  1. I thought this episode was brilliant in that it shows how easy it is for someone to feel hurt and betrayed. Using Pinkie for this role was the best choice because she's seen as so easy going. To her friends, they probably thought she'd brush it off like she does with most things. A few episodes back Pinkie says the easiest way to lose a friend is to lose their trust. Pinkie catches them all lying and to her in this episode. That mixed in with Pinkie seeming to have a fear of being alone drove her over the edge. It was shown a bit extreme, but it showcases it perfectly. Definitely one of my favorite episodes so far.

  2. My thoughts on the episode were pretty much the same everyone else. The only part that made me go "bleh" was the beginning with Twilight overstating how Spike was #1. The part with the mouse toy had me laughing, I also felt that was pushed just a bit farther than it should have, (at least for a kid's show) but I didn't think it took anything away.

Though I did think this as well.

Dastardly Spike made the episode for me though. XD

    So this owl guy... thing...

You think he is a reoccurring character?

I'm very sure he will be, but he'll be in the background more than anything and mostly only in the library. Just a guess.

Anypony else get the feeling like Rainbow Dash is trying to shake Scootaloo's hero worship with her whole "take out the trash," bit? Someponies have been saying it is canonized scootabuse, but I get the impression from this and other episodes that as much as Rainbow Dash likes the attention, she knows that Scoots and the gang need to find their own path.

I kinda think that, but another thought of mine is Rainbow Dash doesn't really know how to respond or handle that sort of attention. Scootaloo has shown that she is somewhat obsessive. I would say that Rainbow is possibly ignorant of this, not ignorant to Scootaloo looking up to her, but not understanding how much she does. This could eventually lead to Rainbow saying something to disappoint or even offend Scootaloo.

That or she'll take advantage without trying to. :P I don't see Rainbow ever being intentionally malicious, I just don't see Scootaloo's obsession with her leading to something good. It just makes sense to me that Rainbow will eventually do something to let Scootaloo down.

    @DaBatGuy: That would've been badass.

  3. I don't remember the seaponies, but I didn't watch much of any of the other pony shows. They were terribad in my opinion and I just couldn't stand watching them. :s

I do remember the flutter ones though. Although you've been welcomed already... welcome to the herd!

  4. My favorite franchise has always been Zelda. I love universe it's in, the themes involved, and Link as a character.

Others are "Ratchet & Clank" and "Viewtiful Joe". I wish the 3rd Viewtiful Joe game would be developed.

That said, my favorite game of all time is "God Hand". It's a street brawler game much like Streets of Rage, just 3D and very goofy. Look it up if you want to know more.

  5. Bleh, I know all about working 2 jobs. :x I was able to get to sleep somewhat fast during that time, at least for me. (Roughly 30 minutes) I'm an insomniac so there are times when it will take me 2 or more hours to get to sleep. Lately I seem to be able to get to sleep in about an hour, which is great for me. It's hard for me to focus on nothing when I lay down since when I do, it's that time of day where I am free to think of anything I want. No work, computer, or any distractions like that in the way, so I often think really hard about things when I lay down. That definitely doesn't help my issues with sleeping as they are. Sometimes I day dream (night dream? o_O) when I lay down as well. I'm sure a lot of you (if not all) know what I mean there.

  6. Whoa whoa WHOA!! Are you asking me to mention the unmentionables? Have you thought for a moment to reason why they would be unmentionables at all? They are unmentionable because they are unmentionably (go away spell check, that IS a word... I'm sure it is...) unmentionable. You have insulted the gods of unmentionables, how does that make you feel?!

Even Rarity is sad because of this!

Anyways I'll stop. Once again, welcome to the herd, I can see you're going to have fun here.

  7. Cross your fingers and hope for a few more seasons :3

Luckily they want to do more than 1 season.

Well I admit, this is a my innocent, silly, escape show

    Same for me. :D

I actually knew and half watched the old MLP when I was younger, but I didn't really like it a whole lot

I had also seen a few of the older series and like you, I didn't really like them, which made me very skeptical of this new one. Which brings me to how I found the ponies. I chill in an irc room for indie game dev (I mostly idle) and one of my friends there asked if I had seen this new one. I said no and all he said was the show's title and that it was awesome. A few minutes later I decided to youtube the show and found episode 1. I only intended to skim through it. After skipping around the first episode for a bit, a few lines had stood out to me, that and seeing the animation and voice work being amazing. So I thought, okay I gotta watch this entire episode. And you know how the rest goes. I watch the rest of the series over the course of 3 days. 15 episodes had been aired at that time.

Between then and now, I've showed the series to quite a few people and gotten at least 8 of them to watch it.

  8. I noticed you said hi to me and I figured I'd do the same for you. Glad you're excited to be here. You said your inspiration for poetry has been down. If you get a wave of inspiration, maybe you could post some here (or at least snippets) for people to see. Poetry is best when it is shared. Hope to see you around. I may not be in the RP section much, if at all, time will tell though.

  9. Oh, a Smash fan. I was very into Melee and played it competitively quite often. Brawl not so much though. I tried to get into it, but it just never clicked with me like Melee did. I play Link most of the time and Yoshi second. It's nice to see someone not play so-called top-tier characters in tournaments. If I was still into Smash, I'd look you up. :(

  10. Quite a welcome party.

@Ruqyo: Fluttershy was my favorite at first, then it was Pinkie, but Rainbow Dash ultimately won in the end. Still a hard choice because I like all the lead characters. Even Twilight, who is kind of an antisocial *****, is very likable to me.

Hi! Are you the one who makes the 8-Bit remixes of the MLP songs? That persons account name on YouTube is RainbowCrash88. If it is you, then I looooove your stuff!! And if it isnt you, then check out the music it's epic :(

No that's not me, but a friend that I got into MLP showed this to me 2 days ago. I basically was O_O at it. Me and music don't mix well, at least when it comes to making it.

  11. Exciting to hear that you've had your hoof in making games before, when you get your sig up i'll certainly go take a look.

Most of it is for code practice and to play around with a few concepts, so if you don't mind ripped sprites, go for it.

And thanks for the compliment. XD I loved Yoshi's Island for its superb level design.

I'll try to remember to greet a few others on here Tam. It's always nice to come to a new forum and have a nice welcome.
