  1. Watching the pegasus as she explained herself, Dash arched a brow ever so slightly over narrowed eyes. New in town? Probably explained why she'd never seen her before. At the outstretched hoof she waited till the orange filly was done and couldn't help but find a smirk slowly etch out over her features as she spoke.

In an informal manner, she clopped her hoof to the other's in a bump motion before taking a backwards loop from the other.

"Every town in Equestria, huh? I'm impressed! Allow me to introduce myself, maybe you've heard of me?"

Grinning the pegasus zoomed into the air like a shot, gathering up a few clouds as the colours of her tail trailed behind her like a chromatic ribbon, colours shimmering in the light as she rounded up the puff balls before taking herself a good meter away from them. In a burst of speed she exploded through them, the light bouncing through the droplets of water that splattered from the clouds and allowing a rainbow to arc over her head as she floated there proudly.

"I am RAINBOW DASH! Winner of this year's Best Young Flyer's award in Cloudsdale and probably the fastest pegasus this side of Equestria!"

Boastful as ever, she grinned towards the pegasus with bright, hope in her eyes praying that she was atleast heard of in other parts of the world.

  2. Watching the sadness and desperation in her sister's eyes, Celestia lowered herself to look over the peryton and the worry twisted in her chest. They looked superficial, enough to bleed but not deep enough to hit an artery...still if he kept bleeding out...

Turning her head to one of the guard, the pony instantly straightened up under the gaze of his princess and she expected no less in times such as this, one wing moving to delicately rest on the cervine like creature's wound to stem the bleeding, she spoke direct and authoratatively.

"Guard, fetch me the vial I keep on the chariot of Philomena's tears, with speed."

And like that, the guard set off with another to make sure he would come back safe. The rest of the guard filling out the gap the two had left in the circle in order to protect the princesses and their friend at all cost.

Once done, Celestia glanced back at Skye and Luna.

Had they both kept each other safe? Had they met sometime in the night? Creasing her brow, such thoughts quickly evacuated, watching her white wing stain pink as she kept it there to ease the bleeding of the unconcious blue winged stag before her eyes turned to her sister. The real relief now showing as a slight shine came to her eyes. So relieved to see her alright, to see her in one piece.

"I promise you, Luna, he is going to be just fine."

  3. Watching on with a faint blink, the Princess had to arch a brow in slight confusion and watching as her guard's simply grew in their irritation as the pair turned their back on Celestia and their was a snort that ran through them. About to approach them, they were cut off as the Princess stepped forward and gently dismissed them to staying atleast a few feet behind her.

A few delicate hoof steps and she glanced over the pair with a curious crease in her brow, she thought she understood everything what was told to her, but it didn't sound that good to her. Lowering her head slightly she looked to the brown pony and smiled patiently.

"Perhaps you could expand on what you've told us, as your griffin friend said," Nodding softly towards Irontooth she offered a polite smile and glanced back towards the brown stallion.

"If they're not spider webs, then what could they possibly-"

The collision caught her offguard, blinking as her sister tripped herself over the intruder and she moved over with a sense of urgency. Tentatively nuzzling her sister's cheek in concern as she looked over the dark blue filly.

    "Luna, dear, are you alright?"

  4. Finding further comfort as the sleep tried to retake hold of her eyes, the multicoloured head of the pegasi snuggled further into the softness of the cloud with a contented sigh. Sure she may have jostled herself awake, but a good further relaxation into the puffy sky pillow was slowly helping her drift off back to sleep and to her happy dreams.

    Well...'least she thought that.

All at once something zoomed through the cloud past her side, her soft bedding dispersing under her and causing the filly to shoot awake as gravity seemed to pull her down with a loud yelp before her wings snapped open. Catching her before she met the ground and swooping up to watch her assailant with a slight gawk.

Who the hay was that!? She'd never seen her before!

Whoever she was, it was enough to cause the rainbow maned filly to narrow her eyes as she zoomed up to the other. Still lagged a little by sleep, but she was quickly beggining to wake up as she peered at the other pegasi.

"What the hay is wrong with you, huh!? I could'a busted my neck!" She brayed irritantly, staring down the orange coloured femme as her wings beat at her sides.

