLP platformer game. I am planning to release each few levels in an episodic format, with eah installment staring a different one of the mane cast. I plan for each adventure to be a self contained story, but with a theme present through out. I have severeral ideas for the story, and have a basic story outline for each of the characters. Each will have a special ability activated by the mouse. For example, Twilight will move things around with her horn, Pinkie wil have a party cannon, Applejack will lassoo things (wich'll be a pain in the flank to programme!) ect.

I have always wanted to make a platformer in an episodic format, and have tried a few times and failed, but I think I can finish it this time, if I have some help. Thus far I have a basic engine going, some basic telekenisis functions for Twilight, enemies and various unfinished/unanimated sprites. I probably could finish this on my own, but it would go a lot faster and be a lot more fun if I worked on this with other people.

I feel it's only fair to warn those who are interested that we may fail miserably and never get a single adventure released, but I'd like to think that whatever happens, we'll have fun along the way.

Moving on to a far more ambitious project, but one I think I'll be better at. In all likleyhood I'll come back and finnish this in time, but I have something else that needs doing. Come and have a look on my other post if you're interested.

A note to any who are interested, but mainly to MyLittlePonyTales. I will take a leave of absence from Bronying untill I have finished these acursed exams, or at least the big ones. I'm really impressed that you can do so many voices! I couldn't load all of the voice clips due to my computer hating me, but I loved your Applejack and Fluttershy, and your Scootaloo voice was realy spot-on! I don't want to start coralling voice actors just yet, as I want to get more of the game done first, but if it turns out I can use VAs (and I really want to) your name shall be first on the list

You don't need to know much about Doctor Who to lend a hoof, it is mainly a pony thing after all I never thaught about having voice actors for the game, though that would be awsome, even if just for character sound effects in-game! So, who can you voice? I can do a good Joker and a cracking Starscream, but I don't think those voices will help here.

Just uploading some sprites I have done so far for my (hopfully) up and comming 16 bit game: Doctor Whooves and the league of chaos.

They are by no means final, though I am pretty happy with Whooves himself and derpy, though the hourglass could use a touch up.

To clarify an earlier question, I do need sprite artists, character designers, animators, story ideas, script writers and story editors. I have loads of ideas, but they could do with some refining. I also need a new fridge because mine has broken.

Anyways, if anyone is interested, please do post or PM me. If no-one does, then I shall soldier on undaunted, but it shall take sooo much longer.

Don not think I am simply dismissing this bill. It is still a threat and I would rarther not see it go through! Continue kicking up a fuss over there in th USA! Do what you can to spread the word around and get this thing stopped! Get angery! Write to your Congressmen! Sign a petition or something! But don't panic! If we work together, as we have beem for the past few weeks, we can beat this! And whatever happens, we and the internet will survive in one form or another.

This bill is vile, draconian and will grievously affect the internet if it is passed. But we will adapt. We will persist. And we will survive. As fandoms have always done scince the dawn of man.

Pluss, at least in it's current state, I dout it will get passed. The public outcry has been imence. The eveidence of the power a public veto can whield was clear with what happened in Russia a while back, though time will tell if it stopped the bill altogether. I think that thanks to the outrage this bill has generated it will be vetoed and our fandom, and indeed every fandom, will continue to exist and thrive. Even if th unthinkable happens and the bill is passed, I doubt that Hasbro will let any pony fan site go down or remove any videos frm youtube. They're not stupid. Without a fan following, it is unlikley that any franchise would last long at all. Companies know this, Hasbro in particular.

The internet has survived the creations of viruses, spy ware, hackers, spamers, Anonymous, Chuck Noris and even "The Millenium Bug". I belive the internet, and our fandom, will survive this.

Sorry, after much fuss and tracking down I have found the origional creator of the sprite sheets, as well as a couple of pretenders, and he has refused me and anyone else permission to use them, wich sucks but it is his work. The project will still go ahead, but with different sprites I think. If anyone could tell me how to remove the pictures from a post i would be very gratefull.

Hi everypony! I was thinking about doing a Doctor whooves related project as a love Doctor Who and MLP. It will star Derpy and The Doctor with the main cast supporting and a few new characters as supporting cast and antagonists. Old enemies will also return too.

What I'm planning requires a lot of sprite work and i was wondering if anyone would be interested in giving me a hand. I've done a few sprites using my own imagination and a template of a guy I can't quite find directly, but I'll be sure to give them credit when I find them! I've tried to do projects like this on my own before, even going so far as to half construct my own Sonic game, and I thaught it might be fun to do it with some other people for a change. I think what whent wrong last time was that I tried to do too much by myself and it drove me a little bit potty. If other people give me a hand, I belive that together we can create something great!... Or fail miserabley, but still have fun along the way! Hello Canterlot! My name is Jack (or is it...?) I play a lot of team fortress 2. I was repeatedly gunned down by a rarter unpleasnt young man named Rainb0wD@sh who claimed to have defeated my with the power of friendship, rarther than his rediculously overpowered gun. This happend again and again with different players, all called some form of Rainbow Dash. Naturaly, my curiousity was peaked when one of my friends changed thier facebook pic to a pony, so I decided to investigate. And I am tremendously glad I did. I have fallen in love with the show and it's characters, each one of them brilliantly portrayed and lovable. And that's the long winded and unnecacry story of how I became a brony. As a long-time Trans-Fan, it's nice to try and join a fandom that dosn't revolve around the eternal glory of warfare and killing things. I look forward to a bright future here and loving and tolerating the shizzle out of you all!