  5. Blinking at the two contrasting words of the adults, his head tilted and he moved to sit himself further down Taxi's back to look to Fluttershy. Rolling a hoof almost in guilt, it may have been spirited but...it was still wrong, he admitted that and with a small look up to the mare he nodded. He wanted to go back to see Aven, but maybe going with an adult was less hazardous to his health.

As they stopped off at the building, the newness of it brought the little foal to cling ever so slightly to the pale yellow mare's side like a magnet to metal and peered at all the different aspects of the garage. The carts. The boxes. The tools. His ears fluttered under his leather helmet till a scooter was wheeled out.

    It was beautiful.

Glancing up to the pink maned pegasi tentatively, he stepped closer to the scooter as it wheeled forward and he tentatively placed a hoof against the chipped paint. Rearranging his helmet he smiled reassuringly towards Fluttershy and placed himself on the scooter, forehooves outstretched to the handlebars which were a little too tall for him.

But he got hold of them eventually, now....what did he do> Glancing at the floor he furrowed his brow in confusion.

"W-What do I do now?" He asked, looking to the pair.

  6. So she DID know the filly from behind the counter! Beaming to himself at his apt guess he watched Twilight curiously, his large ears flicking at the conspirative whispers that made him raise one hoof to his small muzzle to politely stifle a good natured giggle. Glancing to the trail of icing he nodded before making a small motion to his saddle bag that dragged slightly as he walked with his size, but that didn't really dampen his spirits as he continued to smile.

"Miss Pinkie Pie gave me an extra blue taffy twist, I don't know if it was on purpose, but if it was, it was sure nice of her!" He piped up happily.

Feeling much more at ease in the filly's company. She did seem like a friendly sort and she reminded him a lot of his 'aunt', being a unicorn and all, but mostly because she seemed to have an intelligent air to her as she spoke. Or atleast some intellectual depth. Blinking realising he was letting his mind wander, he snuffled in his saddle bag, taking out the extra twist.

"Would you like it?" He asked, offering up the blue twisted candy stick that flopped ever so slightly in her direction.

  7. Staring up at the purple filly, the foal seemed to gain more and more confidence. His smile brightening ever so slightly, if a little self concious. He really -should- steer clear of places, but he liked to be places where people were, he liked to listen, he liked to watch people, mostly because he hoped at some point in a crowd he'd see his parents on the off time where they don't visit and he can surprise them. But this filly seemed nice. Not too much of a stranger for him to be nervous around and the smile really did put the youngster at ease.

Well he was young, smiles often did that.

"Starlight," Remembering something he was told once he cleared his throat quietly and rose his head. "It's an...h-..honor...to meet you, ma'am."

He may of pronounced the 'h' a little too much in honor, but the sentiment was there. From the earlier conversation and how casually the filly came in, she seemed to know the pink filly from behind the counter and smiled slightly.

"Did you come for a piece of candy too?"

  8. Cumulus clouds. Was there really anything softer? Like giant puffy pillows designed just for sleeping on, the consistency, the bounciness, how you just sank into the indentation it made of you when you slept. Perfection. Total nap perfection. Was it any suprise to see the chromatic maned filly splayed over the fluffiest cloud that hung over the park looking like the bunny's whitest cotton tail in the world?

    Not really.

The cloud floated lazily over the airspace with the help of the happily dreaming pegasi's swishing tail, whenever it drifted to close to a tree, or snagged on one, a light blue hoof would shift to dislodge her sleeping place and continue to happily drift like a stick in a stream. No doubt, Rainbow Dash couldn't even sleep without being in her comfort zone, the sky.

Every now and then she would shift, toss and turn, but never once she rolled off her cloud. If she did, it would've been quite a nasty surprise for the filly. But, for the most part, she seemed happy in her napping place. Snuggling into her soft cloud like it was some giant pillow and letting her dreams wander.

Knowing her, showing off too the Wonderbolts was deffinately in that multicoloured mesh somewhere as she snoozed. Soft, small snores escaping her and muffled by her ethereal bedding.

Rolling to her left, her hoof slid off the cloud, causing the pegasi to jerk slightly awake, hooves tucked sharply to her as the young pegasi's head shot up at the sudden shift of central gravity and in a semi-awake snort yelped -

"GAH! CHILI COOKIE DOUGH!"....It took a moment for Rainbow to realise where she was. Glancing across the airways she grumbled. Rubbing her face with one hoof before she stretched her legs with a few resounding pops as her joints were relieved thankfully. Then rolled onto hooves and stretched further.

A few more resounding pops and a long, relieved sigh sounded from her lungs as she flopped onto her cloud with a soft 'pomf' escaping from it.

  9. This guy was a little shakey wasn't he? Walking along with the young stallions, she couldn't help but offer a small nod to Klang as he answered her question. She supposed that was right. She really didn't know that much about machinery and that made her just the tiniest bit tentative of them.

When asked of her own profession, the filly beamed quite happily and shook some of the dried muck out of her mane proudly.

"If you couldn't already tell by my name, I am a mud child, you name it, mud piles, mud fights, mud slides, I am a big fan of mud, soooooo eventually I sort of got into a semi-landscaping business, semi-dirt selling business...I know lots of rare types of sediment in mud."

Glancing to Astron, her eyes cast to the museum as she let out the smallest whistle. of appreciation under her breath. That was a fine looking building.

"Nice, some of these buildings are bigger than districts in Ponyville."

  10. As the search continued, the princess's heart sank. Why hadn't she dropped the subject earlier? Why hadn't she just begged her sister's forgiveness like she should've done the first night instead of doing small favours and small, 'helpful' things to try and help the night princess feel more at home after a millenia of loneliness. Of solitude. She may have been on her own but there were ponies here, ponies to talk to...on the moon...nothing. As beautiful as it was, it was cold and vacant, like an endless cold desert...

The pain twisted into her chest like a blade, halting the princess briefly in her steps and causing the guards to inquire of her state, but she disregarded them. Politely. But still disregarded them as she was urged further on by the knowledge that somewhere in this maze of trees and wilderness, her sister was here. Alone. And unguarded.

    Or atleast she thought that.

When the explosion of blue fur and antlers burst from the bush, it caught the lady of the sun offguard and her soldiers rushed forward. Glaring at the opposing force with brutal narrowed eyes, the trained elite simply following the natural instincts distilled into them from months of training to protect the princess baring down onto the peryton before it spoke up and made the princess blink with some familiarity twinkling in her eyes.

"Skye?" She questioned, a little shocked to see the blue furred creature again and wishing quietly it was on more fonder terms as he began to appologise, the confusion crossing her features.

"I don't understand, Skye, what did you-"

    That scream...

    Luna?

Turning her head in the way the peryton dashed off into, she neither hesitated, nor paused to follow and neither did the golden plated entourage. Several staying behind to guard the chariot and the one that had been bewildered from wild, roving animals. But those, at the moment, were the furthest things from the princess's mind as she tried to follow her best through the undergrowth. Her slender legs made it easy to step over most of the bushes and her magic parted the branches that would dare even try to snag as the lustrous mane and tail that followed behind her as a multicolored trail.

Feeling her heart pounding in her chest as she heard the sounds ahead, the stomping of hooves on fur and muscle and the ominous growl of a woodland bear that made the matriarch's eyes widen in such familial fear. Her sister was there. She could hear her screams and Skye's grunts and soon enough a fretted wail of pain as it sounded like the creature made contact.

The bear looking all too irritated by its pounding as it loomed closer to the pair of blue, four legged creatures when Celestia finally caught sight of the scene. And before the giant furred brute could land a final blow to the already wounded mythical cervine, there was an explosion of white and multiple color that burst from the bushes.

Catching the creature offguard as the tall, pale horned creature stood with a subtle, imposing glare to her eyes infront of both the wounded Skye and her sister. This only made the bear raise its paw to strike out in further anger at being withheld from its breakfast, when all of a sudden those bright, magnificent wings opened up and there was a blazing flash of white light from Celestia's horn.

Catching off her wings it made the flash all the more bigger and more frightening, causing the woodland beast to let out a growl of fear and pain as it quickly turned tail and fled back into the depths of the woods, while it still had its eyesight.

Once everything was clear, the light diminished from the regal mare's horn and she looked back to Skye and Luna. Eyes wide in relief, but also fear and concern for both their wellbeings as the royal guard piled into the clearing and formed and outward pointing circle around the group. Eyes and ears alert from more danger.

    "Are you both alright???"

  11. After a progression of time, there was the sound of hooves coming up behind the pair of intruders, including a few indignant and perhaps irritatedly suprised snorts as two plated pegasi guards stared at the two with narrowed eyes. The personal bodyguard's of the glorious sun princess, which meant she probably wasn't far away and if you were to guess that. You'd be right.

The two guards stared the pair down as the long legged lady followed up behind the pair and blinked in suprise at the two trespassers, not showing any anger despite her guard's irritation that a pair could so easily slip past their defenses. But Celestia simply pondered the pair for a moment or two.

"I knew the castle garden was beautiful, but I didn't realise people would so happily break into my home to see it."

Taking a few steps closer to the griffin and the pony, her guard's following suit beside the alicorn lady as her mane and tail flickered weakly in the breezeless air.

"Perhaps an explanation is in order?"

  12. There was such a joyful flicker that ran through her heart as she trotted beside her cousin and the ponies that had become their entourage as they made their way to the cafe, she never thought in her wildest dreams she'd ever get a greeting to a town like this. She hoped her greeting in Appleloosa was just was nice. Beaming away happily she glanced at the variety of ponies, pegasi, earth ponies, unicorns, everything seemed so happy and nice here.

Glancing to her cousin as he spoke and noticing the posters of him as such a fashionable looking colt, the mule couldn't help but smile good naturedly before she leant in to playfully nudge him with her shoulder.

"Don't look so shy, cousin dear, Ah think you look dashin'."

As Pinkie Pie perked herself up again, she blinked. She was just a ball of energy wasn't she? Smiling she listened on before a slightly suprised look crossed her face, she'd been to Appleloosa? Creasing her brow in faint concern she tried a small, reassuring smile for the pink filly.

"Ah'd love to hear you sing sometime, Pinkie dahlin'."

  14. When there was commotion going around with the guards at the sudden deer howl that ran through the woods, Celestia stepped down from her cart, much to the fretting of the guards as the princess furthered herself into the woods. The symptoms of the confused and dazed guard she came across with her entourage sparked her memory slightly as the guard let out a faint nicker at things he could see, but nopony else could. Raising her eyebrows she turned to the two following her.

"Take him back to the carriage." She said authoratatively.

Despite the resistance her guards put up, they eventually conceeded and took the stallion back as the princess ventured deeper. Brow furrowed in faint concentration her eyes wandered over the woods, every branch, every bird that tweeted, every squirrel that scampered and the memories grew and grew with every sound and smell. She visited this place less and less nowadays. Why? It was so beautiful here. So calm. Much calmer than Canterlot at times.

But she shouldn't be focusing on that. She should be focusing on her sister. A tight, twisting pain in her chest still pinching and making her wince at the thought of her sister out here. And alone. But that...howl. Arching a brow slowly she followed into the depths before something caught her attention. Was someone else calling her sister's name? Blinking she followed the voice curiously.

"Hello? Is someone there?" She called out. "Please, I need to find my sister!"

  15. Goodness there were so many ponies. Blinking at all of them and smiling all the brighter, she offered a small and thankful look towards Rook, atleast he was alright. She'd have hated for him to hurt himself on her, she did stick out like a sore thumb. When the ponies congregated around herself and her cousin, she couldn't help but feel a little overwhelmed. But in a good way. She'd never...NEVER had this sort of attention before in her life, not even in her youth, not even from mother and she couldn't help but feel slightly giddy on her hooves.

Glancing to the odd pony in the longcoat and the pink filly, she was about to say something when the ball of pink sugar suggested a party, a party? A real party? Blinking her deep chocolate eyes she went a little pink herself in the cheek as her chin dipped to her neck bashfully.

Turning to her cousin she smiled sweetly to him.

"Oh Bramble, darlin', Ahm overwhelmed! Ah do declare, this is the nicest little pony town Ah've ever been too."

Smiling all the brighter, her cousin's suggestion of a meal and everypony's support of such made her powerful hungry all of a sudden, her smile spreading from ear to ear as she followed after her cousin before glancing to Rook again. Her name? Oh how impolite of her! Batting her big eyes shyly she chuckled nervously.

"Oh how silly of mah'self, mah name is Bluebelle." Looking back forward she removed her hat and rested in on her back, shaking her head so her long ears flopped happily now that they were free from their floral dungeon.

"Now let's go get us some brunch, Ahm absoloutley starvin'."

  16. Watching the colt act...rather strangely, her ears straightened up atop her head in a curious manner as he told his name and looked rather skittish, to say the least. But it didn't diminish that smile on her muzzle, it did grow a tad humored when she watched poor bedraggled Scales slide onto the ground and take foot instead of riding any of them. However she politely hid her humor by biting slightly into her bottom lip. Didn't want to embarass the dragon after all.

Looking back to Astron and Klank she beamed a little through her dirt caked forelock and pawed one hoof at the ground in a small exciteable greeting gesture.

    "Nice to meet'ya, Klank."

Machines? They didn't have a lot of machines in Ponyville, if you discounted ovens and record players and lighting, though some of that was magic powered par electricity, or whatever they called it. But that didn't stop her from listening on closely as they walked, interested in what work went into machinery.

"Isn't it a little dangerous working with something that could fry you at any moment? I mean I get told a lot of horror stories about machinery."

Mostly the foal stories mares tell their little ones to keep them -off- machinery, but it did make her wonder.

  17. Watching the distant door where Luna had disapeared, she felt her chest heave slightly in its attempts to stop her want to give into those crying urges and thankfully she was soon given a distraction. The feeling of something sliding under her wing made her raise her head in surprise before she looked to her nephew with a feeble smile, forcing as much strength as she could into the gesture that she could handle at the moment before leaning and nuzzling his cheek in a maternal affection.

His words drove deep, because she wasn't sure in Luna would come around. She wouldn't be surprised if she didn't, who could honestly come around after a thousand years of solitude...? Of coldness...

A sigh escaped her muzzle before glancing to Astron.

"Sometimes....love isn't enough after such a long time alone...but she must know we do, with all our heart...otherwise she wouldn't stay."

  18. The guess on the guard was a hundred percent correct. Soon enough an entourage of golden armor clad stallion's were making their way into the forest in thin swarms by obvious order to find the night princess. They would check behind trees. In caves. Infact they were checking everywhere for their royal lady, with the older one following in check as she entered the woods much to her guards trying to change her mind, they just couldn't disuade her. Her mind was set and as she entered her eyes narrowed ever so slightly with the task at hand, despite the emotion her mind was rolling with like a thunder storm.

She hadn't seen her sister all night and the worry and the twinge of her own self loathing reared its head, aswell as fear. So much fear. The fear of losing her sister. The fear of losing...everything. With her brow wrinkled in worry, Celestia and her entourage ventured ever deeper into the winding forestation.

The memories of this place, wandering the trees quietly and exploring the night so long ago. Meeting strange creatures. Several in question she had befriended unconditionally. How many friends had she seen pass on in a thousand years that she had been so...needing of company? Shaking those thoughts from her head she kept her eyes open for her sister, all night long till she had to raise the son, she and the guards had been searching the castle. As large and as spacious as it was, it was like finding a needle in a haystack trying to find anypony in there if you didn't know where to look.

Eventually they fanned out. Infact several guards were scouting out in Canterlot at the moment, but Celestia felt it best to go where there were less civillian ponies and this...just felt a right place to be in, in the long run. With her sun beating down and her worry increasing, she called out hopefully into the depths of the woods.

"Luna!? Luna are you here? Luna???"

  19. Blinking at such an outburst, the mare tilted her head back slightly as if that would give some ammount of space and just listened and watched her sister with wide eyes. The anger. The sadness that escaped her sister in this instance, Celestia was so shocked she barely had time to call out for her sibling before it was too late. Turning and watching the midnight blue filly running off and rose a hoof to follow her.

    "Luna, wait! I-...I..."

Only managing two meager steps, she watched the filly run off before a small and forlorn sigh escaped her muzzle. Brow furrowed sadly as she swallowed the sorrow, the want to cry and that bubbling feeling in her throat compelled that want so badly. But instead she felt her voice choke and her hoof gently thudded against the soil in the faintest irritation.

Whispering weakened words beneath her breath.

    "I..I had no choice....."
